Punish killers who camp hooks? /Main killer here
My suggestion is that you make hang time on the hooks for survivors longer, that will make the killer have to look for others because that will make survivors have an advantage. I'm not talking about alot more hang time just alittle will do. What you guys think or do you have any other ideas?

Someone correct me if I am wrong: Wasn't this exact idea already tried in the past, and it was quickly scrapped because Survivors abused the hell out of it?

They will get punished a lot If your team Is not garbage. They can simply "gen rush" him. 1 kill, 3 escapes and Killer will de-pip.
Also Kindred says "Hello there!"

Don't be the camped survivor. You just have to be sneakier and or better at loops than at least one of your teammates

Well DrDeepwound I am talking about 1-2 min more on the hook. And I recently played a bit more survivor but I see it is a problem at least at higher rank.
At low rank 1-8 I feel it can be maybe to powerful

I think OP is requesting a general increase of sacrifice time, regardless of camp. A flat killer nerf. Sounds very "killermainbtw" to me.

Guys i have a great idea how about we punish the survivors that make camping so profitable for killers. We punish every survivor that
- loops a killer right infront of the person on the hook.
- That run right at the hook without attempting to be stealthy or hide their presence
- That doesn't wait for the killer to leave the area first.
- That farms people on the hook.
- That care more about denying the killer a single kill rather then use that time to work on gens.

By having the rest of the survivors swarm the hook. Then the killer is left in the position where they leave and get nothing because all the survivor are in that 1 area. Or stay and get punished for it even though there is no reason to leave the area.

Yes and the killer would be punished for it. The killer knew where all the survivors were and the only way they wouldn't be penalised for playing the game was if they ignored all the survivors and left the area

If a killer main had an issue with camping in the game then they wouldn't do it. There would be no need for them to create a post asking for a punishment.

Some killer mains don’t camp and play survivor some. Some of them would like unfun mechanics IE gen rush and camping looked at.

I'm a switch and although i don't like to camp sometimes it useful and necessary to use. Also you can be in the area and not be camping should killers be punished for that. Yes it sucks for survivors when people abuse it but survivors can be pretty sucky themselves.

I play both survivor and killer, which is exactly why I said what I said. I play more survivor than killer these days and even I can see why 2 more minutes on the hook is a survivor biased idea. Asking to be punished for camping is not something that killermains ever really do. PS look above many agree with me ;) go argue with them

Well with solos rushing the gens on camp usually still ends with a 2K minimum after everyone figures out what is going on - no instant voice comm to relay that info you know. There's just enough time for the killer to camp, then catch another to camp.
If the killer slugs another at the hook, well then it is pretty much 3k, 4k if they catch sight of the last one at any time.

Yeah and it was still a boring and non-interactive game as everyone was either reduced to being a hostage or just pressing M1 all game.

It's good like it is actually. Most of killers plays fair. Do you meet hard campers so often? It's really rare.
When you see a killer hard camping it's simple, don't try to be a hero (unless you have borrow & DH?) with stupid moves you're just gonna give him more points/kills. Just rush gens, you have time to complete at least 3 generators while he's camping...
They punish themselves cause they get genrushed and make low bps.
Camping is totally fine for me, i agree being camped don't make your game really interesting but whatever gotta deal with it. All you can do is give time to your team by not attempting to self unhook and struggle the longer as possible.

@GrootDude your right there will be killers that don't like it but anyone who has put the time in will know there will be times where you won't be camping but they won't have to leave the hook either. No killer is going to ask to be punished for camping the hook at the times they might need to camp or ask to punished when they're not camping either

I enjoy my insidious meme builds( even if they do fall apart from time to time) so I disagree with this. Instead of whining, just enjoy the fact you get to spend some bonding time with the killer.

Just put force fields around everyone, and replace the killers weapon with a squeaky hammer.
Or better yet add a "nope you didnt hit me! Yes I DID! NO YOU DIDN'T ... IM telling my MOM!" perk.
Or better still! Just remove killers and Survivors and just press spacebar for points.

One thing most people don't understand is that a killer who camps doesn't give a ######### about losing points or not ranking up, I don't think BHVR can do anything to those type of players because at the end of the day they don't care. And obviously camping does not warrant a ban or time out, it's a strategy after all, just like when survivors 99% the exit gates to bypass EGC.

I suggested this as a repair to Stuggle Phase being a joke. It punishes camping in a way that isn't a detriment to normal killers. It also cannot be easily abused like the previous punish camping PTB suggestion.

@Glisurd I rarely see camping at high ranks. Tunneling yes, but not camping. (I'll exclude the cases where survivors storm the hook or when the gens are done.)
Camping happens a lot more in the low ranks.

Someone suggested something like this, paired with longer gen times so that it wouldn't be as stressful to killers who are actually pressuring survivors. You're talking about just making the hang time longer, right?

All of those already happen. Killer doesn't lose emblem points if a survivor is within 16 meters of a hooked survivor, if a survivor doesn't get safe hook rescue they get massively punished on emblem and lose out on the 1k pts or whatever it is. Stop trying to make lies when killers tend to camp when there is absolutely no one nearby.

They implemented it incorrectly. They have the tech in place already to fix the problems. If a survivor is within 16 meters similar to how a killer doesn't lose emblem points for camping, the penalty isn't in effect.
I still don't understand how people sit and accept camping at this point. I can see if you 100% know a survivor is there, but I've had plenty of games the killer just sits there and stares. And yes I will berate them on PSN after the game.
