if you hit devotion 10, you should get a piece of legacy
I just think it's crazy that they refuse to bring legacy back?
"we had to grind for our legacy"
i think level 1000 is fair for a piece of legacy. Do they have any idea how happy it would make the community? even if console cant have it it doesnt make sense to exclude EVERYONE because of that.
"it should stay special"
its been special for 2 years :/ let some other people who grind equally as much have their time too.
it's time to bring legacy back! make devotion matter! reward us for playing your game!
~~~~~~
EDIT: id settle for some kind of special cosmetic you can only get from leveling up, while id prefer legacy, we just need SOMETHING
I think its a good idea. But should be for the new Survivor like feng kate, for the old better dont do anything because its unfair
3 -
No, if they did that people who have it would stop feeling special.
9 -
Yes, devotion 10 -> 5th perk slot
I know where you're coming from but no, those who have legacy should keep legacy exculsive to themselves. Anybody still playing since legacy deserve to keep their exclusive; I am in favor of devotion rewards, however I dont think giving Legacy is the right way about it.
6 -
No legacy, no extra perk slots. You people have to learn that "no" means "no".
11 -
so you believe it is a big no-no rewarding 10k hours of playing as satisfied customers?
2 -
legacy players whine so much about grinding like... i have 7 p3 characters and 2k hours on the game. I KNOW GRINDING OKAY. just because i started playing the game later doesnt mean i dont equally deserve to be rewarded for doing the same exact thing survivors did 2 years ago :/
I agree with having a cosmetic reward for Devotion levels, but not a Legacy item reward.
Legacy is not coming back - it's been said a million times before, it was a one off reward made before the blood web changes.
9 -
Do you really like how legacy looks like? I am probably the only one not liking it.
0 -
do you agree with an extra 5th perk reward?
as you guys know, the main issue for me is having just 4 slots
0 -
I can only speak on a personal level, but for me - no, I don't think it's necessary and I can see it causing more issues with balance in the game @BACKSTABBER
I like rewards for Devotion - but it should not be a reward that changes game style, hence I like the cosmetic rewards.
7 -
The developers have confirmed over and over again that Legacy WON'T be coming back.
3 -
i know, im saying it SHOULD, i think it was a dumb decision.
I believe it's a big no-no to go back on your word as developers and essentially ######### on the dedication of your oldest players just because the newbies can't take "no" for an answer.
Not with something as powerful as a fifth perk slot, should it be rewarded sure, but it shouldn't influence gameplay.
Just because you grinded the same doesnt mean you should get legacy, as the grind doesnt reflect time played, those with legacy were there from the very beggining, from year1, say in 5 years time somebody had been playing for 3 years, why should they be allowed to egt legacy over the person who has been playing for 7 years?
1 -
He only said no rereleasing of Legacy cosmetics and no fifth perk slot. Then emphasized the word no’s meaning on a thread requesting the original legacy outfits
A reward for devotion should happen, but I think it should be unique, and not be something that breaks the balance of the game like a special 5th perk slot for people.
- Maybe you can raise the tier of a perk for a characters
- make a “legacy” cosmetics for the survivors and killers that don’t have them
- you could get a free cosmetic from the shop
- Unlock an alternate hair color for a survivor’s original headpiece
- be rewarded 250 iridescent shards per devotion rank
- unlock a permanent version of the lowest level Medkit or toolbox for ONE character of your choosing.
there are a bunch of options for what could happen.
legacy cosmetics should stay unique, and if they were to make new ones for the newer survivors I think they should also make them a temporary thing that is a challenge to unlock. Do the next 5 characters at the anniversary, Ace, Feng, David, Kate, and Adam. Then a year after release legacy for Jeff, Jane, and the next three.
this is coming from someone who has no legacy outfits. It should stay rare, and if they do it again, it should really be a temporary unlockable for only newer characters at an anniversary or something.
Legacy 👏 is 👏 never 👏 coming 👏 back!👏
Devotion 10=1000 auric cells(?)
0 -
Devotion 10 = exclusive club of the 2v8 tournaments
Devotion 100 = 5th perk slot
0 -
5th perk slot would break the game
2v8 is a terrible idea
2 -
And he insists with the 5th perk slot heh...
Offtopic, how many of the legacy cosmetics owners still play the game?
2 -
Firstly, it was a lot harder to level up in 2016. Bloodwebs required way more bloodpoints and going through them was a real pain because the animation to unlock stuff took like 3 seconds for a single item / add-ons.
Secondly, if they made Legacy skins available again the whole point of "Legacy skins" would be gone. It's en exclusive for the people that play the since 2016.
And will over and over
In reality would be more happy with 8 slots 😂
0 -
My guess would be most of them.
