Is devour hope change intentional?
I really hope not. Its my favorite perk in the game. Ive been playing less and less killer lately as it seems survivors are getting more and more douchey so i haven't checked it.
Hoping its a bug.

could be talking about the token reset from undying if it gets cleansed. supposedly that's the way it's supposed to be.

If you explain what the change is or what you think is a bug, I might be able to confirm it one way or another, right now I am not sure what you mean.

devour hope is one of the most fair perks in the game

I've actually never had survivors whine about getting moried from 5 stacks of Devour Hope. Cause they could have done something about it. It's like getting hit by Blood Warden. Instead of complaining "BW is OP" they think "I should have 99% the gates". They get hit by DH and think "I shouldn't have rushed the gens" or "So that's why this killer wasn't camping". IMO it's what a hex should be. Very powerful, a nice reward half way through and they don't know it's on the field until it's dangerous.

same, it's a strong perk but really well balanced imo and I enjoy playing against it as a survivor and with it as a killer.

Agreed. I always kill Totems as quickly as I find them. This sometimes annoys one of my friends. He is like, "It is going to be Haunted Ground!" I'm like, sure, but I'd rather we get exposed right now, than eat the Mori later. :)

@MandyTalk I'm pretty sure they're referring to the bug where supposedly Devour Hope requires the victim to be on stage 2 of their hook cycle.
And this makes sense to me on one front:
Devour Hope moris seem to be treated as Ebony Moris, judging from the fact that the Ebony Mori icon appears over a Survivor when I go to mori them with Devour Hope, even when no Mori offering is used.

Weird bug, makes sense the game would apply it to devour hope. Let's hope they fix it soon.

Hrm. That does sound like a likely, unintended side-effect of the recent Mori change. If they didn't go back in and make code allowances for Devour Hope, it would fall in line with the the other Mori which is most certainly NOT what people are bargaining for at all. I haven't been playing with the Perk so I don't know if that is what is going on, but I hope not. The Perk would die immediately. It would also mean other abilities, like Pyramid Head and Myers which Mori might have the same thing happening. I might have to test out some Tombstone Pieces.

No afaik the terms to Devour Hope haven't changed so DH shouldn't have changed...the change to Ebony Mori's shouldn't have affected DH in the slightest - I've also not seen any evidence of this either, I have been DH'd mori'd in the last couple of days without being hooked twice though, so not sure if there's a random bug that happened to someone or if we just have an unfounded rumour spreading around.

To add onto this, I haven't had this bug occur to me and I use Devour Hope every match on Clown who I've played a ton of in recent weeks.
