Daily Rituals Rework Suggestion

We got to a point in DBD where we have a lot more killers/survivors than I ever thought we would, which means it's a real grind to get all the teachables and perks in all your characters. I think we should have more ways to earn bloodpoints. I understand tweaking the quantity earned in match might be tricky, so I would just suggest giving us more daily rituals!

Imagine if we had maybe 10 rituals, 5 for survivors and 5 for killers. That would give us something to chase and earn extra bloodpoints. Or even better, imagine if daily rituals were randomly generated whenever you finished another one, so you can always get another one.

Or maybe they could work like investigations in Monster Hunter, where you can pick and chose several at the same time depending on which killer/survivor you run.

It's just that I think what keeps DBD interesting and fresh for me is the variety of builds we can do... so give us more power to get those perks and have fun, please!

Any feedback is welcome. Thank you.

I think rituals would be a lot better if they targeted Survivors and Killers you love to play the most, rather than playing someone you haven't touched. Survivor's are just re-skins and playing a Survivor you haven't leveled up at all with the current grind is a pain and trying out new Killers who haven't recently been released with the current state of the game is practically signing yourself up for defeat if you don't have them leveled up or a basic understanding of how to play them. Having rituals just stay attuned to who you love to play could easily rid ourselves the grind, but I guess that is just my opinion. I do like your idea though, but I just wish they could stay true to what and who you love the most in the game.

Rituals wouldn't feel as ######### if you got a new set of three rituals per day (replacing all remaining ones) and had a boost to BP rewards, akin to how it was before. Increasing the amount to four or five as well.. that'd not be bad either.

I agree with you. I play most killer so it doesnt affect me all that much but I can totally understand where u'r coming from. Maybe the rituals could be generic.. like "Open an exit gate" no matter who you're playing. Or "get (x) sacrifices", "Hit (x) survivors"...

Thanks for the feedback. This would be pretty nice, although ten per day might be a little much. At some point the daily part gets too demanding for people who only have time to play a couple games. If I were to get rituals that require me to play three different killers and two different survivors and only had an hour or so to play each day, there's a pretty good chance I wouldn't get them all done. Having fewer rituals that reward more points would make them a little more accessible.

Maybe remove the "daily" part and turn them into just "rituals"? heheh But in all seriousness I understand your point. I myself dont have a lot of time to play everyday, I might get 4 or 5 matches a day. But what Im really thinking about is a way to give people more ways to earn bloodponints without having to tweak the amount earned in match. Now that we have 15 killers/survs the grind is really tough for people who havent played since the beginning.

And thank you for your reply!

If it was possible to get two perks per bloodweb then grind would be much more reasonable. And still you must earn points and burn trough full webs if you want addons and items.

I find them quite pointless when the daily is "escape with X survivor" and I have that survivor at level 1 because I don't play survivor often. Then I do the one time change and get another survivor daily. The world isn't going to burn if I can choose one 30k bp killer ritual. There's so much pointless RNG tied to character progression in this game.

It's the same "daily quests" psychological trap that other games have. They are not here for your enjoyment, they are here to make you play the game.

I think first of all they need to adjust the original killers dailies (Trapper, Wraith etc) BP to be inline with the other killers,

For example, using Wraiths power will get you 25,000, and I think the trappers one is only 20,000 where as all other killers dailies are 30,000

Daily rituals shouldn't be random and could be used to influence people on which side they should play.

Don't have enough killer? Only Killer rituals should pop on our screens.

I feel like this somewhat happens when I neglect playing killer for a while, it's like hey how about we give you 2 sacrifice as shape and level up EW 😂 Game trying to make me play more killer matches... definitely would be nice if this was consistently a thing though. Freddy rituals feel a little neglected lately, keep getting heaps of billy/wraith/nurse/huntress and I play only one of those...I literally never get pig ones either. Would also be nice to get a random draw based on if you want a killer or survivor ritual, I'm not really a fan of most of the surv rituals to be honest, like escape with an item, sabo hooks...

Is this supposed to be read that you're considering increasing the BP rewards of rituals, then? Because, personally, I think that'd be pretty great. I'll be honest, I mostly play killer, and if I have a choice between playing a killer I enjoy with BBQ&C or running a ritual, I'll usually get more BP and enjoy myself more by just playing the killer. The only real exception are rituals to mori survivors, but since you usually get a bunch of DCs when you burn a mori, you'll typically be losing more BP than just playing a normal match anyway.

