The demogorgon's now break pallet by default but Legion can't??

Demo gets stunned when breaking pallets with that add-on.
Legion does not.
Big difference.

Not necessarily the strongest add-on's, but they aren't anything to snub or overlook because of their common/uncommon rarity. With these 2 add-on's the demo can actually chain his shreds to catch up to fleeing survivors, but doing so is a bit awkward. You also have to remember that as far as shredding pallets is concerned; if you don't already have the attack charged up for .65 seconds before the pallet is dropped, you add that .65 seconds to the total pallet shred time making it 2.65 seconds with the black heart add-on, or 2.4 seconds with Black Heart + Mew's guts, and getting your timing perfect can be tricky. IMO, The new Red Moss is actually a very powerful add-on by comparison since the Web Cap add-on's only add .5 seconds and 1 second to the undetectable time whereas Red moss adds a whopping 8 seconds to undetectable (for a total of 10 seconds) but 10 seconds to the traversal recovery time. I know the downside seems to diminish its effectiveness, but in practice it insanely revs up on his jump scare potential.
There's also the Tripe and Deer Lungs add-on's that make traversing the upside down 1.8 seconds faster at the furthest distance, which basically makes it almost instant if you are going to a mid-close range portal (3 seconds - 1.8 seconds = 1.2 seconds at max distance), guaranteeing that survivors don't get far enough away from the portal when you catch them sealing it. Then there's the Viscous webbing (1.5 seconds) Thorny Vines (1.5 seconds) and the Upside down resin (3 seconds) that add time to sealing portals for a max of 4.5 seconds when survivors try to seal them which normally takes 12 seconds. At 16.5 seconds of sealing time that gives the demo a 2.5 second buffer after he uses his portal and goes into his default 14 second recovery time, so even if 1 survivor immediately started sealing the portal after he used it, he's gonna be able to come back and stop them before they finish. Then there's the Rat Liver which is a highly underrated common add-on. Rat liver increases his Movement Speed from 3.68 m/s while charging his Shred to 4.01 m/s, which definitely gives him an advantage when rounding corners on loops while charging his attack. Rat Tail likewise reduces his portal setting time from 1 second to .5 seconds, as well as the time it takes him to open the portal and jump in from 1.5 seconds to .75, which shaves a little extra time off of his travel and setup.
Barbs Glasses (1.5 seconds), Elevens Soda (2 seconds), and Unknown Egg (2.5 seconds) also can be stacked to reduce his portal traversal cooldown from 14 seconds to 9.5 seconds at maximum making it available to use more frequently. Mew's Guts + Rotten Pumpkin give you a maximum of 8 portals which gives you better coverage of the map and thus more map pressure. Finally there's the Sticky Lining and Thorny Vines which both increase the Portals detection range by 1.5 meters each for a total of 3 meters. The standard detection range of the portals is 4 meters so with both of those add-on's it becomes an 7 meter detection radius which means you can set portals a little further from objectives and still be able to detect survivors. On paper this doesn't seem like much but in practice it's an enormous improvement if you want to use the portals to find survivors around the map.
I hope this information will help you in deciding which add-on combinations you'll build around. IMO, the best add-on's are Mew's Guts, All the Common add-on's, Red Moss, Deer Lung + Tripe, and Either the Sealing time add-on's, or the Traversal cooldown ones. Of those however, the most powerful ones are undoubtedly the Deer Lung + Tripe, and the Red Moss, although this is just my opinion.

Demogorgon is a creature from another plane with supernatural abilities and significant mass. Legion is an angsty team of teenagers (young adults) weighing maybe 140 and likely a vegan. I don't buy them breaking a pallet in the same manner.
Heck, I think Legion should have to kick the pallet 3 to 4 times while screaming "not fair" to break a pallet.

I don't agree. And I play Legion I think.

amazing thank you again so much for this extensive explanation of all his addons. much appreciated

Remember legion gets a refreshed Frenzy every non-injured person they stab that means they could potentially break way more pallets in a shorter timeframe than demogoron spamming shred.

Welp, that's 3 no's and 1 yes so far.

The only advertisment video I know of GF is where he is in a supermarket. You can compare this advertisment video with the Legion advertisment video with Frank where he kills David. Aka. a advertisment video that tells not much.
A difference is the Legion advertisment video that shows also the abilities of the Legion and yeah, in my eyes a companie needs to stick to what they advertise. If they don't won't do that for whatever reason, they should have made a other, or no advertisment video.
There are a ton of people that buy things just because they have see something in a video like this and while I know that some fanboys will buy everything of a companie what they offer, other people remember this.
Every day where the Legion stays in its current state in this game, it hurts dbd, because the people will see themself that this video is not fitting, aka. that they don't get for their money, what they have liked to buy and here it doesn't stop.
You know, the most people have familys, friends, work/schoolmates and everytime if the topic dbd now comes near them up, they will tell the storie how they got tricked by this game and that means less people that would try out dbd.
With that I don't wanna say "that this is the end of dbd". Of course not. Sooner or later, the whole thing will be forgetten by the majority of the dbd playerbase.
But there will still be people that tell this story in real life and on social plattforms and well... I don't know how many dbd makes/month, but I know that their 100% cut of money would be bigger, if they would have also the Legion playerbase on board.
To do this, they should put the Legion again in a place, where she fits to the advertisment video.
I don't think that many people who have watch this video, have think much on the possible damage, the Legion can deal (because that hides the video mostly), but they have thought that they would be fast.
And the Legion is today not anymore as fast as in the days back then.
In situations where survivors need to show skill in the past, to survive, they don't need to show it today anymore. They just need to run straight forward and they are faster as a guy in frenzy.
A faster Legion would nobody kill. Remember that the Legion still would have a 4 hour... sry... 4 seconds stun after frenzy (the dbd devs way to kill every possible fun a Legion player develops while in frenzy, I guess?).
Argh, yet I have write again such a long posting. I don't wanna do this anymore. Well... :/

Comparing the two is like comparing apples to oranges. The Legion's ability basically revolves around vaulting pallets. While you're in frenzy, it's almost as if the pallet isn't there. If the pallet breaks, you more or less lose a big part of what makes them special and instead have a flashy pallet breaking animation.
The Demogorgon, on the other hand, can't vault a pallet. They still need to break it. Shred still has a pretty lengthy cooldown when breaking a pallet, so having it break pallets by default is a pretty small change.

Yes, but Legion's cooldown is longer than Demo. Also Legion's power is not lethal.

In the StarCraft community, we used to whine about frivolous comparisons between the 3 races and their balance. A meme developed: "Different races are different." Well, different killers are different.

but when will Legion be able to slide across the hood of a car like they do pallets, just to show how little they respect personal property, and are true angsty edgy teens?

There we have the same opinion.
Still, the Legion needs buffs, or a rework again. Especially what frenzy matters and the unfun penalty mechanics.
I don't understand honestly for what you guys are afraid?
Even every possible change to this two topics would still make the Legion not op, since dw would still be gutted.
Imo, the devs should make either frenzy, or dw great again.
Even if I personally would prefer frenzy and not dw.

When the shred is faster than the standard breaking animation.
