Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Why in the world would you kill switch the incentives bonus?

The new update is terrible in terms of grind, it's even been acknowledged by the devs and no attemps has been made to fix it. A potential additional 8k per game does not make up for a guaranteed 30k loss per game. We're already waiting for an actual attempt to fix the add-on economy and now the incentives are kill switched?

Is it that hard to either let it bugged because at the end of the day, it's still bonus BPS that at least almost kinda counterract the terrible-ness of the new grind, or make it 100% for both for the time it's being worked on?

knowing it often takes months for minor bugs to be fixed I'd rather not spend those months with no bonus whatsoever. It's already a terrible idea to consider these bonus as an excuse to have butchered the add-on economy. It's supposed to give BONUS bloodpoints. It's not supposed to kinda make up for the BBQ/WGLF loss, meaning we gain basically nothing if we don't have it.

Mandy explained the reason why it's been killswitched in another post:

The issue was the impact on the matchmaking times, not the BP bonus.

It was also explained in the Status Report shared via Twitter:

The Kill Switch is there for bugs that are game breaking - it's kind of a final option. It's got nothing to do with balance issues etc, and things like that should never be kill switched, but addressed in our normal manner.

Queue times whilst the matchmaking incentive was working incorrectly was causing many players to wait 10 plus minutes for a match - it had a massive effect, which we can see exactly from our data. Hence we kill switched the feature until it's properly fixed.

Applying 100% bonus all the time was definitely not intended, and that naturally increased the queue times substantially for those in those areas. The Matchmaking Incentive will return, and it will be there in varying percentages for those areas that need it - some players might not see it at all, depending on region and MMR - because it will be there for the side that needs it at that particular time.
