Shadownerf to Overcharge

When the skill check to Decisive Strike was increased, the Overcharge skillcheck was increased too. It's 1000x less useful because it's too easy to hit.

EDIT: In the same update, the overcharge skillcheck was made the exact same size for every tier.

Please revert Overcharge back.

EDIT2: I was wrong, apparently. Overcharge wasn't shadownerfed, it just really felt like it was.

Maybe it just needs a buff.

Was it really? I never had a game where someone used overcharge since the update so I never saw

I used to use overcharge a lot, so this is a little sad if true, does it still stack okay with unnerving presence? (Or does this just make it the size it used to be?) How much bigger is it because I remember the old one quite vividly.

It might have, I don't remember though since overcharge is used pretty rarely, if you could get some screenshots for this it would help.

    Where is your proof?

I haven't noticed any difference at all. Are you sure you weren't playing versus a killer with a lower leveled Overcharge?

You’re kidding right? I’d love some screenshots if it’s true.

    that explains a LOT.

Played a game against overcharge yesterday and i disagree. The decisive strike is noticeably bigger but overcharged looks the same as before

overcharge looked the same in my matches to me.

    @KillermainBTWm8 @Spirez @Kiskashi @legion_main @PolarBear @Visionmaker @SnakeSound222

The new overcharge is about 50% bigger. I'll get screenshots soon-ish.

Played today against LF with Overcharge - it is totally same as before. A bit bigger than Great skill check zone, probably about 30%.

@Peanits I'm 100% certain it's without unnerving. From Killer and Survivor sides I've experienced overcharge since 2.6.0, and it's definitely bigger.

It'll take me a little bit to find pre-2.6.0 clips.

@Exerlin it was definitely smaller before.

@AntiJelly I assure you it wasn't. I used to run it and I face the perk often in the games. The size of it has been the same for all patches.

That's about what I remember it being as well. Seems exactly the same to me. It would be much smaller with Unnerving Presence, though.

If anything, it looks smaller. What's up with the shadowbuff to overcharge?

Maybe it's different between console and PC.

Never use console as an argument. It sucks and nobody cares about it.

As for Overcharge, I never play survivor lol. I hope it wasn't NERFED!

that looks normal. A sligthly larger then a great skillcheck zone.

I guess what I'm experiencing is survivors actually knowing how to hit skillchecks. When did this happen? Nerf it!

Why did you change your argument to reverting the size change to Overcharge? Now every tier is the same size as if it were tier III, the only difference being how much a survivor loses progression had they failed.

@Mat_Sella I didn't change my argument, just stating that in the same update, it just so happened that all of the tiers' skillcheck sizes were made the same.

@steezo_de in that clip (summer 2018), overcharge still had bigger skillcheck zones at lower tiers of the perk. That looks like Overcharge II.

Well then. It seems I was mistaken? I could've sworn Overcharge was smaller before 2.6.0.

Everyone makes mistakes.. including the 17 other people that upvoted the post. Game on.

This sums up a lot of why sensible debates fly out of control in this forum. Although I'm sure the OP was well intentioned, 17 up votes when nothing has actually changed 😂

I don't know what's more concerning, the fact that people are imagining things or that so many others are totally willing to take unsubstantiated easily disproven anecdotes at face value.

Kudos to @Exerlin and @steezo_de for providing in-game shots. Your time is appreciated.

Just played against Overcharge. It is definitely not as big as a Good Skill Check and it's about the same as before.

    I didn't notice a difference.

@Peanits can you close this post? I'll admit, I'm definitely in the wrong here. I don't see a reason for more people to comment on it.

Oops. My comment didn't actually mention @Peanits the first time. Neat.
