Soooo...how am I supposed to report someone now if their name's hidden?
Surely the devs have a workaround for this don't they? Did the reporting system change or you still have to get their ID in order for them to do something?

Shouldn't you still be able to see they're in game name at the end game screen?

Nope. I wasn't able to see their profile. "Block" was the only option I got.

I was wondering the same thing. But better give hackers anonymous mode, right?

So people can turn on that mode and then just spam racial slurs in post game chat and you can't report them? GG BHVR.

Tbf it’s possible that it was an issue on my end so hopefully someone can clarify..

If I see a survivor with a high prestige level and a hidden name I simply dodge, most of the time they're a cheater/hacker anyway.

Not me personally, but a streamer I regularly watch was unable to access profiles of those in streamer mode

Ok then I guess that’s intentional. Good job bhvr.

You can still report them with the same procedure.
As long as you reported in game flagging the match, Support can access the information needed to take action on the user, so when you open the ticket you don't have to give the SteamID64 and profile link.

Thanks for responding. The reason I’m worried is that the devs have said it themselves that in game reports do nothing unless you submit a ticket so I need video evidence, but if the video has no way of identifying the player in question it wouldn’t really help much I guess? Does that mean support has logs for every match so they know for example, if a player was moving faster than the game would allow?

You will be able to create the ticket the same way as you always have done, nothing has changed. The only thing that has changed is that you won't be able to put the Steam 64ID/Name onto the report form, but we tie that up on our end.

And in-game reports do work - it's just that evidence is required for things like cheating. For chat offences, only an in-game report is required, no further evidence.

Does this mean we can report epic games store cheaters properly now also? It felt impossible to do so as a Steam player last patch due to not being able to see a profile, their ID or their name

Is there some kind of notification or feedback that tells you if someone you reported actually got banned?
0 -
The in-game reports are mandatory for any kind of offense, they are not enough for things like hacking or griefing as you need to open a ticket and give video proof, but for things like verbal abuse, it's only necessary to report in game.
That said, when you want to report someone you need to report in game then go to the Support website (https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/categories/6713776396180-Dead-by-Daylight), use the chat function you find at the bottom of the page and follow the instructions given to open your ticket.
Just to clarify this last point: you won't receive a confirmation if action has been taken or not on the profile you reported, but I can assure you the reports are taken very seriously by the Support team.

That was also gifted to them when this game went for free on Epic last year.
