Old Freddy with addon
Could it be possible to get the common addon "wool shirt" to make you into the old Freddy? You would be barebone, but i know that myself and many others would like to play our favorite killer again.
The addon is completely uselless now anyway so lets change it to something that we want instead.

It's not going to happen that would mean they would have to balance out two different types of Freddy.
You would have to make a balance changes that will make sure both versions of Freddy aren't too overpowered or too underpowered.
What you're suggesting isn't a simple transformative add-on like scratched mirror or or Amanda's letter. It's not just enhancing one part of the kit to change gameplay,
It's completely changing everything about the kit to something completely different.
Because of that you would have to take special attention into adjusting each of these variations with each balance change

It wouldn't be option. New add-ons would conflict with old Freddy (e.g. using an add-on that switches to pallets with that would break him, you wouldn't be able to put them to sleep, only place pallets). Beyond that, old Freddy was also unfun for the survivor side as well. Even if the killer loves playing old Freddy, doing a generator at half speed or less hoping for a skill check was not very interesting gameplay, and it's not something we'd like to bring back.

So,
wool shirt - Replaces snares with dream whip. A beam of dream energy that lashes out (what was it 5-7 meters?) at survivors. An awake survivor hit with this energy is instantly put to sleep. The Nightmare can see the aura of sleeping survivors outside of terror radius. Tremendously increases teleporting activation time. Teleporting can't be negated.

Considering survivors drift asleep passively and you could hit them to fully pull them into the dream this would be the most useless add-on for making people fall asleep and probably the most annoying add-on to go up against because Freddy would just have permanent aura reading on everybody without having to do anything to them
