Survivors only find good killers boring
Many survivors say they love playing against Myers trapper wraith pig clown because they are bad killers but if they face a nurse spirit Freddy hag they are boring unfun unfair

People also hate going against some weaker killers due to how their powers are. A LOT of people don't like going against Clown, Legion or Doctor even though these killers are decently underwhelming. Billy was also very strong and still can be, but people did enjoy going against him. Not only strong killers are considered annoying to go against.
7 -
I disagree with this assessment. Most survivors find killers such as Blight, Nurse, Billy, etc. To be fun to verse. These are all strong killers. You simply cherry picked killers to make your point.

Please tell me how Deathslinger is good
4 -
Didn't know that clown, legion, trapper and snoreslinger were top tier killers: I guess I'm just a ######### survivor then.
4 -
I didn’t say that lol @konchok didnt mean to reply to your post
1 -
You didn't say what? I didn't say you said anything. I said you cherry picked, which you obviously did.
0 -
Nah, there's strong killers I love going against and weaker ones that I dislike.

Updated the posts didn’t mean to reply to your post

I didn’t say he is lol. Altough he is a decent killer
0 -
Well he is one of the most complained about killers, so surely you must think he's a good killer if so many survivors complain about him.
0 -
He is good if you got a csgo back ground you can easily kill survivors fast
0 -
Disagreed. The strength does not have anything to do with how Survivors like a Killer.
Old Legion was heavily disliked despite being one of the weakest Killers of the game.
Clown is also not really a favorite, despite considered the weakest Killer.
OLD Nurse was more liked than Spirit, despite clearly being stronger.
Strong Killers like Billy, Blight or Oni dont really cause any Hate, but Killers like Deathslinger, Spirit or Hag do, due to the fact how they are played and either provide next to no counterplay (Spirit, Deathslinger) or make an overall unfun experience (Hag).
10 -
No that's a big lie. People hate facing Legion and call him boring which I don't understand.
I always hated Hag. No matter if she's playing good or bad.
2 -
I personally hate Legion because all of your interactions with the killer are terrible. If Legion has frenzy up and you're close to them, you're getting deep wounded 99% of the time unless the Legion is a potato. Then one of two things happen:
1) The killer runs away and you just need to sit there and hold M1 for a while. It's not fun to take a hit you basically can't avoid and then need to sit around holding M1.
2) The killer determines no other survivors are close by and then cancel their power and start chasing. In this case you have to complete the rest of the chase with deep wound VFX on your screen, which are extremely irritating to chase through because they make it hard to see. This is even worse in dark areas like the lower level of The Game.
----
The other consideration is that Legion is entirely based around time wasting, which causes matches to drag on and limits how many BPs you earn. That's a secondary annoyance, but it's still a factor.
0 -
Pretty sure legion and Trapper aren't really good killers.
0 -
^ from my experience, exactly this.
The killers that survivors tend to complain about the most are the ones where counterplay is very limited.
5 -
The deep wound thing I fully understand. I feel the same with Freddy when it comes to the vfx.
At least I can tell from your answer that you agree with my overall viewpoint lol that survivors don't only call killers boring because their strong. Means I made a good choice choosing Legion for that example.
0 -
I kind of agree but disagree on one thing. From my experience survivors find any good killer player boring or unfun. Most survivors have fun when the killer is less skilled than they are. I only get nice comments if I lose and played fair but negative comments if I win and played fair.
0 -
I wouldn't really support the claim that people in general like playing against Wraith.
Maybe they like facing his Killer Power in general, but a pretty common use of that Killer Power is to camp close by while cloaked.
It's also pretty logical that you'd enjoy a trial that you are more confident in winnning than losing.
There's numerous posts here of people going: "SWF? I quit." or "Spirit? I quit."
1 -
I disagree with it. Killers who are good are fun to verse, now a killer who is good already doesn't need 4 slow down perks + 2 slow down add-ons. I mean, Freddy is used in that way and is boring because you need to hold M1 for almost 2 mins just to do a single gen, it's not because he's a powerful killer but that he can create a 20 min match, making it boring.
0 -
Oh yeah, I 100% agree that survivors don't only call strong killers boring and weak killers fun. Deathslinger is my least favorite to play against by a long shot and he's pretty average.

