I'm just curious how BHVR will figure out Oni's "flick".

There will be a stream before the holidays, yes. We'll be announcing it shortly. There's not enough time for a hotfix, though. It'd be pretty risky to do before we all leave, since if something went horribly wrong, we wouldn't be able to fix it in time.

pretty sorry excuse for not putting in a hotfix to fix the sounds at least
game breaking, never before seen glitch of basement hooks sending people to the shadow realm. and you even saying you didn't know how to fix it at first
fixed in under a week
glitch about sound (and there is a survivor perma speed bug that makes them faster than the killer) WHICH similar bugs to sound not working have been in the past and fixed, making killers like spirit who HEAVILY RELIES ON SOUND, nearly impossible to play. is taking MULTIPLE weeks to fix, but you still found the time to nerf freddy and Oni.
(btw the basement bug hindered survivors, while the sound bug hinders killers)
you say you don't want to put in a hotfix to stop from making a even worse bug which is somewhat understandable, but its just fixing sounds, and its not like you are new at your jobs, and this game is multiple years old. but a sound bug is exactly the same thing as that, a major game breaking (for killers) bug

sound just doesn't work at all, you cant hear people running in chase, sometimes people just don't make sound as if they have iron will when hurt even though they are not. basically survivors are LITERALLY dead silent a lot of the times now, been in the game for a while now to, not the first time a bug like this has happened. im guessing its why I have seen 0 spirits at red ranks

what platform are you on? I play on PS4 and I haven't noticed this.
Yes maybe there are some strange sound collisions, especially with generators, but I think I can hear everyone just fine..

I just played a spirit he/she was rank 4 and she didn't do bad still got almost 30k bp

it doesn't happen all the time (the bug) but it happens alot

ive noticed (as survivor) that the groans hardly happen. Its only happened to me one time since I started playing this morning

Not sure about other platforms but on Xbox this is not true at all. Ive found 3 survivors today from footsteps and 2 just from regular breathing without stridor
I will say I havent heard survivors falling anymore when the scratch marks show it to be the case but that could just be the new balanced landing

That's very dissapointing to hear tbh, not that I have anything against you taking a break, but I feel like it would've been better to have left Oni good and fun and maybe a tad bit too strong (Not really tho) if you knew you weren't going to make fixes in time, rather than stripping him of all fun and now leaving him like this for around a month, FeelsBadMan :(

When you go into the killer shack the sounds are muffled and it persists until your like 8 meters away from the shack, when the heck is that going to be fixed?

Great, just great. BHVR releases a fun and exciting killer, tests him out on PTB for bugs, buffs and nerfs him accordingly, nerfs his flick because it was a bit too much on PTB, says they're gonna remove the unfair keyboard + mouse flick combo, and then breaks Oni with a "fix" patch out of the blue only to say he's getting fixed after the holidays. What, excuse me?
I am usually one to defend BHVR for their actions, I sympathize with a lot of the choices they make, but this? This is just rude, anti-consumer, and just incredibly disrespectful to the players who bought Oni on day 1 and those who've supported you for years at this point. I'm not angry that you're pushing back the patch, I'm angry that you broke him and now are waiting out the entire Holiday season to fix what shouldn't have been broken in the first place.
Henceforth, I'm taking the approach that many players of this game already have, which is waiting months before buying any new content for fear of disasters like this going on. Have a great season, BHVR. I know I will playing Civ 6. :)

Yes please keep it how it is. The last thing we need is every killer having chainsaws or worse every survivor having them.

don't forget since it's a bug that affects killer negatively, it is not the priority, also notice how there is a bug where survivors BENEFIT from perma speed boost. since it BENEFITS survivors, it is also not a priority

They are both ground breaking bugs that need to be fixed. And no one is saying that they are NOT getting fixed. They are just stating that they are NOT doing it now because of Christmas. If something were to go wrong over the holiday, Then you guys will be blowing up their twitter these feeds facebook and whatever else they have saying that they broke something then just went on Vacation.
Yes it sucks! It really does, But they already said that they are not doing it right now. So can we not get into this is happening because its a killer thing and not a survivor thing. Because the last time i checked, most of the devs that play this and stream...are killer mains..

YET here is the thing, the bug with the basement banishing survivors to the shadow realm, something that NEGATIVELY affected survivors and was a MUCH trickier bug because they even said during an update "they didn't know how to fix it at the time". there was a patch WITHIN A WEEK to fix that bug, this bug has been in the game for a few weeks now AND they even recently released a HOTFIX, but they STILL had time to nerf freddy and Oni
and the sound glitching out IS a game breaking glitch (for killers anyways)

Yes, but that's what Im saying. Is that a lot of people (mostly survivor mains still upset about basement glitch which is still happening to some) aren't gonna care. And it will just cause a lot of drama to be honest.
I feel for both sides. As I play both sides, But I would rather they FIX (or if they can) it right than to put out a quick patch that may or may not break more stuff that could have to wait until well after possibly the new year.
Idk how long they take off for holidays lol

i'm just saying, them able to patch a very unique and new bug which was the basement bug in UNDER a week vs this SOUND bug which HAS happened before, but yet they couldn't even fix it for the hotfix yet still found time to nerf 2 killers, seems kinda strange when you think about it. It seems it's not that they couldn't fix it, they decided it was not a high enough priority TO fix. and that other SMALL bugs and nerfing 2 killers was MORE important

Bloodhound - follow blood pools
tinkerer - to know when gens are almost done
ect ect

so I got to use up perk slots that can be used for more effective perks on my killer because the devs decide to take their time on a bug? while survivors will basically sometimes get iron will for free? ok.....
also bloodhound does nothing for spirit while in phase unless she has father glasses

I know, im just a realistic person, I am OVERALL a killer main but I do play a healthy amount of survivor (currently red rank) but im playing only survivor really until 1 they fix the sound bugs 2 tome 4 releases then I will do the challenges, then stop playing killer again. I also de ranked before rank reset so that will make things easier, because F red rank killer. idc if I get instant Q's. I hate the stress that is red rank killer, especially with tome 4 coming soon

Theres no Insta q's anymore lol. as survivor at rank 4 I wait any where between 5-10 mins for a lobby

im talking about insta Q's for KILLERS, I was ranting about red rank killers, I may get insta Q's but its not worth it. which is because other red rank killers don't want to deal with the BS that is red rank killer and just de rank like I do. i noticed when I was ranking up to rank 1 (because I will just rank up to 1 after reset then de-rank) that now and before the reset I was pretty much getting insta-lobbies as killer, not surprised though tbh
