How we feeling, BHVR?
Just randomly decided to check Steve's cosmetics and i found this:
######### is that? Did you guys even try to make it different besides using dirt and other shoes?
Update: shoes are the same actually, my bad

Well, not to toot too obvious a horn, but just don't buy it? I suspect there MIGHT be someone out there who wants dirty jeans, and this would be the cosmetic for them. I don't understand the thirst for any cosmetics really. People go through Prestige just so they can cover their outfits in blood. And as for different, just how different do you think one pair of jeans is going to look from another?
I get what you are saying, but they wouldn't have it up there if there wasn't someone wanting to buy it, i.e. have a choice between the two. Why complain about the company giving you more options rather than less?

Same deal/energy as Adam having shorter /longer hair as a cosmetic to buy....

Well, getting prestige is free and this thing is not. I won't buy it, but it's funny to see how they trying to fool ppl. I laughed hard when i saw that in store decided to share it there. All i wanted is to show that and prevent players from buying this scam.

Having more options of cosmetics is good but not when they are the same. No one is happy when all you see is recolors when they just releases character (original ones) but many people buy this one new outfit that comes with the recolors as well. And it's good when this cosmetic is completely unique. In this case, the character is licensed and all outfits cost real money and you expect them to be unique bc Steve and other licensed survivors/killers have not that many clothes. But instead of creating something good BHVR just tried to scam us and they did it pretty good. People pay money for that bc they want to have different options, really different but not just dirty pants from other outfit, it's not fair.
I want to mention that i don't complain about that. At the end, everyone are capable to decided themselves what to buy or not

Part of the issue is that the character is licensed. That is probably all they got permission to do. You will notice that trend with most of the licensed characters, except for Ghostface because of the lucrative relationship the have with the costume company. My point, which I didn't make clear enough is that their offering a set of the same jeans, only dirty, does no damage to ANYONE. It is just an uninspiring option. It is still better than nothing. You complained to complain. You weren't injured by this, nor was anyone else. That is the problem on this Forum; complaining and looking for something to complain about has become a sport.

Well, if you think i complain, okay, can't prove that bc you're not me and i'm not you. We have different views on this situation. You can't know if no one was damaged at all let's be honest. Dirty jeans is better than nothing? Nope, don't think so. They could add some other pants or just rework this ones better so people like me would not make posts like this. It was a scam, it is and and it will be.
Since we won't come to the same point, i suggest you to ignore this message and read something positive. Or maybe to ignore every post like this one. Have a nice day <3

The team try to get a variety of cosmetics out for all characters that we can do that for - obviously we have licensing restrictions to take into consideration as well.
Also, the joy of cosmetics is that they are optional and some might want dirty trousers whilst some want clean - so at least that option is there.
But thank you for your feedback :)

quick
guess which one costs 400 AC, while the other is a base cosmetic

I don’t think anyone has an issue with the choice of dirty or clean trousers, but at nearly £4? Come on, it’s hardly surprising that people find it funny.

I hope licensing restrictions was the only thing why it happened. I hardly doubt that someone would ever ask for the choice between clean and dirty pants and not for something more original.