Alternatively, they can just put the daily rewards back to what they were before they decided to nerf them for no reason.

I really want to see Survivor specific dailies removed. There is no difference is what you're doing with the survivor and it's just not fun to play one you don't use or have leveled.

What is the difference if I open the escape gates & survive as Quentin vs Denson. Just make it a general "Open Escape gates & survive".

I wish we had daily rituals and weekly rituals. Daily rituals for logging in daily and doing a action as survivor or killer (for survivor no longer limited to a specific one) and weekly over all ones such as get ex amount of moris within the week for perhaps 100,000 bp, or get a certain amount of hooks/escapes or even hatch escapes for survivors. Maybe have it that if you complete an ex amount of rituals In a week you get a bonus or just, have two rituals given daily rather then a single one. Or better yet be able to gain a larger stock of rituals for people who haven't played in a while. Oh you couldn't play for a week? Look at the 7 daily rituals you can complete. Though if they did that they should have another daily incentive like oh log in 7 days a week for a single match and you get 30 iridecent shards etc

I'm not contributing, but I had a ritual where I had to survive and escape with Feng (My main btw) so I escaped and I didn't get the reward. And I was all... "What?" So I did it again. And still no rewards to claim. I had another one for Bill. And some how that worked...

The game is just a teeny tiny bit broken.

@foru Thats exactly how it works now. It gathers the data from the previous day and gives you a ritual for the side you played the least.

I think giving separate survivor and killer dailies would be great but I would say a maximum of two survivor dailies and two killer dailies at any given time and you get one new of each at the normal time each day with the option of trashing ONE (either survivor or killer) each day.

This would keep the gameplay fair (meaning that those who play for hours cannot take advantage of continuously getting new dailies every time they complete one). It also gives everyone an extra daily that they do not have now and (for those that do not like killer dailies) you are guaranteed one daily for your preferred playing type.

Currently, I am hounded by killer dailies. I usually get three killer dailies for every survivor daily that I have. There is also the fact that each killer has a "kill by your own hands" daily worth 60,000 BP. Not a single survivor has any daily that is worth that much. And I understand that killing by your own hands is a lot more difficult than any of the survivor dailies, which is why you earn more. However with Rancor, I don't get rid of those anymore because it is a lot easier to get that kill and your 60k BP's. It would be nice if you could create a daily for each survivor to escape without being injured (equally as difficult) that is worth 60K.

As for the person who suggested dailies geared towards the characters you play, this could be more difficult because it is a personal preference: I am a Survivor main and do not like to play killer. I use the killer dailies as incentive to improve on the killers that I do not play very well AND still need a trophy for them. For example: If I get a Trapper daily then I'm going to trash it in hopes that I will get either: a survivor daily (my preference) or a killer daily for the Clown (as an example) because I still need clown trophies. I do not trash killer dailies just because I don't like the killer. After you force yourself to play them, you may find out that you are actually decent and not complete rubbish. (I will admit to being a little bit if a weirdo, though. I have a goal of reaching end game, which to me means having all trophies and all characters P3 level 50 with all perks.

I'm with Arisquelle. Two killer dailies and two survivor dailies would be ideal. As far as something similar to "kill by you own hands" goes, I would suggest "cleanse a hex totem" for 60k BP. Hex totems aren't incredibly rare but can be challenging to get to before other players and also it would slow down gen progression since it gives a survivor an alternative goal with a worthy reward. I can see why it might irritate killers to have hex totems targeted like that but most survivors will go for them anyway, so I doubt there would be any significant difference in gameplay.

Another suggestion I have is to add more to the variety of dailies. I feel like I get the same few over and over again. Stun a killer could be one for survivors, break x # of pallets could be another for killer, blind a killer, knock down x # of survivors or x # of times, killers could get: chase survivor for x number of seconds (sorry if this exists already), cleanse x # of totems (maybe one day killers will be able to "waste" time rebuilding totems, which would slow down gameplay [my idea would be that gen progression would be greatly slowed while this is done so killer isn't gen rushed and survivors would know its happening but perhaps the killer could pick the location so survivors can't just run over and destroy it] so that could be one), maybe use different perks on different chars. I could go on but I'll spare you since it would all revolve around basic gameplay actions anyway. xD
