PS4 Issues
Does anyone know if there are any updates on the PS4/Other Consoles' freezing issue? Are they working on it? Do we have a projected fix release date? I miss playing Killer.

No, nothing.
Almost a week ago there was a banner at the top of the forum saying they are 'actively looking into it' and 'thanks for bringing it to their attention' (lol)
Nothing since then, not even a forum comment; and all the social media is business as normal with no mention of this massive issue affecting thousands of players, just the usual positive promotion you expect from companies during such a catastrophe when they have already got your money.
For me, its not even so much about how long it is taking to fix; but the lack of communication at all. I would feel a lot better if they told us a week ago that a fix would not come until next week or so, than I would if a fix came tomorrow after a week of deafening silence.

I mean, I don't expect them to solve this soon. After all, they didn't even bother to make it so trophies unlocked on a PS4 carry over to an eventual PS5, meaning you'll have to unlock all of them again. And there is not a single chance in hell that I am going to get Evil Incarnate again. Can't expect them to solve this fast, either.

My PS4 issues are constant "no network connection" errors when though there's no issues with my network. Constant "could not connect to RTM server" errors today. Being booted from lobbies for no apparent reason, and the latest today is loading up and the game treats me like a brand new player. I've got over 4 years of purchases and bloodweb acquisitions no longer there. Every option is locked out other than the tutorials.
It's reaching a point of being beyond ridiculous. This is my one of my favorite games ever, yet it's the only one that has ever given me anywhere close to this amount of issues and trouble. There's not even a cost second. If you took all the problems I've ever had with every other game I've ever played and added them together that number would be exponentially less than the problems I've had with DBD in just the last week.

Right now we don't have an update to the message I'm afraid. It's something that's being actively worked on but I can imagine that it's not something easy to implement quick (also I'm not a tech person in that respect).
When we do have something to communicate with regards to the performance issues that have affected players since the last release we will.

I totally get the frustration with that (I want crossprogression as my progress is stuck on PS4), and hopefully they will sort it asap; but these are more serious gameplay affecting issues, just take a look what playing killer is like on a standard base PS4 right now:

Hey Mandy, if the performance issues are still around during the event (which is only 10 days away) could you maybe mention to whoever that it would be good to extend the event to make up for time lost due to the issues? Killers will just need to not crash out of a match but survivors will need to escape on top of dealing with these freezes/crashes. Having anniversary event impacted by performance issues is going to really sour the event.

No need to take a look, I already know. I did play some matches, and I am already quite sick of it. This happens because they don't want to allow PTBs on console, so they don't know the issues they are going to implement. But, honestly, I had yet to see someone being capable of messing up characters that were not touched at all.

I completely understand that! And I will mention it.
We do have a hotfix due out tomorrow, I'm hoping it will resolve some issues at least.

So the whole lagging everytime a killer hit anyone is part of this problem right? not just ppls game freezing. Did have that problem till update.

Actually this problem and the lag are one in the same. You're talking about the frame rate drops and teleporting characters every time a survivor switches directions, dead hards, or speed vaults, yes? The reason I refer to this issue as 'freezing' is because when it happens, my screen stops moving for 1-2 seconds and when it recovers, ive lost the chase.
This is an EXTREME instance of lag that I can only label as freezing.

Edit as I've just read further about that there IS a hotfix tomorrow, which is a really nice surprise and hopefully it might make things a little easier *fingers crossed* Thanks again for the responses though, very much appreciated! <3

I tried to play after the 2.24 update and my system froze. I restarted, and trying to launch DBD made my system shut down. I tried a third time, and it shut my system down again. I've never had anything like this, and I'm able to play every other game I have without any problems. The hotfix literally broke the game entirely for me.
