Re: New anti-tunneling changes... what's the point? Where's the penalty?
Okay lets see according to the upcoming PtB changes:
Survivor Gets 30s of 10% Haste, Endurance, Elusive, 10s of Aura Reading within 32m of the Killer, that ignores undetectable, every unhook, and also Anti Slug/Anti Camp.
Compared to Killer getting 15s of 4.8% speed through T1 Bloodlust that gets removed if they enter a chase, or use their powers, so if Ghostface breathes or Trapper places a trap they lose that negligible buff, and a BP bonus on unique hooks.
Surv Gets 3 Basekit Perks (OTR, Babysitter, Wicked but ignores Undetectable), and Elusive (Every Unhook), and Anti Slug/Anti Camp.
VS
15s of a Worse Bloodlust (doesnt even work in chase) and BP. (Only on Unique Hooks)
I mean you can compare the two quite clearly.
This upcoming PTB entirely benefits Survivor and gives nothing to Killer except a BP bonus for unique hooks.
Its a bit entitled to be demanding the Killer also get punished for… Killing? ontop of all this.
Re: This video is enough proof that this game is done for
So… you made an account…
Post a Video… and say this game is done?
No Arguments? Nothing?
Re: Can you please rework Spine Chill already?
It's definitely a perk that is in desperate need of a new niche. It obviously can't go back to what it was before, but there are definitely directions it can go- I've had two in mind before.
The first is to lean into its current effect. Shorten the list of things it affects to just healing, unhooking, totem cleansing, and maybe exit gate opening, then crank the % number up, and shorten the range for it to affect. That would make it a "finish this action in the killer's face" perk, with the main action it doesn't affect being repair, because that would be busted.
The second is to give it a new niche entirely. Nix everything it currently does, and have it light up if your aura is being read, alongside a small thematic effect mostly so it scales with perk tiers like suppressing grunts of pain for a few seconds or something. Basically the aura-tracking of Object without revealing your own aura, purely information.
Whatever avenue they take, though, it definitely needs some changes.
Re: Please don't bring back this event ever again
It's been rough, yeah. I've played it for the Quest cosmetics but if they had been for characters I don't use I don't think I would have bothered.
Re: Scott Jund says the new patch is one sided...Devs confused...
I think he's right but I'm not sure one-sided is the right way to describe it. It does nearly nothing to make survivors lives easier in the face of boring gameplay, while also doing nearly nothing to actually discourage that boring gameplay or reward the more fun alternatives. It's, like, no-sided. It's joining the war on boring gameplay, on the side of the boredom
Re: Why do they never address why killers actually tunnel ?
People tunnel because it's the path of least resistance to a win. It's been happening since I first started playing, and its continued to happen through aaalll the different metas and all the nerfs and all the buffs, and it will continue to happen always. Nowadays, with the SBMM system, it helps push players into higher MMR brackets before theyre ready to compete at that level, which is why so many players feel they "need" to tunnel to get results. My advice is always to cop your losses and stay in a suitable MMR bracket. Everyone wants to reach high MMR, and yet everyone simultaneously hates competitive/sweaty opponents lol that's literally who you find up there
Re: The Ultimate Pig Main Wishlist
Pig deserves better... apparantly we're not even allowed to have our RBT in the lobby no more, as it missing has been deemed "not a bug"... 😭😭😭
;🐽;
Re: Dbd NEEDS to make new/casual players happy to survive long term
The biggest proof that you are wrong: DbD itself. Being one of the less noob-friendly games out there by design, it has survived with a stable playerbase for 9 years.
One of the others biggest proofs that you are wrong: World of Warcraft. The game started losing players by the million the moment they started to cater to those that "played it for funsies after a hard day at work or whatever" instead of those that spent their time learning the game and grinding.
Should the game be more accessible to new players? Totally. Should the game focus on the casual players that don't want or can't put in the time needed to gain the knowledge and skill required to be good in a PvP game? Absolutely not.
Re: The undervaluing of hook counts by players
Why? Because the game "win" condition is based on kills not hooks and thats big deal, you can have 6 hooks or 5 and get 1-2 kills and it will look better that having 8 hooks and 4 survivors are out.
Like trutalent said in 2022 or maybe even earlier, the game is so hard with tunneling, sluging because its based on kills not hooks, if the game win condition for killer was based on hooks and it didnt matter if survivors escape people would play for hooks and thing like proxing survivor entering second stage would be more common than tunneling but the killers objective is to get kills not as many hooks and here we are in 2025 the 2026 knocks on the doors and we still are in solving tunneling stage of the game.
Another thing is no mather what you do as killer tunnel one guy hard, kill all 4 survivors , kill 3 survivors and personaly give fourth one hatch, get 8 hooks and spare then on 4 gens and let then out there will be always someone toxic who will insult you as kill so thats just reality we live in.
Re: Abandon and stats
I'm sort of confused what the point is then?
Why give players stats that aren't an accurate reflection of how the game works? A player's displayed killrate on the stats website seems null and void to me if the game (like MMR) operates off of different numbers.
