We would need video of the match for this particular bug report as there's no other repro of it not working as intended.

Could you please attach the logs?

    To find them:

    1. Press the Windows Key + R to open the "Run" command.
    2. In the text box paste the following: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\DeadByDaylight\Saved\Logs
    3. Click "OK" - this will open your Dead by Daylight Logs folder.
      • If it does not open the Dead by Daylight Logs folder, it may mean that when installing Dead by Daylight you chose to save your files somewhere else and will need to check there.
    4. The file called "DeadByDaylight.log" is your log file

    Thank you.

It's worth noting that DMS does not have a limited activation window after someone gets hooked. The only requirement is that a hook has to happen first. Then, any survivor working on a generator and letting go of that generator will trigger DMS on that gen.

Maybe, in your example, nobody had let go of a gen yet so DMS was still ready to activate, and it did when you let go to prevent a scream from Pain Resonance.

@MarbleThrone Unfortunately, I just had a game where DMS activated before anyone even went down. Actually annoying

That could have been Corrupt Intervention, which blocks the 3 furthest generators from the Killer for 2 minutes at the start of the match, or until someone goes down.

There is also Thrilling Tremors, which is a perk that blocks any generator not being worked on as soon as the Killer picks up a Survivor. The effect lingers until the Survivor is hooked.
