Thank you all, I was just told that I was hit by a drunk driver, and he got arrested. The drunk driver had no injuries as well which angers me. All I did that day was buy something for my mother as it was her birthday in a few days, please everybody, remember to drive safely. My surgery is 2 hours, again thank you all. :)

SIX cats?!?!?!?
Holy smokes, I've been waffling back and forth for weeks as I've considered whether I should get ONE more cat (less for me and more for Holly as things I keep reading say that cats do better with a companion, especially if you're someone like me who has a 8-5 kind of job so is gone for half the day), let alone six of them :D

You got this.
Looking forward to your report when you get back!

lol I know, it wasn't intentional. I had A cat. ONE. And I felt bad that she was alone when I was at work, so I got her a friend (my best boy, who looks like Holly). I took them to the vet and asked him when I should schedule them to be neutered. I wanted them to develop as normally as possible until neutering them (essentially, cutting off their hormones). The vet said, "Don't worry. They're both too young for there to be a pregnancy. Even if he tried, and was somehow successful, her uterus isn't developed enough." She got pregnant a week later. And while she was pregnant, a stray cat came to my work in the middle of a blizzard. He was almost dead. I took him in, got him help, (it took a month to get him well), and couldn't find him a home. So I ended up with a house full of cats when all I wanted was 1, 2 max lol. But it's worked out lol I'm used to it now. I won't ever have this amount again, but I love all of my little fluff balls and try to just enjoy the fact that I get to have them.
EDIT:
And luckily, my house is a tri-level so they like to hang out in different areas. Sometimes, I have to look for them to find them. You could walk into my house and not see a single cat for hours. And other times, they're all sprawled out on the couches and I can't sit down . . . I'm on the floor when that happens lol

4 years ago I got struck by a car and fractured my leg so I can completely understand what you're going through. There might be some dark days but hang in there!

Whoopsy! 🤣
I'm telling myself I'm not going to do it but I'm almost certainly going to break down sooner or later and get a second cat. I keep checking the adoption page where I got Holly but most of the animals on there are either brand new kittens or the odd older cat and my ideal would be to get a cat around Holly's age (2-3ish years old).
Once another cat with that age range shows up or if I find a different place to adopt at with a cat around then, I'll probably break down and get a second cat. Holly seems very content with being a single kitty but I do worry about her being lonely, especially since when I do WFH (M, Th, and F), she often goes after me and my feet trying to get me to pay attention to her and play with her. Which makes me wonder if that means she would want a playmate...
Or more likely a partner in crime that would ALSO attack my feet when I'm trying to work...

hahaha
Has Holly ever played with other cats before (since being a kitten, I mean)? Usually, female cats do better with male cats and vice versa. When you do finally break down, update with some photos, please :)

I was lucky to have some amazing nurses when I got surgery as a kid. They didn't know that foamy bright red blood is from arteries (so they didn't know they actually punctured my artery), and they were fighting over which color my butterfly needle should be.
1 -
To my knowledge, she has not, which is the only reason I'm concerned about a second
She was a stray when I got her from the rescue so she lived her entire life (until now) on the street. So I have no idea how she'd do with another cat. She was in the adoption place with 5 kittens but they were her kittens so I'm not sure that really counts as her being fine with other cats...

All the best to you Spirit_isthebest, and sending you all the positive and speedy recovery energy!
May this cute little lady in her Halloween finest help alleviate some of the nervousness <3

All of mine were strays or barn cats, so I understand! It might not be possible, but maybe the shelter will consent to you temporarily taking a cat to see if it and Holly would be compatible. At my work old place, two outdoor cats had litters at the same time. When the kittens were old enough, I took a couple home to play with my cat (also a kitten, but older), to see how they'd get along. Some of them did not like her because she was so eager to play and bigger. But my boy Milo liked her (and she liked him). So she picked him lol The one I had originally wanted to keep did not like her lol, so if I had just simply brought him home, it would've been a disaster. But there are also tricks you can try to properly introduce adult cats. I've had to do that with some strays I've taken care of. There are lots of resources online with helpful tips. Good luck to you, Holly, and your future fur baby!

Good luck and have a fast recovery. I hope when you get back here BHVR decides to release a new Spirit skin (that's affordable).

I'm back guys, turns out I had broken my Femur bone in half, and fractured my Kneecap and my Tibia bone, all happened on my left leg. The surgery took 4 and a half hours, I recovered quite quickly, but I won't be able to go home for more than a month, so I will not be able to play DBD for a long time. I have lots of therapy to do, as of now I am stuck in a wheelchair. I did read all the comments from you all, and it made me cry a bit, just want to thank you all for your support. I am beyond grateful. The surgery also went well, felt like it happened in a blink of an eye.
The person who hit me Head On has escaped with no injuries and has been arrested. For drunk driving too. A court session will take place when I am able to properly walk again, so he is stuck in jail/prison until so. I will stay active on the forums and give you all updates on my situation. :)

I really hope Spirit gets 6000 new skins every patch like Feng Does.

What kind of skin would you like her to get?

One that I really want in game is her Hooked on You cosmetic. I really hope that they add that one along with Huntress and Wraith and Trapper.

Glad to hear you made it through the surgery without incident.
I wish you lots of luck in the future.

I'm so sorry to hear what happened... but don't worry, you'll be asleep so you'll be perfectly fine and have sweet dreams. I was scared too when I was getting my wisdom teeth cut out but I thought afterwards, "Pffff what was I scared of?" All I got to do was eat ramen and ice cream afterwards for about a week, sleep all day, and watch YouTube in bed!
P.S. Hopefully your nurse's name isn't Sally 😜 Kidding~ Have a blessed recovery!💖

It's good to see you in good spirit (heh). Hang in there and keep it up, rehab always takes way longer then you would want, but your own motivation is one of the biggest factors, doctors and therpeuts can help you along the way, but you must get there on your own.

That crossed my mind as well.

Get well soon don't get much better than that 😍