Survivor bias is strong in this game
1 -
Then why did they buff and rework Freddy Doctor leatherface, and now clown and are buffing wraith and demogorgon. If they were survivor biased then these killers and maps would never be reworked
1 -
That's wrong. The most fun part of Dead by Daylight is the chase interaction between the survivors and the killer. There are other things survivors can do such as opening chests, doing gens and cleansing totems but they are all just M1 simulator so chases are the only fun part of the game. Now when even the chase gets boring since killers like Pyramid Head, Slinger, Freddy and Spirit exist, that's when survivors use the "boring" excuse. Blight, Nurse and Billy as well as Huntress if dedicated servers don't screw you over are very fun killers to play as and against and they are very powerful in the right hands. These are the kinds of killers that are fun since it really feels like "Skill vs. Skill" interaction whereas killers like Slinger and Spirit who can literally down you no matter what you do are boring.
1 -
Hag is boring cause it requires 0 skill to play it -> spamming TP, oncve you TP no need to aim, just press M1.
Freddy is boring cause he has way too much map control --> snares, TP.
Doctor is boring cause he has too many powers --> find you all the time, can deny pallets, when crazy you can't use your items and you yell, fake pallets, fake doctor showing where you are, skill checks harder...
Spirit is boring only when it uses Stridor, if not it's pretty good.
Those killers have 0 counterplay, if the player is competent, it's 4k - 100% of the time. Anyway the most boring killer to play against is deathslinger, clearly the worst of all.
1 -
Since when is Doctor underwhelming? You've met his power right?
0 -
agreed the buffed Freddy which is good but they are going to nerf him soon they removed moris basically with out warning while keys are still a thing and will give a warning to survivors so they can use them before the nerf comes

I post here for the funs and help new killers

This game has taken a road that can't be viable for asymetrical gaming. I still play it because i have friends to play with but if it was not the case i would stop right away.
Most killers are ok BUT perks are dumb and change too much the way to play the game.
All survivors are clone and can equip all perks, removing all the goal of a team with complementary build (exemple a healer, a runner, a saver and a gen rusher).
Evolve was a game with way better teamplay mechanic. Unfortunately the game didn't encounter the success it deserved but it was miles ahead DbD. But the press stomp (unjustified) killed it.
To summurize it :
You had a monster that had to kill 4 hunters.
In a team, each hunter was from a different class : a trapper, a dmg dealer, a healer and a support.
Trapper had to catch the monster and to slow it down.
Dmg dealer had to deal dmg
Healer had to heal and had a secondary power (like creating weak points on the monster)
Support had to support the team (either cloak them, either shield them)
And the team needed to create a synergie to survive and kill the monster. No one could survive without the support's and healer's job, no one could dmg the monster without it being trapped and being stomped by the dmg dealer etc... One mistake and the monster won the game. With no mistake on both side it was a 50/50 chance of winning. The teamplay was beyond everything you know in the multiplayer game history. You can check some gameplay on youtube.
There were perks also, perks that gave small bonuses but nothing game changing. Nothing as strong as NOED or Ruin/Undying or DS/Unbreakable.
When we compare DbD, we clearly see that the teamplay features are weak, there is nothing but this : being two on a gen, unhooking, bodyblocking, being two to heal. Other things like flashlight/pallet saves are so rare that i don't call this teamplay.
So yes, DbD is not a team game, it's a 1 v 4xindividuals game. All 4 survivors can play for him/her self 99% of the time. Why ? Mostly because most perks are teachable, same for killers, all perks are teachable, most killers have the same build... And perks are globally way too strong.
So playing killer is boring in many ways : same perks, same survivor builds again and again, same strategy, ez down etc...
Playing survivor is boring : same braindead matchmaking, same builds again and again, doing gens again and again, barely any teamplay mechanic...
Ask around you why some ppl continue to play the game, they will all tell you it's a bad game now but they continue to play it cause they can gather with friends. That's all. Around me, no one is really interested in playing DbD but there is this game and FPS but we don't like FPS...

Thats not true. For example i find legion boring because mend mend mend. How ever i find spirit fun because i like the mind games i get with her.

Bruh evolve was amazing ! If the marketing didn’t suck we would’ve had evolve 2 i player the alpha and beta and base game it’s so awesome and the character design is just awesome I wish Dbd had this mechanic that one person is healer one is repair guy one the saver one the rusher guy that is in chases all the time makes characters different just like killer
1 -
He has an ability that can zone out survivors and has high lethality in a chase. He can also have a pretty small terror radius when using M&A which helps him sneak up to people more often.
0 -
I don't know about that. I am pretty devastating most of the time playing Myers and most people (the majority) seem to have a good time. While I agree there are certain people who are only nice when they when, and nasty when they lose.... most Players are better sports than that and can enjoy the game win or lose.

