Why do people dc/suicide on the hook once they find out that you’re a good nurse?
So I’ve went back to maining nurse and so far every match I’ve played as her at least one survivor suicides, and this is on PS4.

Because DC means they won :D

True :D

Because majority of survivor mains just want ez escapes and no brain loop sadly.
1 -
Sometimes people suicide on the hook because they see that their team is not helping and they know that they're going to die on that hook anyway so they try to hurry up the process as well to move onto the next game.

I’ll admit she is a bit busted with add ons but I don’t even use add ons. :/
0 -
True
Imo it is, good nurses are a rare breed on PS4.
0 -
No, it isn’t. She is a bit busted but I still enjoy playing against her as survivor and not every good nurse tries to snowball everyone.
1 -
@GrootDude if i'm playing solo and my teammates are useless i will suicide on the hook to get out of the match as quick as possible and move on.
Although sometimes my teammates cough cough body block me in or let's say for instance stand at the gate teabagging for a minute while the killer with NOED slugged 3 of us and said teammate continues to teabag as oppose to help ANYONE!! Just you know for example.

I absolutely love playing against nurses that I can mind game and have decent chases with before I get downed.
But if there's a nurse that doesn't fall for mind games and has 3 or 4 blinks, sometimes it's really just better to kill myself on hook, get out of that match, and move on. And since DC'ing is punishable, that's the only alternative to DC'ing

@GrootDude SWF OP!!!!
1 -
Even without add ons people dc/suicide. :/
Ikr lol.
Remember what I said “Not every good nurse tries to snowball everyone”, I’ve watched plenty of pc players to know that this is true.

I get this a lot, once survivors know I'm a good console Nurse, they start to DC or kill themselves on the hook. Then I feel bad and let a survivor leave because their chances of wins is drastically decreased. :(

You play nurse on PS4??? What’s your rank I’M COMING
0 -
Rank four.
Nobody gets spared on purpose! >:)

Very true. XD

Because people are pathetic that's why. Yeah that's right I'm calling every one of y'all who do it out. I play both sides and there is no reason to just DC or commit Sudoku seppuku on yourself.
Learn from the experience. Become a better player. Don't hate the game/player, learn counters. Play out the match and atleast try to survive rather then RUINING EVERYONE ELSES EXPERIENCES BECAUSE YOUR BAD.
Nurse may be strong, and with add-ons she might be incredibly strong to the point of breaking the game in some ways. But that doesn't mean dcing is ok. Commiting not alive on hook should never be ok either. Seriously. Stop it. It ruins the game for the other 4-2 players left.
Nurse has counters. Nurse isin't impossible to beat, no one is.
4 -
Not on ps4
0 -
You don't see alot of good nurses in ps4. Hell you don't see a lot nurses in general on PS4.
1 -
I don't know why I even run Kindred anymore, the amount of times the entire team just stops what they are doing and huddle around the hook area happens far, FAR, too bloody often
And if not it's the other case where all 3 are at opposite ends and corners of the map and let me go all the way into struggle without lifting a finger
At least they get paid back sometimes, when Dying Light procs because I was the obsession
2 -
Her counters depend on the player tbh, corn maps are pretty much a guaranteed loss for me since I can’t see through corn. :/

Yeah no. that is an incredibly narrow and sad view point. the pure facts is, that there is no baby nurses, and no baby survivors. only survivors who don't want to put the same effort into mastering nurses counters and how to vs her, as nurses put into developing the skills the use against you. obviously i can't force people to do jack all, though there only choosing to be cannon fodder, when they could develop there own skills and be so much more. what i can do however is look down on anyone who dc's as a prick.
(sorry if this comes off a little aggressive by any means, i just hate people who dc, and hate people who ruin my games against nurses and when im playing nurse. its the same thing behind people dcing because of doctor, or ghostface or any other killer. its ######### and it ruins the game for me. again sorry if im coming off angry or aggressive. :) )

Because the devs still won't punish DC's.
0 -
Survivors DC against any single killer, and I am not overracting at all.
2 -
Justify the DC however you like, but it's still rather pathetic.
Nurses, even good nurses have counters. Just because you can't work them, dosn't mean they don't exist. They are hard to play around but not impossible. If i wanted easy, I'd go join Butters and play Hello Kitty Island Adventure.
If i get caught, I'm not f**ng over my team or the killer by DCing or dying on hook.

