Why Hatch Standoff + NOED is a thing?

This is ridiculously OP, the killer just have to standoff the hatch and wait for the survivor to come and then close it, activating the NOED, giving the survivor no chance to escape. Change NOED to be powered when 5 generators were done, not when the gates are powered up. Without NOED you still have a chance to escape by hiding when the killer is chasing you our opening the hatch if you have a key.

    As above, break the totems and do gens if they stand there.

    You can still actively play and get points while they stand still wasting time.

    Killer camps the hatch and you walk there?

    Do gens until he leaves the hatch then jump in.

    Adept to the new norm. As others have said, if the killer is lurking the hatch, you know he is more than likely running NOED, go break some totems. Then do a gen to lure him away or for him to kick the hatch.

    Cleanse totems and hide near an exit until they close it, open the exit when they get done with hatch and be free little bird

    you can always miss a totem if you don't run small game, please, stop saying the cleansing totems thing. hiding near an exit won't help so much, it is like the old hatch stand off but a lo more dificult, because when the killer closes the hatch its obvious that he will camp the both exit gates 'till i appear in one of them trying to open it, doing a generator is an instant death if the killer has bitter murmur or rancor, he can close the hatch and just came for me fast with the NOED

    Yup, you don't get a free escape anymore. How novel!

    OP the devs dont care. Survivors just get more and more taken away. Solo survivor continues being a ######### show.

    Killers want free kills so they got them.

    @baron

    Before the hatch standoff was a free win for survivors.

    Now you actually have to work after you've lost it apparently now equals free kill for Killers

    @Axelson

    Run wake up or small games then. Sacrifice some of your meta perks.

    Anytime a killer complaints about something they're told to run the perk that counters it but apparently that doesn't apply to survivors.

    a lot of my original thoughts have been covered here. clean totems, adapt.

    @Axelson Let me go through your points.

    1 you can always miss a totem if you don't run small game, please, stop saying the cleansing totems thing.

    If the killer is just sitting on the hatch, then you have plenty of time to cleanse totems, as he is waiting to bait you. Also, you should have been cleansing totems as you saw them before you ever got to 1v1 situation, small game or not

    2 hiding near an exit won't help so much, it is like the old hatch stand off but a lo more dificult,

    Depends on maps and gate spawns. Sometimes yes, you gonna be screwed in EGC with how the gates spawn. Then you have Lery's and the Game where gates are far enough apart and a lot to obstruct the killer's view that you can easily get a gate open

    3 doing a generator is an instant death if the killer has bitter murmur or rancor

    If you are not the obsession rancor means nothing. Bitter Murmur while helpful does not equal instant death, no reason to exaggerate the situation.

    4 he can close the hatch and just came for me fast with the NOED

    Go back to see the first point.

    Take more and more away like giving you MoM & killing legion in the process of buffing BT to the heavens? Ok

    Why did you go toward the killer? You do realize the killer is supposed to be dangerous, right?

    everyone is trashing you but i completely see where you're coming from.

    now to address this comment;

    if you're scared of the killer you have to either be a new player or an inexperienced one. nobody with over 1k hours cares if the killer is intended to scare you. once you get over that initial fear of the killer it's hard to be scared of them after that. and quite frankly if the dev team actually cared about killers being scary they would have done things differently by now.

    killing legion had to be done, so don't even bring that up like it matters. sorry you were probably a legion main that swung in circles hoping for a hit.

    @sam appropriate changes are still changes (and it is hardly consensus that Legion's changes were the right ones). To say otherwise is a fallacy (no true Scotsman fallacy to be specific). You are hardly the only one to do this, people often say the same thing when exhaustion nerfs get brought up. It is invalid then and it is invalid now.

    Yes, let's cry for a shadow buff of BT and MoM but nobody talks about the omega blink nurse, 5 blinks nurse, instasaw billy, instadown huntress, enduring + spirit fury combo and a lot of more killer broken add-ons. I love how all the killer mains are going for MoM, BT, Adrenaline and SC but the survivors can't complain about nothing lol

    Waiting out the bleed out timer while the Pig TBags you is common nowadays... Basically your just there for amusement which is annoying at best. EGC is one sided but that's why there are other games 👍
