Post PTB ghostface changes from a GF main
Thanks for addressing the stalk range bug, it definitely was pretty major. Can we have insight on what other bugs were taken care of?
The stalk zone changes (where the stalk circle now extends to the top and bottom of the killer's screen) seemed to be intended according to the PTB patch notes, but bear in mind that this is actually a detrimental change for higher level ghostface players and prohibits the use of higher level strats which make use of the edge of the stalk zone, so this must be reverted in my opinion.
In addition, the majority of the community feels that the chase music can be grating and I have to agree.

I second this, the stalk zone was better off being what it was pre-PTB, changing it this way definitely doesn't help ghostie

Any other bug fixes/changes will be listed on the patch notes. We generally do not give all the information on the blogposts.

I understand, just wanted to address this since the stalk zone change seemed to be intended and wasn't sure if BHVR knew that most high level GF players would be averse to it

I agree with rororoxor and believe that the stalk zone is a detriment to high level ghostface players.
The new music should be changed also. The distant music is great, just that the chase music seems a little too repetitive.

How is stalking without stalking a good thing? I can't really think of any reason to stalk a survivor without exposing them.
I probably have 10 hours on ghostface since i bought him on launch so i am very much a noob with him.
Not saying reverting it is a problem, just curious is all.

Stalking from the edges of the screen prevents you from accidentally marking people you've 99'd for later when you're observing areas of the map. Leaning helps you stay hidden while this recon is taking place. It's a common trick used by higher level GF players.

It lets you watch areas/stalk someone without accidentally marking someone else nearby who is already 99.

The "watch areas" part just screams camping strats but i can see the value from the other part.

Not always, sometimes youre following someone from afar that you've already 99'd and you're waiting for them to run into a less safe area. Definitely don't want to mess that up by stalking someone who may appear, or accidentally marking them. You don't move that quickly as GF so sometimes its a better idea to patrol a smaller area, or patrol areas from a distance.

While his detection needed some QoL, it's ultimately become a hard nerf. Kinda negates a lot of his buffs. He's so easy to break out now.
He really needed more buffs.
