Can I please have a refund?
I really enjoyed playing this game before but it changed a lot ever since the big update and now it feels virtually impossible to win unless the killer is afk or something.
I spent a lot of money on the game because I really really liked it but I'd like to know since I can't play it anymore can I please have the money back?
Thank you

No.
The patch barely changed anything but punished bad and inefficient survivors.
People cried the game should be balanced around casuals, well it is. They just included the killer this time.
My advice, learn what is making the game so hard for you so you can improve on it. If you only play to win then you should definitely be pushing to improve... or just play killer if it's so easy and fun for them and you can still enjoy the game

No
You agreed to their terms that they are allowed to make changes to the game when you bought it

Read the EULA, it will answer your question (spoiler: the answer is no)

As people mentioned before, the moment you agreed to the EULA, you agreed to all the changes the game received and will receive:
Moreover, if you want a refund, you need to ask your platform for one and they usually have limitations regarding playtime and when you bought the game.

You're generally not allowed refunds if you spent more than a small amount of time playing the game.

Personally, my escape rate on survivor hasn't changed much, is it harder? sure, but not impossible.
It's not like you physically can't play it, it seems like you just aren't enjoying it because you are losing.
Perhaps try practicing, it will still suck while you are getting better. But maybe you will have more fun if you get better? :)

If you enjoyed the time prior to this patch, then asking for a refund is unreasonable anyway. You got your money’s worth already.

I got the game when I was sick so I did nothing but stay home and play the game for about a month straight, so don't know if I'm a casual player just a new one. I got up to iridescent rank 1 and was so happy.
Now it just feels pointless, because about 5 or 10% of matches are the only ones where I stand a chance. Generators are longer apparently now so its less fun as well.
I played killer but it's just not the role I like. I prefer survivor for the hiding and stealth aspect, that's the number one thing I liked about the survivor role. I don't play to win, I played for the fun of escaping killer chases, hiding and saving other survivors in teamwork. But there's none of that now.
I think it's a real shame because I probably would have really liked this game and community, but everyone seems very hostile and not welcoming to new players at all. I literally don't know anyone else who is playing this game anymore because of the update and it just seems like there's a huge disconnect between the hardcore player base and real players in actual scenarios and situations. Maybe you just don't hear from those players because you don't let them in?
In any case, I'm pretty unhappy about this. I spent a lot of money on something which I essentially can't play anymore. Maybe I'll reinstall if they fix some stuff but I guess that's it for me. Seeya

Why are you asking us? We aren't customer support. Submit a ticket and ask them. We can't do anything related to your account.

Sure you can get a refund.
I believe Steams policy regarding refunds is having less than two ingame hours, so if this applies to you, feel free to contact Steam and get your money back.
If you're on a different plattform though, you'll have to check for and abide by their refund policies, which may differ from Steams.

Sorry not sure how it works

If getting iri 1 is enough to make you happy then you definitely are casual, lol.

It takes a lot of practice to become knowledgeable about the new changes with the survivor side and the killer side of this game that are constantly happening. Learning the new maps, the new perks that come out and their occasional changes, the new killer powers... all of it is part of the experience. Also, escaping does not mean winning, you can still die and gain a lot of bloodpoints because you were helpful to your team. Who cares if the killer hits you and hooks you a couple times, that gets you more points for interacting with the killer and gives you more practice on how to engage in chases for longer. I've accepted a long time ago that the majority of DBD killers are better than me and I'm always expecting to die every time lol but it's not stopping me from trying to have fun. It is hard sometimes but once you practice more and become more confident in your gameplay, and accept that some players are just more skilled than you, you're sure to have a lot more fun!

Where is your proof though? The only statistics which were ever released show that kill rates for almost every single killer were greater than 50%, and that the map favouring killers favoured them by over 60% whereas the map favouring survivors the most favoured them by just 50.72%. These were released Dec-January (7 months ago)
I want a refund this is not fair at all. If this was what it was like before the update no wonder it is torture now

Damn dude you are spitting straight fire.

Dead by Daylight is a Live game, our EULA clearly states that changes can and will be made at any time, and you agree to that when you first play the game.
As for refunds, we do not give refunds to players due to game changes. You are free to contact the platform where you purchased the game from and discuss their refund policy with them - for example Steam refund policy is less than 2 hours played within 14 days of purchase....these are the times that they will grant a refund.

You are a new player then so you have loads to learn and the game is known to be difficult for new players but as you get better the survivor role becomes the stronger one.
Like I said though you can learn and keep trying, play killer as everyone claims it's easy or the game isnt for you long term. And if I sound hostile its because I'm just fed up with people moaning and wanting nerfs because they dont want to put in time to improve or accept they arent that great at it.
Because stats dont show anything, if we go off them then nurse needs a buff? And it's quite obvious that the map with 50% is still a very survivor sided map if you understand the game, no one with good knowledge of the game will say cowshed is a balanced map.
Well I'm not wrong, been told too many times the games balanced for casuals so BHVR finally included killer casuals too

Hi DBD,
If this person is getting a refund i want one too.
The patch is utterly terrible, might as well turn it into a call of duty style game and the killers can just fight each other.
Clearly survivors are not meant to enjoy it.

You're not wrong about it being a very hostile community
Just a heads up this policy is pretty much the same for almost all games.
Refunds cause they changed stuff in games is something that very rarely happens

They definitely aren't getting a refund. The moment you went into the game, you agreed to the EULA.
It's a live service game. The devs can make any change they want, and the players technically have no say in what they do. Doesn't mean at all that players suddenly get a refund.

The game is finally a surviving game for survivors, and they cry because the "survs bullying the killer" is finaly dealed with, at least at some points.
The changes just balanced the game, you are not a killer main, you surely can't understand our suffering for years, the never ending chases because of DH, just, horrible.
The game is harder for survs, it is true, but for us, killers, it's a light of hope, for us who want to play for fun and not competition and ranks, we finally have some fun.
Worst is, there is a lot of changes needed, the balancing of the maps and the SWF, but, it's a start.
