why devs hate killers
just look the tome quests there is 13 for survivors and 8 for killers... im done with survivors quest i dont play them!!!

Because more people play Survivor. Since more people play survivor, there are more challenges. Besides, 3 challenges doesn't hurt that much. Also, killers get way more blood points than survivors so it sorta balances the scales.

What's the problem with survivor challenges? If you don't care to play survivor then that means you don't care for the lore of the survivors, and survivor challenges only unlock survivor lore. You can just do killer challenges. And Devs don't hate killers, they just don't cater to them as much as they do to survivors, but this is only in regards to in game balance. Design and lore wise, they give both equal attention to detail.

Do you HONESTLY think that killer is in such an unplayable state, and if it has been in such a state why are they all still playing?
Do you HONESTLY think a business makes money alienating a large portion of their fan base by making all the decisions based on the other halves opinion?
Do you HONESTLY think that if the devs hated killers they'd have: Nerfed Flashlights, Nerfed BNPs, Nerfed Exhaustion, Nerfed Insta-Heals, Nerfed Balance Landing, Nerfed MoM, Nerfed Healing, Buffed Wraith, Buffed Ghostface, Buffed Huntress, Buffed Doctor, Reworked Freddy, Nerfing Toolboxes, Buffing Plague, Buffing Trapper....
And they HATE killer because they Nerfed Nurse, Spirit & Ruin? Give it a rest, the game is in it's easiest position ever in terms of playing killer, it's just bad killers congregate on the forums to all Vote-Up each other and cry about the oppressive survivors.

First and foremost, no, we don't hate killers.
Second, this was something we were very transparent about back during the first Tome. Originally we had an even distribution of survivor and killer challenges, but this caused a lot more people to play killer than normal. When that happened, killer queue times went way up, making it difficult for people to do their challenges. Now there's slightly more survivor challenges than killer challenges as to not mess with matchmaking too much.

Well nice bit of feedback, appreciate that. I agree that it does kind of suck but since their is a reasonable reason to justify the decision then I won’t chalk this one up to Dev Bias~

Woah woah woah you cant just throw out all those survivor nerfs and killer buffs they happened months ago and my short attention span and victim complex forgot about them.

Then why don't you make more "universal" challenges ? This way players of both roles can complete most of the challenges without "upsetting the balance". They're also arguably the easiest to design well, not requireing any quirky strats/playstyles that make you throw matches is always nice.

so glad this post was made! I’ve never heard anyone here making such a bold statement about how they feel the devs are anti-killer. This truly is enlightening and will probably never be claimed again on any other thread.
and, oh, how subtle that thread title is! Left me wanting more, in the BEST way, and really put me on the edge of my seat while waiting for the page to load so I could really get into the nitty, gritty of what groundbreaking thing was to be said

I'm not disagreeing with you, but the Ruin nerf was part of a bigger problem, the Gen speed.
Any killer can be strong, and buffed yes, but against a decent team, 2 good loopers and 2 stealthies that only do gens and it's a GG.
Again, not disagreeing, I'm just saying.

Is that neccesarily a bad thing though ? Like I wrote earlier, in my opinion having the challenges not mess with the base gameplay too much is a good thing, I understand that they are more limiting for designers, but 1 or 2 more per level definetly wouldn't hurt, and they definetly would alleviate the problem atleast a little.

Well, there needs to be a balance there. Statistically there should be 4 Survivor players to every killer.
It's just going to take a few tomes and balance patches to get closer to that equilibrium.

Then why have you done nothing in recent times to amend and help killers? You removed the one perk which was a band aid to the game's horrible state of map design and gave nothing in return.
You have yet to also fix the pip system for killers.
Or to make the majority of the killer roster not utter trash in competent play.
Please explain to me why you haven't addresses the plague of issues Killers have?

1) prove it, you've failed miserably to do so at every opportunity
2) the game is in utter crisis from a lack of active killers and the challenge count imbalance likely plays a very large role in that. It was much better when the number was balanced out, This rift is a severe downgrade from the last one and is so bad I don't know anyone who bought the pass this time. At least make it closer and not wildly unfair on the counts, 15 to 7? Come on, and you really expect people to think you don't hate killers?

You must be new because this game used to have literal infinites, literal instant gens, literal instant heals, literal permanent sabotage, way more pallets, double pallets on every loop.
The game hasn't gotten harder, killer players just aren't as good as they used to be.

I'm in no way new this isnt me saying killers have it easy, just I see the frustration of playing survivor. All of those things are no longer relevant I think the game is the most balanced it's ever been.

I feel they have some relevance due to the fact that because killers have received 3 nerfs (Nurse, Spirit & Ruin) they act as if survivors have never been nerfed.
