Anti-camping feature
There should be a anti-camping mechanic which as closer the killer is the survivor the dying speed decreases getting to simply not regress if the killer is face-camping the survivor

Thats kinda dumb, because if the killer face camp it will ruin the survivor experience with the game mostly because there is ranks

I've always thought that if the killer stays around the hook for too long they start losing sound and vision. Making it so they can't see when someone's about to be unhooked. But again the devs have said that camping is a valid strategy and they don't want to discourage it for some reason.

I've seen two people say they tested an anti camping mechanic and it was abused, but what was the mechanic? It seems absurd that they would go "We tried this one way and it was abused so there can never be an anti-camping mechanic ever"

I think it's less about forgetting but that there are players who simply weren't playing the game at that point, so they're not aware of what's been tested in the past.

True. I Suppose i usually just assume forum users are longtime players. Considering how long ago that test was makes me feel old.

I don't care about ranks, it just makes things more stressful than they have to be.

It was tried, didn't work. Camping is a legitimate strategy specially in end game or when you see multiple survivors around the hook doing nothing.
