Can I get banned by using DBD Icon Toolbox?
I'm kinda scared of getting banned so I ask

Devs said they dont ban, ask eac. Eac said they dont ban, ask devs.

This isn't something that we will actively ban you for, but if things change and you do get automatically banned by EAC, we will not be able to unban you. That's why the only answer we can give, is that this is done at your own risk.

What are you asking about?

Changing icons and character portraits in-game to something more snazzy

You can change them in game?

Trough changing the game files yes. If their detection system brainfarts and bans you for it they wont unban you but plenty of people change the look of the game and are fine.

I actually found out they have a way of easily installing these said icons, when I got my own personal icons in the game I was balls deep scared of ######### up the code. I hit the download button, and make sure the game was working as intended it apparently downloaded itself into the game

Honestly that doesn't worth the risk...

So I completely respect the "do this at your own risk". Which I do. As well as any time someone comes into my stream and asks how to do it, I make it REALLY clear that they are also doing so (I've actually quoted your post when explaining), because i dont want something to happen one day and them to have not known. But my question is a tad different.
I really want to try for Shirt Your Survivor. I meet all the requirements and I think I would be a wonderful representation for the two (dbd/twitch), but... I would like to know. Does using the cute pictures (which I'm so in love with, just a splach of color in my otherwise dying with friends world), does this completely disqualify me from Shirt Your Survivor? I dont want to go back to default, but if I have to, for the shirt, I will. 👉️👈️

Is there any way to go about a ban if Easy Anti-Cheat flags this as hacking? You said that you wouldn't be able to unban the individual, why is that?

Changing in game graphics in any way technically “IS” against the terms of service. So if it flags you and you are banned you don’t really have a leg to stand on to argue or appeal as you did break TOS.
They say “do this at your own risk” and “we don’t actively ban” specifically for the reasoning that “Just because we look the other way when we see it” doesn’t change the fact that it’s still against the TOS.

Gotchu, thank you. I've recently come to find that I was banned for a speed glitch ( I originally believed the reason to be the recolors ). I'm having problems with the ban appeal service, as it's all automated. Any suggestions? Is there a Dev on here that would be able to help?
