Hi this is still happening, I’ve deleted and reinstalled the game nothing works. Please get this fixed for the sake of everyone on ps4 please.

Has anyone actually received help and is able to play? A few pages back, Mandy said to contact customer support directly to receive help on an account level because a larger scale fix would only come with the next update. I submitted my ticket Thursday, received a reply Friday saying they were investigating the matter, if they needed any further info they would contact me again, and they would help me soon. It's Sunday now and still nothing. I feel like their "contact support directly" was just a ruse to make it seem like they're helping people when actually we all just have to wait for the update. It gets people off the forum to individual customer support where they can wait indefinitely and makes it seem like they're doing something.

My name is RandoDarcy. When I try my account I get the loading error. But when I do it on another account on the same ps4 it works fine. Please hurry with this error. The community is loosing out on so much right now. With no reward for it.

Spot on, it’s happening to too many people, they’re not willing to do a hotfix bc pc players are more important to them and they know customer support isn’t helping the majority if any of us. They just don’t care.

Like I understand why they couldn't fix it super fast. Any update to a game has to go through a Sony/Playstation authorization. But like, they could have just said that. "Hey everyone, we understand there is a problem and have a fix ready. Unfortunately due to the way we update games on PS4, we have to wait a few days to get a patch through. You can expect an update on XX/XX to fix the issue." Having bad news is better than no news at all.

I know I speak for all the PS4 users who haven't bought the game and are using the PS plus subscription to play dbd is feeling very much aggravated bc our money is going to waste knowing we can't play bc of this issue please someone get this fixed soon 😭 PS id is lil_beast576

Fr bro. Im so pissed. Seeing clips of people having a blast of a time, friends playing Cage, and people like us just gotta sit and wait for devs who don’t communicate to fix it. This sucks dawg.

Just wanted to add I also have this issue with the PS4 version. PS5 version works fine using the same account. I did notice something strange, I tried streaming the game through PS Plus and the intro for the Knight chapter played, but it clearly shows the 7.1.0 update on the main screen. When I try launching the installed version there is no intro at all it just goes to the main screen and gets stuck.
Maybe there was an issue with the PS4 update thats caused this?

Support does nothing. They give us a canned response, stop putting people on a wild goose chase or actually do what you said you would, and give the personal fix.

I played last night on PS4. If it freezes at Initialization refresh the game. If it freezes after initialization loads let it sit there for a little while. The screen freezes because it’s trying to load Nick Cage’s cutscene. You’ll eventually hear Nick Cage talking, and then the game will start like normal.

My friend is on PS4 and he plays just fine. I’n pretty sure at this point seeing that some people can and some cant, it’s merely account based.

I can confirm that on my PS4 Pro, it is working after the update. For me, it went from the screen with the Trapper where it shows all the developers and then immediately goes to the screen showing the version where you have to hit X to continue. It then loads the Nick Cage video and you then have to be a little patient. I got a little worried at first, but it did go into the game. @ScorpseClown I had also wondered if it might be today as the bug fix patches after the last chapter were the following Tuesdays. So glad it worked out! Very disappointed with the process used here for moderators not to provide help and to send us to Support who couldn't just say we are working on a fix that we hope will be out by August 1st. Instead, Support was no help at all and didn't even try to resolve the issue for users. To be fair, the moderators are just a frontline and I don't blame them, but support was a joke with this issue.
Patiently waiting to see how our week of struggle and without the game becomes balanced by BHVR. I personally would prefer something more than Bloodpoints because those are easy enough to come by now. While it's not likely that we would get auric cells, something along the lines of giving us free premium track in the rift, awarding us x many levels in the current rift or providing enough rift fragments to unlock said levels, or providing shards to use in the store. Those are my ideas.
