Another Non-Freddy-Update
Patch 8.0.1 goes live today and - as expected - its more or less "just" a Bugfix-Patch with nothing interesting in it.
Lets keep up the hope for the Midchapter, even if its absolutely minimal.

It's a bug fix update. Freddy will obviously get his changes in a midchapter or chapter PTB.

I don't really know what gave you the idea that this was going to be anything other than a bug fix patch, but things like that happen in PTBs and/or midchapter patches, as they always have.

I know that, but in the near past BHVR has also used BF-Patches to adress some killers. I also knew that the chance for success for Freddy this time was absolutely minimal.

To echo what others have said, please do not get your hopes up for any surprises in a bugfix patch. The main purpose of these updates is to fix bugs. Any balance changes in them tend to be minor fine tuning for things that were recently updated.
If Freddy was to get an update, you can rest assured that it would go to the PTB first, not appear in a bugfix patch as a surprise.

is the survivor in cage of atonement misalignment unknown and/or am i the only one experienced it??? every time i've been caged i've been floating in a random rotation next to the cage since 8.0 (and possibly before; can't remember)

It would be stupid halarius if Freddy get changes in a bug fix patch. Hey, that houls be an April Fool event for next year xD. "Bug Fix patch 8.x.x: - We have buffed (enter number of killers here) and only playable in the April Fools event, have fun!)
