afk pig is not that big of a deal

yes it is, its boring

so forcing yourself to die is fun? atleast cross off players have a brain and we popped all gens at once and we 4 outed

so why you complainging you know the strat on how to counter it?

Someone posted the kill statistics of AFK Pig; it's not good strategy and certainly not bannable.

the devs should fix this filth, banning players for some vague banding of the rules is scummy.

I'd rather them just fix the boxes which have always been an issue for pig instead of just banning people.
As banning people for doing it is just trying to hide the issue instead of addressing it.

n
Oh no, somebody wasted an ultra rare addon just to completley throw the match, what a tragedy.
2 -
n
Just change the addon so doing this strat isn't possible anymore
there's plenty of solutions that don't involve doing anything other than tweaking like one value

AFK killers and 'Derankers' have been a thing forever.
the entire Pig part of the modicum where they're burning powerful addons just so that they can mismanage the match is a THEM problem.
If You hate killers sitting around for a few gens or an entire game, and can't stomach it, you're the one who needs to touch some grass.

It's not an exploit, it's just really bad game design. It's not that big of a deal.

No to bannable, just fix game design so it's not possible. Like if pig is hanging out by box for certain amount of time while not in chase any activated traps are deactivated.

No, but do makes changes so it's not a thing. Not a single person on the planet should be surprised if it's considered undesirable gameplay to an extent where it's removed from the game.
But people shouldn't get banned for it.

skill issue

considering that the Pig is literally AFKing in this scenario, its probaply already bannable.

It's not exactly what i would call great for gameplay, but banning people for doing is a massive overreaction. It's not even a real reliable strategy, at best you kill one person and then have to deal with endgame where you're most likely about to watch three survivors do wind sprints out the door.

How big is the problem? How likely are players to do this ? We need to know this first.

you lose addons, offerings, and time

Things you've committed to losing, are meant to be lost eventually, and don't rise to the occasion of outright banning someone.
The barrier to getting banned in this game is pretty high, that is just the facts. In terms of gameplay the things that will get you banned aren't going to be cheesy low effort strats that ultimately don't stop the game from progressing. Banning afk pig would be like banning camping Bubba, banning back rev Billy, banning pinky finger clown. One of the few things used to get people banned gameplay wise was old hostage Doc and it wasn't even because of the addon/perk combination itself or that he made it really hard to do gens. The difficulty to doing gens was intentional design, but when players stopped actively using that setup to get kills to finish the game that is when it rose to being bannable.
It was because people stopped the game in its track. Pig is the exact opposite, she can't even remotely prevent the game from ending and the entire point is to get at least one kill even if it costs them the rest of the game. You can not simply ban someone for this sort of play.

"i think it is boring so make it bannable" it's literally the same as asking devs to permaban people for facecamping
grow up and deal with it. if it's in the game and is not an intentional bug abuse, then people should not be banned for it, not even temporarily
not to mention afk pigs appear like once in a blue moon

Just make pig lose collision while in front of the box, problem solved

Those statistics only apply to guaranteed kills. You're going to know within the first couple minutes whether or not the survivors are able to get out of their hats. If they all escape from the head traps, you can still camp 1 survivor to death and get a second kill with noed. But if you can even kill 1 survivor , the game becomes a 1vs3 and that's very likely to be a 3 or 4k.
That means this strategy is probably pigs strongest strategy to consistently get kills as you should be able to get a minimum of 2 kills per match and a very high chance of getting 3 or 4k's even with good groups

it doesn't really matter
You have about 31.36% chance of no kills, 42.19% for 1 kill 21.10% for 2 kills 4.69% for 3 kills and 0.396% for 4 kills from the RBTs.
If the survivors are good. At most you will get an additional +1 with NOED. Not really good odds.

It's by far her weakest strategy as it requires the use of an iri add-on and endgame specific perk build to even do effectively. Even if it was her best strategy it still doesn't rise to the level of a bannable offense as the game progresses normally and nothing has been exploited in a way that actively breaks the terms of service of the game. You may not like it, but let's not give it too much credit as if it's absolutely wrecking the the game.

I don't think this is something that should be bannable.
I do personally think though that this "strategy" should not be a thing.

they're using an irri and rolling the dice to get a kill that happens extraordinarily rarely. It's not the brightest strategy, it won't happen often and you should just be interested in getting a unique experience. I've seen LOTS of pigs due to the latest rift and NEVER seen this happen. If a killer does something campy i just shrug it off knowing they aren't going to get many kills unless someone pulls a stoop.

Its frustrating as a survivor, hilarious as a killer, but overall just a waste of everyone's time. maybe not bannable, but definitely worth some sort of punishment for repeat offenders

All they'd have to do to prevent this is to create a very gentle, gradual 'bump' for the pig that gently pushes her away from the front of the box while stationary - perhaps it could grow stronger with time so that if she tries to body block for an extended period, it may become virtually impossible for her to draw nearer - like an invisible wall.
If a pig remains in front of the box for more than 5 seconds, invisible telemetry specific to the killer radiates forward and out slowly.
To the killer, it looks like their character is gently walking forward without the ability to turn back. The telemetry slowly retreats while the killer is away, but can create an invisible wall of immunity around the boxes in time. Letting survivors interact with boxes without worry - but only if the pig insists upon body blocking the box for an extended period of time.
~
Or the Entity can simply block the box (Like a gen) if a pig stays in front of it for too long. Any player that searched the other boxes will have their trap instantly removed.
