Clown giving survivors a crosshair bug

Whenever a survivor is intoxicated sometimes, they are given some sort of little plus sign as a crosshair.
To replicate: Throw Clown bottles at survivors, try hitting them directly and indirectly with the gas (the tonic).
Happens on PC and console.

Why would they give survivors a crosshair though? lol are they going to give survivors guns in the RE chapter?

This is not a bug.
The cross hair is there to prevent motion sickness.
