Why does it feel like Survivor bugs get patched faster then killer bugs?
I may be wrong, but from the feeling i have while playing, it just feels that bugs that HINDER survivor Gameplay (like Being stuck in the hill) are patched way faster then most of killer's bug
Killers still can't grab people of Gens/Hooks, survivor can abuse this to finish gens or unhook as the killer is locked in an animation...
Killers still can get f..."annoyed" when survivor abuse their Aim-assist (especially short killers like hag or Blight where it seems way easyer to abuse)
Many killers still got bugs on their powers/Add-ons/Perks, Yet The DS bug was solved so quickly...? (simple exemple: Blight still got Rush bugs where while being in stairs or too close from an object he cannot rush)
oh yea let's not forget the new one where you can go through the killer's hit box in a certain way (not when you get hit i mean)
I dunno this feels...very weird, especially when you know see groups of survivors abuse most of these (the grab one mostly, the aim-assisst
this all leads to simply more pressure on the killer's side, having to play in specific ways, to counter bugs and Survivor perks....it's just awfull (and then we get nerfs on balanced killer perks, but that something else)
it may sound like i am tilted...who knows maybe i am? but this is really how i feel... anyone else feeling this?
EDIT: Before you get it wrong, no i ain't saying that it's biased or that they focus more on survivors as of killers and stuff like that, it's more, like i said, the way i FEEL about this :)

am i the only one who remembers the hill bug? or stuns only stopping certain killers for 1 measly second?
they are slow to change things, its not a survivor or killer thing

I've been feeling this way for so long, I've just come to accept bugs as a new feature. The grab one is the most frustrating one of all. So many times I've grabbed but the animation freezes. One of the reasons Tome 1 has never reached the final charm because I cannot do the grab 2 survivors in a single match.

Don't forget the bug that make survivor totally silence on the ground.
And how long before they fixed the bug make footstep hard to hear for killer.

I didn't said it was a survivor or killer thing, just that it's how i feel :)
And i didn't encountered thesetwo bugs tbh, so i can't remember them :(
Yet i remember the bug wher e2 survivors animations where "connected" so when one gets hooked, so had the other the animation to be hooked, even when in the middle of nowhere :D was funny tbh...saw it again too...yesterday

No they don't favour survivor bugs. We still have the flashlight bugs where certain killers can't be flashlighted at a pallet and some can't be locker blinded.

Something worth noting is that universal killer bugs take longer to physically fix, hence why it takes longer to patch them out. Survivors are exactly the same code, just with different models; therefore a universal survivor bug, once fixed on one survivor, is fixed on them all. Killers are all coded completely differently, so not only do you have to see if a universal killer bug is fixed on every single killer (21 characters, over the 1 single survivor), plus you have to make sure fixing a bug preventing Demogorgon from using Shred doesn't suddenly make Deathslinger's hat obscure his vision and Pyramid Head's Great Knife suddenly can't swing unless you do a 460 degree turn and pledge your allegience to Queen Elizabeth 3rd before you do so.
It's just easier and quicker to fix survivor bugs, so more of them get patched quicker, if that makes sense?

Nurse: I will now play you a sad song on the world's smallest violin.
Some killers have had bugs for at this point years while survivor's bugs rarely last more then a month or two.
3 -
If you mean spirit and hag that isn't a bug, they look down when they break a pallet making their fov outside of anywhere you can blind. Thats why you don't use flashlights to blind at pallets vs these 2 killers.

Well this...makes actually a lot of sence, thank you
yet i sure hope/wish they would take some time off from the rift and chapters to fix some bugs up... i don't even know if they fixed the bugs on some killer perks, like Dragon's Grasp, that didn't got survivor to scream when touching the gen right after a kick
just like i would love an option to "turn off the aim-assist" so you can try to see if it really helps, and not get abused about this (i mean of course console probably need it, but PC? i dunno)

who is bugged like that? when i play with some FL i didn't really noticed any killer being immuned, but i don't play with FL THAT often

If it helps you sleep better, Dragon's Grip got fixed.
Glad it made sense, though.

Okay but does that sound like a bug that would happen in dbd or does that sound like a bug that would happen in dbd?