Thank you <3
She really isn't a busted chore to play against. I have more trouble against spirits and doctors if I'm being honest. Doctor because he cancels all my stealth and spirit because she cancels my looping better then nurse
0 -
So what if he's supposedly "low tier". a good doctor will make your life hell just as much as a nurse a billy a spirit etc. And you can loop nurses if your good, your just bad.
0 -
Just no.

Guys, please don’t turn this into a “is Nurse counterable” thread. I was just annoyed that people kept dcing/suiciding.
1 -
Sorry. yeah its incredibly toxic and i dislike it just as much man

Most people only have so much time in the day to play games and have fun.
Most nurse games feel futile.
It feels worth dipping out of that game asap and finding a new one to maybe have more fun in.
3 -
Because nurse/her addons are over powered even on console. With that said people shouldn’t DC, but I understand people who suicide on hook when your team is already getting destroyed. It’s not fun, you barely get any bloodpoints, and you’ll most likely derank anyways. Best just to move on to the next match.
2 -
Nah, you’re just bad lol.

You just answered your own question...they disconnect because they can't stand being defeated by a skillful killer who actually poses a legitimate threat to them. This isn't exclusive to the nurse either, it applies to every killer in the game. To those who say they "win" by disconnecting, that's not entirely accurate. It is actually the killer that wins, as they receive a "quitter bonus" points the moment they disconnect. This also applies to cases where it's their last hook before being sacrificed. The killer still wins because as far as I'm concerned, if the killer put them on their last hook, the kill still technically counts, even if they disconnect, as they would have died anyway.

For the record, “DC=win” is actually a joke.

Wasn't aware of that, thank you for the clarification.

You’re welcome

i dont dc in general, but i really don't give out my full effort to the team when a nurse is going around.

Every other killer has survivors leading the killer around on a chase: survivor is in control.
For nurse it's her skill that dictates the flow of the chase.
With those dc survivors are only feeding their "random are trash" agenda, which in itself only happens because theyre so used to swf or cwf that their perception of a a normal trial is warped.
1 -
Or you know, they just like playing Dead by Daylight, which the Nurse doesn't play.
7 -
because they don't want to play against a good nurse
0 -
Well that logic does only apply to survivors it seems.
All other killers except CANT play DBD like nurse. They get looped instead.
1 -
Because for some people, it's easier to take a loss if they tell themselves it's not their fault ("The Nurse is broken and you can't do anything against her!") or if they pretend it was their decision all along ("You didn't kill me, I quit!").
0 -
DbD has a cool roster of unique killers. It also has what appears to be a playable character from Warframe dressed up as a nurse who constantly screeches for some reason, but that's for the devs to sort out.
0 -
DC = win
Seriously though I normally kill myself on hook when it is looking pretty helpless or my friend is already dead. You need a pretty good team to face a good nurse and that is rare playing with randoms.
0 -
I like playing against the nurse good or bad..respect for those who slay with her no doubt. But could be multiple reasons some dc..

What MandyTalk said
+ Like you said, if you're good Nurse then yea you won of course and maybe the survivors just wants to leave the lobby to dodge you and find a better one ^^
I mostly leave high ping huntress or spirit because it's not fun at all. But mostly I start playing one of these killer like Nurse and just destroy the people in my game. (Dont blame me, it's nurse and I had 3 years learning how to play her)
In conclusion
some people just suicide/dc to find a fun game. You dont know how many people ######### on em and how many bad games they had or idk
Personally i dont like dcs but i understand/feel the most cases
