Opinion on re-worked perks?

The Bitter Murmur re-work is HUGE. Absolutely HUGE! I could see that being the new de-facto tracking perk because being able to see them after they complete a gen AND during the end game is game changing.

Tinkerer re-work is pointless and won't really effect anything.

Predator re-work sounds nice but it really should be a base ability that the tracks are smaller and closer together.

Sloppy Butcher is still going to be pointless. Maybe not so much on Wraith considering but still pretty pointless.

Whispers sounds good but they inverted the use of the perk during the end game. Whispers would help you when trying to find the last guy now it's going to help you find the first guy and get weaker as you do better. So we'll see where this goes.

Save the Best for Last sounds amazing but then I realized that in order to get to 40% you need to hit the non-obsession 8 separate times. And it's not smart to always ignore the obsession. The real problem is that Killer's only have 3 perk slots available with Ruin being mandatory.

I will totally disagree about Sloppy Butcher being useless. Mangled makes healing take longer. Combine that with Caulrophobia and Distressing and healing is going to take a really long time. Could also toss in Nurse's Calling if you really want.

It might not be a "everyone has to run this" type of perk, but it'll definitely make for a pretty powerful build.

I have to disagree with you on Bloody Butcher - heal slowdown (especially the values they propose) is pretty good. Stack it with the right add-ins, and you can slow the game to a crawl as long as you are on point with your hits. Remember, you're not always hitting to down - sometimes you're just swatting people who are body blocking out of the way. Do that several times a match, and you can add a lot more time to get the job done.

Save The Best For Last will be usable again IMO. Some people ignore the Obsession as it is because of Abusive Strike.

If they put in Whispers as they propose, I'll likely never use it again. I didn't use it much to begin with.

Saying Tinkerer's change is pointless is being rather short-sighted. You aren't looking at the big picture. They more or less confirmed that Tinkerer was holding them back in making changes to certain powers and add-ins because they feared it would make a killer OP. Now, with Tinkerer removed from powers, they will be free to make changes to add-ins and killer powers without having to take this power into consideration. And frankly, I can't wait to try this new Tinkerer on a Stealth Billy build. Stealth Billy was already hilariously good - now it's going to be just stupid good.

I guess the re-worked Bloody Butcher would work with Coulrophobia but I dunno. I just have a feeling that you won't see it being used much. Someone will probably find a gimmick build and get a bunch of views on YT and people will proclaim how OP it is.

The Tinkerer re-work makes no difference. But I'm for it because your add-ons that were affected by it will be buffed and you no longer need the perk anymore. They just freed up a perk slot for Leatherface.

I was thinking more along the lines of certain addins that add the Mangled status. Especially on somebody like Leatherface or Huntress who can land the mangled effect with their Rusted/Grisly addins pretty easily. Thanaphobia sees some use already as well, and would go pretty well with the new Bloody Butcher. Guess that would be defined as a "gimmick build"...

You would never use an add-on that makes them Mangled on Leatherface. It's pointless. All of his add-ons aside from the charge ones are worthless.

I don't really use Huntress but I have used the Mangled add-on for Pig and I didn't notice much of a difference. Thanatophobia is also a waste.

Sure, you could go with a gimmick build at rank 18 for those Youtube views but against competent Survivors or an SWF squad I doubt you'd see much use for Butcher.

Well, we're going to just have to disagree then.

I get you only care about the red ranks, but most of the game isn't played at that level. All of these perks are perfectly viable up to the Green Ranks IMO.

Would Sloppy Butcher and Thanataphobia (so?) compliment each other? Just out of curiosity.

My mind is thinking Sloppy Butcher, Nurse's Calling, Bloodhound, and Thanataphobia on Wraith with the add-on.... I can't remember the name, where you can see survivors within a certain distance when cloaked.

If they wouldn't compliment each other than swap out Phobia with Butter Murmur?

Or maybe on the Doctor use Sloppy Butcher, Clauraphobia (so?), Distressing, and Nurse's Calling?

I'm think what might be enjoyable and kind of successful in the 2/4 kill zone.

If the game had a decent rank system then you'd have a point. But considering rank reset and SWF allowing high level players to face low level Killers I don't think you have a point to make.

How does a rank reset even nullify my point? do you not understand not everybody is interested in running the red ranks? Do you not understand not everybody is looking to min/max the ######### out of everything?

FFS man, I'm trying to be reasonable and you're being borderline insulting.

Rank reset means that players who have gotten to the high ranks and have the best perks/items will now be matched in the lower ranks against players who don't have the best perks/items.

This is not difficult to understand and if you still have difficulty understanding then I don't think anyone can help you.

I understand it perfectly, I just think you are making a bigger deal out of it than it actually is.

But whatever man. Have the last word if it makes you feel better.