Some bugs that affect both sides are also often just ignored for one side:
the hill bug could easily affect both killer and survivor (killers could however get out there some times)
sound bugs in general affect both sides, it doesn’t only silence downed survivors. In fact, I have only once had a slugged surv that didn’t make any sounds but in almost every Spirit match I don’t always hear the phasing sound when I should

All you've done is got me thinking about a mr Krabs Nurse cosmetic lol
Bit weird being just those two though. Every character looks down when they break a pallet and unless I'm mistaken Blight who has a lower fov also looks down yet he can be blinded.
Tbh the example was just the only one I could think of before I loaded into a match. Sort of rushed it a bit and there's probably a million better examples.
Hag and Spirit can't be blinded at pallets. Theres several that can't be blinded while attempting a locker flashlight save.

I mean spirit and hag literally look at the ground like other killers aren't looking right under them but thats what spirit and hag do

There are 4 survivors in a match,
and there is 1 killer in a match.
To fix bugs you need to have information on what exactly causes it, and there is just more information on the survivors end than killer.
Wow theres a bug with deathslinger well i hope the 1/21 killers who play him give us as much info as that survivor bug which there are (4x21) 84x as much info to go off of.
Of course some killer bugs can be for killer in general but thats still 4 times more info for survivor.

@CashelP14 Spirit and hag look way down, like to their side of the pallet or the ground, most killers look towards the middle or even the other side. Their angle is just really bad for flashlights. Not impossible but you need to know exactly where to aim as its different than the other killers and it can be more finicky as the pallet itself can get in the way.

Fair enough. Still is something that should eventually be fixed.

Idk, but all I know is that nurse has been broken for months, if not years.

Dragon's grip was fixed on the move from PTB to live; it functions perfectly right now.

This is a lie, when it went live, i tried the 3 perks on the same game, and Dragons grip never got survivor to cry, even if they touched it right after the kick, or within the 30 secs, and i know people said it was still buged on the forum :)
Since then i never tried the perk, caus eif it doesn work... yeah you see what i mean
0 -
It's always worked for me; I always get the scream, so it's not a lie. It's happened. I even got a ton of value while doing my adept game.
I've since also seen streamers use the perk, and it's worked as intended. But thanks for telling me I'm lying, when I'm not. :)

I dunno, as i said i tried it in the first fiew days, never worked, had to rely on the timer showing up to know if someone touched the gen or not, so if it got patched in the mean time, i dunno, but for sure it still had bugs for the first 3 or 5 days

I would imagine killer bugs are more difficult to fix than survivor bugs because survivors are just skins and don’t have special powers.
0 -
It's nothing to do with being either killer or survivor favoured, it's purely what can be fixed and implemented into the game within the time frame. A lot of bugs are more complicated than others as to why they occur and subsequently take longer to reproduce and to fix. For example the sound bug that was complained about for some time - this only happened for a portion of the community, so isolating the cause was made even harder.
2 -
Survivor got the special power to turn into pros and never be found or hit while in a chase
But this power only activates when in SWF, other wise Survivors are pretty.....lets just say they are easyer to catch then
0 -
Sorry said it wrong, survivors have less interaction than killers given they have their own powers.

*Laughs in Nurse as I struggle to use my second blink*
You’ll get used to it, son.

Nono i understood you, just tried a bit of humour on top of your note thats it

Depends the killer, dont have any problems with pig or legion, but god damn blight, i love him, but he feels sooo....bad...sometimes, when you cant bump into cars, pass a door or when people abuse your fov/aim :'(
0 -
Yes I agree. Was just explaining a bit more about it, I don't think it should be that way though.
0 -
You were surprised how many survivor gaming feeling the exact same just with the killer bug fixes.
They dont care if it's a survivor or killer bug. It depends on many factors like how complicated is the bug, how impactful is the bug, could a bug make it to a feature, is there a big interest in the community to fix that afap. Just so much dude.
0 -
I knwo they dont make favoritism, that wasnt my point
I play both sides an equal amount of time, yet when i play killer i often feel like there is a bug or something in the game, as survivor it doesnt happen as often, or i dont feel it that way :)
Just was curious about it with other people, and a forum is made to talk about stuff, so why not :D
0 -
Yeah, they really were quick to fix that hill glitch 😄
0 -
Predator becomes prey, everything is scared of something, humans are scared of the silent hill monsters, SH monsters scared of Pyramid Head, Pyramid Head is scared of Queen Elizabeth 3rd
2 -
Queen Elizabeth 3rd fears nobody.
We should all fear.
2 -
Who do you think was the one that brought Pyramid Head to the realm in the first place?
The Entity?
2 -
Did we just confirm the next killer???
;)

Survivor gameplay is much simpler than killer gameplay, mechanically speaking, so it's much easier to reproduce bugs with them. Killers are very complex by comparison, so it's harder to reproduce bugs on their end.
