That's not what crouch teching is. Crouch teching is abusing the fact that the hitboxes in DBD are badly designed and in return your able to completely avoid a hit just by crouching.11 -

I'm pretty sure if you hold out your power as your hallucination is about to come out it'll stop the timer, then once you release the power button it'll continue the hallucination time…3
