Yes, if he camps and doesn't spread the pressure obviously IT IS his fault.
But again there's many times where you're applying the pressure needed but it simply isn't enough to scare red rank survivors away.
This thread isn't focused on "Haha you gen rush you're awful player!!!", its the fact that doing gens is the sole objective in the game, and it only takes 80 seconds each.
And if you're a good killer against a good looper he can eat up 70 seconds from you injuring him and getting a down. And this exactly is what encourages tunneling, I'd rather for the guy that just got unhookerd and get a 20 second down at max, than waste my time giving someone a speed boost, chasing him, then downing him and oh he's in first hook state (minimal pressure)

Yeah ive only had it happen once, a group of reds were overly confident against my fast stalking infectious michael. But i let one wiggle free cause ending the match that fast was boring

My point is, if you play well you should be rewarded for it. And holding m1 and hiding in a bush the entire game shouldn't be given a free win in 260 seconds as shown in the video.Survivors PLAYED well if they were able to repair all gens, you didn't pressure them, they can easily do their gens, what else do you expect?
Btw, why do killers get rewarded for tunneling? that's the equivalent to gen rush.

I don't know what game most of you are playing if you really think genrushing doesn't exist or it's just survivors doing there objective. I've genrushed in a SWF just to prove even when the killer is doing well there isn't enough time for them to fully get to every gen and stop the survivor. All I hear is survivor mains who's never played rank 1 killer a day in their lives. It's not every game but when a SWF with mic and discord shows up and know what there're doing it's GG unless you have noed and other endgame perks.

They said they 'nerfed' gen rush but they really didn't. It only affects multiple people being on a generator, and only makes it a few seconds slower.

I guess people forget that survivors are weaker role in this game where killer is faster, has a weapon and ability. Cuz of that, stronger perks for survivors. Even tho i agree swf breaks a game a little cuz of comms, but its not that often at least in my case.

Hit N' Run, using slowdown perks, not chasing people for too long, making a 3 gen strat, slugging, mindgaming in chases so you catch survivor more faster.

Y'all Killer mains just forgot to apply pressure like you should have, my solution is to take a sticky note and put it close to your screen so you are always reminded that you should apply more pressure.
You could also learn Spirit and only play Spirit until they nerf her to the ground :)

I don't think this video proves your point tbh. The guy isn't play against decent survivors.
Even if you think he does, the video still isn't good for your point since he talks about beating OhTofu at 2mins onwards (who used an ebony mori with billy) with his mates and beat him because they 'genrushed'.
I don't like the term 'genrushing' as if there is anything else for survivors to do. I blame the Devs for nerfing ruin and not doing anything about why its used so much (this early game EGC could be next year for all we know).

I play against decent survivors a lot but obviously I won't manage to kill them all in 1 minute so why would I upload an "ordinary" clip of Bubba getting looped when that's really not interesting in the slightest? 🤔

Genrushing is a bit more specific than just survivors doing gens. Actual genrushing really isn't that common, because it requires a bit of coordination and rather boring survivor gameplay.
What a genrush requires survivors to do is not heal, keep hooked survivors on a hook for as long as they can before the next hook state, work on gens solo, drops pallets and run to the next pallet as it's much more of a time waster than trying to loop a single pallet.
You really won't see genrushing from anything other than a 4 man swf group who really wants a guaranteed 4 man escape every game.

No, not at all. The idea is to make them all stand on their own without stacking to ridiculous amounts (e.g. Ruin and PGTW are both fine choices, but don't work together very well).

Show me a video of some non-potato survivors getting downed in 2-3 minutes, and for each of those vids I’ll send at least 2 vids of gen-rushing. Nuff said.

Have you not thought about looking at why killers want to stack these perks and maybe seen that it's necessary to run multiple slowdown perks on most killers (with the exception of a few) if you don't want to get absolutely destroyed? I didn't like having to use old ruin but I used it because I had to if I wanted to play nice. Now I'm forced to tunnel someone out of the game, force 2nd stage or death or slug if I want to win. Old ruin made me able to play nice.

Notice how survivors still regularly spawn within 10 feet of generators? I suggest causing 1 survivor to spawn within that distance of the killer each game then see if they still think it's fair.

Here’s my 2 cent. Yes, there are perks and killers to counter gen rushing. And sometimes it actually works too, not all the time tho, only sometimes. But even tho that’s true, why should be forced to play a killer or run perks just so that I can play the game?

Sounds like you loose a lot. Just get better or tank rating so you feel better about yourself beating up on 20s. Honestly just sounds like you are having a hard time and instead of working on it and fixing your play you came here to scream and cry. You should man up so to speak

Nearly every killer who complains about a gen rush in post game chat failed to down anyone within 2 minutes of the start. You don't need to take the first chase available, nor do you need to continue a chase that isn't working out. Plus, the game is in no way over if 2 or 3 gens go on your first hook. So many killers overlook finer points of strategy.
Do you have a favorable gen spread near a hook? Consider proxy camping to get 2 hook states for the price of 1 or force a trade.
Is the gen spread favorable from the start? Concede specific gens to protect others.
A huge mistake so many less experienced killers make is picking up a survivor when they already have another on the hook. You are giving a free unhook the second you put someone o your shoulder. It's almost always better to slug when someone is already on the hook.
