Question about Ghostface changes
Will his detection system be receiving any tweaks or changes?
It's one of the most frustrating mechanics when facing him and I think most people would agree it doesn't seem to work properly

Seems the only change to detection is that the marked survivor can no longer reveal him.
Which is nice since it helps prevent getting broken out before you get the hit in for the deviousness score. But not really going to change much about how you play Ghostface.

I was hoping with his update they'd do something to make revealing him on the survivor side less of an inconsistant mess
I'm hoping they have and it's just not written down, hence why I made this thread

Yeah I was going to say the same. Revealing him after he's marked you is pointless since it doesn't help you. So I guess they did this strictly for the points.

Honestly stretch res being gutted, marked targets being unable to reveal and new addons to help recover night shroud. It might not matter.

It does matter from a survivor perspective
That's why I made this thread, ghost face's counterplay is revealing him but the reveal mechanic doesn't work properly, or at best it's inconsistant

Well there's a dev post in one of the topics saying it's not the full change list. Granted it's probably more about the rest of the addon changes than anything else.
At least with what has been revealed I'm glad they didn't do anything too drastic, but it feels really safe overall. Like 15 extra marked duration and the marked survivor not revealing you are nice additions, but you should be downing your marks around the time you mark them and not chasing them anyways. Both addon reveals are better than what we currently have and do make me hopeful the addon update is good.

There are some slight tweaks, but they're mostly bug fixes and not super noteworthy. For example, right now, two people cannot reveal Ghost Face at the same time. i.e. If someone else starts revealing him, you cannot start revealing him until they stop. This is being fixed along with a few other bugs, which may contribute to it feeling inconsistent, but it's not a major overhaul or anything.

No, I don't think so
I've had many instances of being behind Ghostface while he's trying to stalk (With him DIRECTLY in the center of my screen) and nothing happened. Sometimes the game would snap itself awake for a second and play the detection sound que but then it'd cancel it despite me standing perfectly still with my camera on him
It's either inconsistant or broken. I'm not sure which

So many GF reveal complaints are caused by players not understanding the mechanics. Just seeing part of him won't do it if he's hiding correctly.
The other day I was running Tinkerer with GF for a challenge and survivors kept trying to break me out of Tinkerer's stealth. I'm sure they were like "THIS IS SO BROKEN!"

I'm just here wondering if any exposed effect works, or if only marked survivors can't reveal you.
edit: my bad, I read a summary that only said "exposed survivors" but the actual page specifically mentions marked survivors

the clunkyness is why ghostface is my least favorite killer to play as AND against.

I guess they never even knew that people were complaining about his reveal mechanic. Otherwise you cannot explain the absence of changes to his mechanic. Guess we will still have to faceslap him for a reveal.

I just wanna know if he's getting new chase music, Legion's is so good I'm hyped to see if GF is getting some too.