Ye, developpers could have some imagination and rework the game, keeping the map and the base concept : doing gens to escape with a 1v4 setup.
But then totally rework the survivors :
- runner : can equip speed and survivability perks, has 2 health state, can't heal himself, only flashlight item available
- healer : heal fast, auto-heal, 2 health state, no item, can do gens, iron will
- support : jake of all trade, 4 health state, have borrow time, can equip items, instant P2, cannot do gens, can do side "quest"
- gen rusher : do gens faster, 2 health state, no item
It's just some idea, they could be way more different with some not able to use windows or only in midspeed vault...

personally, I think the lack of role is to dbd's benefit. Solo evolve was easily some of the worst gameplay I've ever had. If you had a trapper that didn't know how to trap, gg. A medic or support that didn't conserve fuel, gg. I do agree that teamplay in Evolve felt really good, but it also felt (to me at least) that it was strictly a "play with your friends" game. I feel like if dbd was balanced strictly around the swf death squads, it would end like Evolve. Dead.
Though, I remember evolve having some bugs that made things worst for first timers when it came out. Like jet packs not working correctly when you scale cliffs, you would waste fuel climbing it, when it wasn't supposed to making the chases feel slow and leading to the whole "walking simulator" feelings. and Wraith abduction being bugged into doing double instances of damage letting her insta-gib people, something they only discovered in stage 2.. after they nerfed her already.
Idk, dbd feels like it's too easy for it to feel like garbage for each side with the slightest change sometimes.

His anti loop is not good at all. Ever since they removed shock therapy cancelling vaults, you can just press space before he shocks you in most situations and then vault anyways. Madness tier 3 is basically just sitting someone out for like 15 seconds while they lose you and then snap out of it, and then they're back to doing whatever they were doing. His power is countered by simply not greeding pallets. He's not as good as people think he is. The anti-loop is basically non existent against survivors that know what they're doing.

Well they t-bag and insult lower tier killers with non meta perks/addons that don't camp/tunnel.
So a lot of them are like **** that and pick up spirit, take all meta stuff; and then never show any leniency anymore going forward. Their memories of doing that were rewarded with negativity and bad experiences so of course they are going to gravitate to the one that let them win those matches at least- and they become so grated to the negative feedback they just ignore it entirely and do what they want.
If you stopped t-bagging and taunting that brown addon wraith that the exit gates and calling him dog* * * * in the post game chat; instead telling him he did a fairly good job with what he had- they might keep playing more Wraith instead of going "Wow this Freddy guy sure is much easier and those people that were mean to me seem to really hate him- so I definitely want to use this one more"

Going against the "Mending Simulator" Legion is always a bore
1 -
I think legion is boring because his power is to wound you and catch up with you later. Also his power is always used to camp or get to 3v1 and it's just the same strat over and over. Same with huntress and Freddy they all play a certain way and after you've seen it done a hundred times you feel like well I died to that again or I escaped from that again. The way to play them is just too linear.
1 -
Bro I love going against Nurse & Billy and they are pretty solid killers (I loved going against Billy even before his stupid nerf so don't bring the goddamn nerf up pls and thank you). And I hate going against Clown so yeah.
It's not only about the killers being "good". Nurse and Billy (and Blight) are tough killers to learn but they highly reward your skill as a player. And they have solid counterplay. Spirit and Freddy have little to no counterplay and are literally braindead to play. I will not be discussing this because it's a fact, it has been proven multiple times and anyone who denies it is deluded. As for Hag, I just find the crouchfest kinda annoying tbh. But I don't find her as annoying as the two mentioned above, because she actually requires some brains from whoever is playing as her.

Let's see your perk buidl. Let's see if you like go against the strong ones as it feels better to bully them or if you actually like a challange.
0 -
Uh Billy was probably the least complained about killer before his nerf. And he was A tier. So no they don't mind facing strong killers.
0 -
Evolve died and for good reason, literally every game played out the exact same. DBD is random enough to keep things interesting.
DBD is not advertised as a team game. Read the description on steam. “Survive with others.....or don’t” and that’s what makes it very unique since red rank solo q is almost more a battle royal for survival than some kind of MMO with defined classes.
1 -
Very well writen. You took the words from my head.
0 -
And killers also hate going against Decisive Strike, Unbreakable and Dead Hard because it's boring unfun unfair.
0 -
I don't have a set perk build, I switch out all of my perks for survivor fairly regularly. Why does that matter anyway?
Just because I dislike going against certain killers doesn't mean I want to "bully" every killer I come across, but go off I guess.
