If I have a clip of a 3 man swf rage quitting, can I report it?
This is a stupid question because you can't really tell what happened on their end but still I don't think people should get away with this.
I loaded into a game against a 3 man swf and a random on fractured cowshed. I was huntress with an exhaustion add-on which is probably why they all quit. Either way I found a survivor, downed him in 20 seconds and all 3 rage quit within a second of each other.
I just think that since I have the clip saved can I just not report it? Ps4 player btw.

DCs are automatically tracked, so no need to report it.

Nothing to do with fear in the slightest.
If people knew the exact percentage they would just keep their DC's to 1% under that percentage, hence we keep these figures to ourselves.
We also remove any posts that we see on this forum @Lost_in_the_Fog and people get warned for advertising and incentivizing DC'ing. As is listed in our rules.

Nothing happens to them. Thats what I was hoping dedicated servers would fix

Hope so. Just don't understand why people still do it. Two of the survivors had escape cakes so they wasted a lot of potential points. Wasn't like I was prayer beads spirit or iridescent head huntress.

You should post it I wanna see :)

When I say within 1 minute of the game starting all 3 had dc I'm not lying lol I can't post it here unfortunately.
Though I'll maybe post 2 pictures showing the moment the game started to the moment the last one left

You deny me of my perk I deny you of a kill :)

Ew exhaustion add ons make exhaustion perks useless. Idk why killers bring that stuff and then complain they couldn't force others to play with it lol.

And nobody is currently being punished for dcing. Its probably not worth the trouble since you can suicide first hook anyways. Nerf to the Kobe coming?

Except that “enough” bar is so high,
ive never seen someone get punished for it,
literally keep seeing the same survivor group after they rq
so nope nothing is going to happen to them

If they are banned I won’t see them in my lobby, so I know they aren’t ban cuz I see them over and over again and they still rq whenever they are tilted.
I know it’s part of your job to have a formal response like this,
but everyone who play this game knows that BHVR set the DC punishment bar skyrocketed high, nothing is gonna happen if they don’t reach a certain threshold.
Hell people can probably dc 30% of their game on a Daily Basis and have no punishment whatsoever.
in fact, they benefited from it because that pisses off killers (killers get depip or no rank progress) which is what they want.
according to a lot of survivors on this forum. BHVR might nerf killers if people dc against a certain killer too often too.
so please stop, this is the worst thing you can say to the community,
we almost lost hope to the dc punishment

I agree with this. It's hard to believe that the DC punishment threshold is not ridiculously high considering BHVR only ever gives vague answers like "if they DC enough."
If it was something reasonable, one would think they'd have no problem telling us what the threshold is.

I've also seen posts here within the last week where people openly talk about when they think it's acceptable to DC and those posts are allowed to stay up. If they really intended to punish DC's why would they allow posts that encourage DC'ing to stay up?

Guaranteed above 30% of your games, around 40%.
people are not dumb, we can figure it out
and I don’t see why not.
If the threshold is not ridiculously high, there won’t be a problem if they know it.
let say you get punishment starting from 15% of your game,
yeah people might dc that much, but it would be acceptable for us.
it is only a problem when you set the bar too high so you fear people would know the exact number.

That's great to know! Thanks @MandyTalk & @Rizzo90!

Pretty sure they're not banning PS4 players due to the frequency of both killer and survivor DC's both in game and in the loading screen. Last I heard reporting someone on PS4 is still not being reviewed.

It's useful since so many people run alot of exhaustion perks. Maybe people should change up their playstyles more. Just a thought

I hate comments like this. Not on your part, but because it's the standard reply by the devs. We have no proof they even care about it, let alone 'track it' for punishment. And even if they do, the estimate was, what, 30% of games need to be a dc? That can be a 'lot' of games the ruin before the devs every care. At least, again, going by 30%.

Came across this yesterday. Scott posted a video of him getting a ban for DCing. Its right around 13:00.

You don't see people get punished for it because most American corporations believe in proper management practices.
- Praise in public, punish in private.
That is how every decent company operates, and it's how BHVR operates. Bans and other punishments are never publicized.

If you can't trust BHVR then just stop playing the game.
You are the type of person who doesn't believe anything BHVR says. They could say "Nurse is the strongest killer" and you wouldn't believe it if it didn't fit your narrative.
30% is a number someone just pulled out of his butt somewhere. And you believe that random person over BHVR, who actually knows the score?
Look, if you don't like what BHVR says and does the answer is simple: stop playing their games, stop buying their games, stop telling your friends to play their games, stop buying DLC, stop buying Auric Cells. Let your wallet do the talking.
That's where it hurts.

By saying swf you already include ragequit, bm and such

Stop right there,
all things aside, BHVR is Canadian

BHVR (or any company) are not going to panic if 1 player leaves the game.
Now publicly stating your opinion/argument and gaining traction for it, that's a different story.

By that logic, you're the type of person that believes anything and everything BHVR says. They could say 'Wraith is red rank viable,' and you'd believe it because they said it. Works both ways.
I'm skeptical of everything, especially when there's no evidence backing up anything being done about dcing. I hold more credit over a 'random person' over BHVR, because we don't know a thing about how BHVR handles constant dcing, other than 'don't report, we monitor, good night.'
Just because I'm take what a company or team says with a grain of salt, means I can't enjoy the product? I like the game, for the most part. It has its flaws, more so than others, but that doesn't take away the fact that I manage to have fun. Why you think somebody can't question a company yet own products baffles me.
This is just back and forth, though.
Back to the OP, though, no, you don't need to report it. I had a clip from a SWF point of view of them dcing on me just because I was capitalizing on their mistakes. It makes no difference. It's registered, at least from what the devs say. What they do with it is up to them.

I wasn’t in your game lol, I was joking

Bearing in mind I never shown who the 3 survivors were before you put in your message
Then someone with a very similar name to one of the 3 players messages into this thread implying it was them.
I'm no Coleen Rooney but it doesn't take much to work this one out

Why do i feel like the fact that they said "people would dc MORE" if they knew the threshold means that its a high number.
That just gave me a bad feeling about it. Anyway, id never heard anyone say dcs were automatically tracked till now id seen not to report them but id never seen anyone say WHY not to.
