How does shrine rotation work?
I know that shrine resets every wednesday and has 2 survivor and killer perks, but I do not currently have BBQ+Chilli so i just wanted to know if there was any way to predict when a perk will next appear if there was any algorithm or such, if its not too far away ill wait but if its not for weeks ill just buy the leatherface dlc and face camp some kids for a while (im kidding don't hate me i think bubba face camping is ridiculous)

They used to claim it was completely random. It wasn't. BBQ came up twice fairly close together in the last 12 months or so, I wouldn't expect it to be soon that it shows up again.

I believe they said that some of the perks will usually relate to the killers/survivors featured in the rifts when they update. I, too, have been waiting for BBQ because I really, really hate playing Leatherface. I checked their Twitter page a while back, because it shows each week's shrine. The last time BBQ was in the shrine was September, from what I remember right.

And that is correct.
As you see, This week's shrine has Bond (Dwight), WoO (Kate) and Beast of Prey (Huntress)
All perks that are needed to complete rift challenges.

Its 'random'.
What that actually means is that the Devs put whatever they feel like in the shrine. And if a tome has a specific perk required to complete a challenge, that perk will be in the next shrine.

How about that time the shrine was changed and Switch users didn't get BBQ and Chilli even though we had been allowed other Leatherface perks in the shrine before that? That seems like a conscious decision rather than a random selection.

Seems like it's always picking teachables from characters everyone owns by default and maybe one from a dlc. So far not a fan of the shrine, I'm short a majority of teachables and even I'm regularly disappointed.

I have just a question : why only put nessessary perks to finish the archives one week? If for what ever reason you miss it... You're kind of screwed AND it takes slots on the shrine perks.
What would you think of putting archive perks available for direct purchase on a new page for the duration of the tome?
That way you're sure to have them even if you missed them and it shrine would work independently of archives.
