Saying that a Killer is weak or low Tier does not mean that you suddenly have fun against it. And I dont really understand why Otz goes down that route, he should know better.
Pig is one of the most obnoxious Killers to go against if they run a Hex-Build with Thrill and Face the Darkness. And in general it is not like people give up against the strong Killers. Like, I can have 50 games each with Billy, Nurse, Ghoul, Blight and Dracula and I guarantee you, the most times someone will give up is against Ghoul. Even if all of those 5 Killers are really, really strong and two are stronger than Ghoul.

ghoul, krasue, myers rework, the inclusion of auto-aim mechanics, the onslaught of heavy handed nerfs to survivor perks and addons, the destruction of loops and removal of inconvenient pallets, the abandonment of anti-slug, bare-minimum anti-tunnel, ignorance of match-making issues, and permission of killer oppressiveness have all culminated to the baby-ification and toddlering of the killer role.

She was due to her having good area control but other factors that made it possible are strong gen kick regression perks that stacked (eruption+CoB+overcharge), gens had no regression limit meaning nowdays you can damage gen only 8 times and then its bloked for you and immune to any regression (so you cant regressit) but back then this wasnt the case with strong kick gen regression perks that are nowdays former shadows of their glory and lastly 3 gen spawning which was more common back then and gens did spawn very close to each other creating nasty 3 gens, add skullmerchant to it with build that includes strong gen kick regression perks and fact that she can kick gens infinitely and regress them without any restriction and you get chess merchant.

There's a nerve wracking issue where many players are giving up mid-game. It feels like they still want to play, but the experience has become so miserable that instead of stepping away, they keep pushing through and hoping the next match will be better in a stale meta.

If I recall Mandy said they had no plans to tweak him cause devs thought he was in a good spot.
Which sucks cause he's the most hated easy S-Tier Killer and most miserable to go against and definitely needs nerfs.

Giving solo players additional information about their teams perks and a lesser kindred (no killer aura) or some other team info would dramatically improve the solo experience without providing any benefit swf doesn't already have. If those solo buffs effect kill rates we would then see buffs to the killer side to push the kill rates back to where bhvr wants them, those buffs could come in many forms with the most straightforward being additional gen time or regression buffs.

Even if we accept that tunnelling will always be in the game, it could at least become a legitimate part of the game and be balanced like one.