I guess those figures would be easy to obtain. Legacy cosmetics handed out versus logins.
I’m trying to understand if a special new piece of cosmetic would actually keep people attached to the game besides the functioning of the game itself. I would appreciate a lot of fixes before a free piece of cosmetics due to having played for hundreds of hours. In fact, levelling is sometimes too easy. Even if you have a regular trial where you safe pip you get around 300 to 400 points towards the next level. I honestly see like no merit. Both general level and character lvl are easily obtainable if you devote your time to the game, but are no indicators for merit or skill.
No
Id rather just get an increase to how much shards you get after each level of devotion so I can buy more things especially when there is a limited time thing were cosmetics that cost money can be bought with shards.
Also no on legacy I have a friend who has been playing ever since release on pc and he himself only has 4 legacy pieces dispit playing the game back then about 6 hours a day.
1 -
I'd say rather few actually. To see Legacy ingame has become incredibly rare nowadays.
0 -
What is legacy btw?😂
0 -
Again.
No.
Legacy was given to those who had to endure the pain it was at the time.
I don't have Legacy, I play on console, I don't want Legacy.
Exclusives should stay exclusives.
2 -
No legacy was from a time where the players had a bloodweb which could take 10 games just to complete one.
People need to get over a one time cosmetic, it's not just legacy there were many outfits which were exclusive to events also.
Devotion need rewards I agree but they could be tied to auric cell cosmetics instead, you get to pick one outfit piece each time you reach lvl 100.
1 -
I am.
Even when it became more and more rare I still see a legacy survivor from time to time.
0 -
I don't think they should give Legacy skins, but I think something like getting a blue colored Legacy skin or something would be better. This way, people have motivation to actually get Devotion while not hurting the people that did the longer grind during the earlier days
It takes much longer to get level 10 devotion than getting full legacy on one character. Players with a devotion level of 10 are much rarer than anyone with legacy outfits - my guess it's in the single digits.
I fully support ATLEAST ONE piece of legacy when reaching devotion 10. You literally have to play the game for thousands of hours. As a dedicated player - it's so disappointing knowing I'll never be able to get my hands on these skins, while hacked ones roam free...
1 -
No, legacy must remain exclusive for those that were with the game since year 1. They suffered from many imbalanced things but they stuck with the game either way, they deserve legacy and it should not come back. Glad the devs are not bringing it back at all.
0 -
it might be interesting to see it this way
0 -
no
0 -
Devotion should give you extra shards or sum kind of awards not legacy tho
4 -
@BACKSTABBER the idea of more than 1 perk slot would actually hurt the game
How?
Well it rewards people who put enough playtime into the game to run more perks, and the ones who purposely depip will completely ruin those at lower ranks, the idea will not happen due to balance and needing to be capable of holding such power in ones hand could lead to the community being hurt by this
1 -
We should be able to pick a cosmetic piece for any survivor everytime we get a devotion point. The cosmetic could be a dirty survivor piece, like their clothing is worn out by the trials they survived. That would be very cool since it shows everyone that you love that survivor so much that you spend a devotion point to get their worn out outfit.
0 -
I don't know about getting a piece of Legacy. I wouldn't mind that, but that probably should remain a exclusive for Day 1/early players.
Devotion can have so many unlocks and unique things. Some of us play a lot and those people should be rewarded I think.
I'd be all for some sort of cosmetic reward, but I wouldn't want it to be legacy. The only reason legacy is special at the end of the day is because it's rare and impossible to get now. If everyone can get it, it loses a lot of its value. You also have to keep in mind that legacy rewarded people who played a lot in a short period of time, not just people who have been playing for a while. They only had a couple months to get all that grinding done.
Having the reward be something other than legacy wouldn't make it any less special though. You could still flex your 10k hours on people without it being legacy.
3 -
IT AIN'T COMING BACK!!!! WHEN WILL YOU ALL GET IT?!?!
1 -
"Everyone can get it", "loses a lot of its value", "not just people who have been playing for a while"...
No.. Anyone won't be able to get it. You have to play the game every day for a few hours for about 2-3 years to get a devotion level of 10 - most people will not spend anywhere near as much time on this one game. I'm closing in on 2000 hours myself, and I am only about to hit level 6.
Referring to my previous post, how many people do you think have reached level 10? Three, maybe four? Compare that with the amount of people who acquired it in the early days, which is in the hundreds, if not thousands. It would not lose any of it's 'value' as only the most dedicated and skilled players would be able to get it. If anything, it would only increase.
It's not coming back. Get over it.
0 -
No. I'm making valid points, and I would like to hear what the developers think.
0 -
The developers think it's not coming back and want you to get over it.
