I am not playing the same game as the streamers'.
I watch YouTube videos of popular streamers to see what decisions they make in which situations as playing Killer, so I can improve my gameplay. But their videos are literally ridiculous. Unless they specifically name the title "versus a sweaty swf", most teams they play against are incredibly bad. Not the perks, but their gameplay:
- They catch multiple people repairing the same generator, easily applying pressure to multiple survivors. While I can only catch one Survivor at a time, and others would be popping gens after gens, because they are perfectly spread out.
- Their Survivors will keep repairing the generator until streamer comes to land a successful first hit, while mines would be long gone the moment they hear my Terror Radius.
- They will somehow immediately start a new chase after abandoning one, it turns out another Survivor were standing near to them without a purpose.
- Their Survivors will stumble to something while looping, giving a free M1.
- Their Survivors make stupid mistakes such as unintentionally sandbagging, resulting in multiple downs because somehow streamer was playing an instadown killer such as Bubba.
I simply don't get it. They have a lot more hours on this game, their "MMR" is probably a lot higher than mine, yet the Survivors the game decides to matchmake them with is just mindblowing. Its like they are playing this game on a seperate game mode.
I have 1600 hours. You can at least say I have a decent gamesense about DBD.

This
Not saying its a bad thing tho

people aren't gonna upload videos where they get destroyed.
Re: Why Generator Completion Might Feel So Fast Now
Hey, remember when killers argued that if you give them less pressure to tunnel, they wouldn't do it so much?
But your argument is that survivors genrush MORE when you give them less pressure.
Which is it?
Is anyone enjoying the recent releases of cosmetics?
I have been enjoying the cosmetics they have been releasing recently. I like all of the new skins they have been releasing, including the outfits they had months ago of the birthday outfits for the clown, chucky, dwight and claudette. and today I got the new Taurie cain skin that has a cool reactive color to it with a gas mask. Also the nurse skin. Hollis and his team at BHVR have really been doing a good job with the costume designs in the game. I'd like to know if anyone else has been enjoying the outfits as well or maybe you disagree and don't like them? feel free to share your opinions. But anyway, I look forward to all the future outfits Hollis and his team work on and release. Great job so far with the recent outfits.
Observations on 2v8 cage-pacing...
One thing that I have noticed in many 2 vs 8 scenarios is that once the survivors have an edge on the killers, killers run between hook spawning locations instead of checking gens to slow their progress or abandoning long chase more. I'm interested as to why this doesn't serve as evidence to support the OG cages that moved once the killer arrived at a cage. I know an argument was that people were about to die on hook when the cage was moved, but I don't remember that being a frequent enough occurrence to cause the change.
Re: Are gen kick perks like eruption even worth it anymore? Is anybody still using them?
No, the problem was never to defend the last 3 Gens, the problem was that Killers were 3-genning from the start. And since those Killers also decided to never commit chases and basically only stay in their 3-gen, it was indeed holding the game hostage.
And honestly, Killers got the better deal with the changes. They lost the ability to kick Gens an infinite amount of times and getting over the 8 Regression Events is something which almost never happens. But on the other hand they got a buff in Regression on the initial Kick and the removal of Gentapping. Things which happened in every game.
Re: Let us know what you think about 2v8's tonics!
losing a whole cage state for survivors vs 20 seconds haste for killers? That just negated all the time it took to find that survivor and an entire chase by removing a cage state. Either pick something less impactful for survivor or give the killer something better like see all auras for 30 seconds or everyone is exposed for 30 seconds. Make it comparable is all.
Re: Pallets broken after recent 2x8 update. Insane amounts of pallets added to all maps
Lemme hop in here for Mandy :) This is a known bug that's been resolved across most indoor maps. The team's still investigating and keeping an eye on it, though, as Midwich still seems to be encountering some spawn issues.
Greenville Square in 2v8 Needs Generator(s) In the Parking Lot
This entire quarter of the map is useless; there's not a single generator in it, which means the gen spread for the rest of the map is way closer together than normal.
Can this map get another pass, please?
