Yes, Dead by Daylight even has the Steamdeck verified logo on steam and once mentioned the Steamdeck in their patchnotes. Since the steamdeck runs steamOS I'd assume it is completely safe.1 -

I suggest to killswitch Deathslinger untill their aim animation is back, it is pretty unfair and gamebreaking not being able to react to a killer power because no visual or sound clues are playing5 -
