Favorite announcement from the stream?

bots for sure , bots on PTBs are gonna be good (not having to wait 1 hour for getting a single game).

Now the bots are gonna be customizable? like choosing if i want to face specific killer or survivors bots.

New prestige. It sounds fantastic - perfect way to address the grind and a solid way to move forward. It's really close, though; there was a ton of exciting and promising stuff dropped yesterday. Mechanical changes in order to be able to shake up the meta? DBD dating sim? You glorious madlads.

Seconding how nice it was to hear a timeline for planned releases. Really feels like they took feedback from the 5th anniversary stream into account, and going out on a limb to provide more transparency was super appreciated.

A lot to like here, but the prestige rework and bot practice mode were highlights for me. I may yet end up using Billy, Blight, and Nurse if I don't have to eat dirt in live play to learn them.

The perk/meta overhaul is really tantalizing as well, though I am tempering my optimism until I see what the changes actually are.

I am pretty sure that is just the announcement of the next chapter. The one with Wesker. Because, you know, W.

Oh wait. You are right. They were talking about a RE chapter Remake because someone can’t accept that their opinion might not be the one and only truth.

I must be the only one who doesn't want a second RE chapter.

First, it creates too great an inequality of treatment between licenses. We will have 4 survivors (6 with skins), 2 killers and 2 RE maps. While some licenses don't even have a survivor (Scream, Hellraiser) or a killer (Left 4 Dead) or a map (Scream, Left 4 Dead, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Hellraiser, Ringu). Some original chapters also don't have a map (Blight, Twins, Trickster).

And secondly, you won't take away the impression from me that such a rapid choice of renewal (one year) is only a short-term marketing strategy to reproduce the explosion of players from the first chapter. It will work for a month, then the same story will happen again. All the players who came for RE will leave again. You don't fix a game with such questionable short-term solutions. It's just keeping the game under artificial respiration by playing on people's fanboyism. If we add to that the unfulfilled promises (still nothing on the improvement of the HUD for SoloQ, even no enunciation in the stream, nice), hard to believe in an improvement of the game in the long term.

Another chapter, original or licensed, wouldn't have bothered me. In the case of RE, we already have one. So I know the RE fanbase has its...reputation, to be polite, but it's a loss of quality when BHVR prefers the easy choice over anything else. Instead of tackling a new yet untapped license or working on maps for previous incomplete chapters, we are left with the same old thing just right to satisfy a fan base that is content with little.

That doesn’t really make any sense. You also really can’t generalize the RE fanbase as RE is one of the biggest horror videogame franchises and has a pretty diverse fanbase.. just say you don’t like RE and would have preferred something else but don’t try to justify it by making up stuff.

You don’t understand that this is not solely up to BHVR it seems. It depends heavily on the license holder and what they actually are willing to let BHVR do with their license. Stranger Things not being renewed is very likely mostly on Netflix, NOES having the remake version and not getting anything more is diente the license holder being very restrictive, Valve/whoever owns L4D are apparently not willing to get monetary gain from this licensing this Bill -and the rift outfit- being free and there is not a paid chapter.

Well, people like you that are only complaining (instead of giving constructive criticism) are still here and supporting the game as well.

you said that BHVR doesn’t properly know how to negotiate the use of a license but you don’t have any basis for this statement whatsoever and you are completely ignoring the fact that with these negotiations two sides are involved and BHVR has shown to bring in good licensed stuff and even renewing their existing licenses (except one) and even getting new content for almost all of them.

Sorry. But no. You have exactly zero proof for this statement and you are just making destructive accusations against BHVR based on your assumptions and nothing more. You were not part of the negotiations, you haven’t seen anything of the contracts etc.
