Re: This IS BHVR
If we consider all of what you just said, then BHVR should have just put the Skin to 1080 ACs instead of 1485 ACs. With 1080 ACs you would see way less complaints.
And I dont think that any of the previously ported Mobile Skins has the same rarity, so your arguments dont really fit. Because Ascended Rarity (or whatever it is called) for 1485 ACs should give more than Ultra Rare for 1080 ACs.
Re: Possible vs. not possible killers 2v8
BHVR have gone on record in their most recent community stream to say that future 2V8 killers need to have a strong appreciation on both sides. So that means Killers with low pick rates / popularity are not going to make it into the mode. This makes sense I guess, because it would mean committing a lot of resources to adding a Killer to 2V8 that very few people would play anyway.
It shouldn't be that serious and I'd like for BHVR to add every Killer possible, regardless of their popularity. But that's just not the way the wider community views the mode, sadly. Hence why Legion got the chop, for being "unfun" for Survivors to face (I didn't think so but I know I'm in a minority).
Re: Nurse should’ve never been added to 2v8
2v8 is probably the only time I actually don't mind seeing Nurse because the Survivor class abilities give you some fighting power that's just not there in 1v4.
Not saying I think she's well designed, I just find 2v8 her to be relatively inoffensive in 2v8.
Re: Possible vs. not possible killers 2v8
I mostly agree with your "not possible" list, due to the technical challenges they'd have to overcome. Not unless they can find a way to make their interactables play nice with chest/tile spawns, anyway. But I think they will try with Alien, especially if we get another Disney/Fox licensed Killer. I also think Pig would be horrible to go against with a partner to harass Survivors off her Jigsaw Boxes (that play style is already pretty annoying when it's just her alone). Dredge might not be welcomed by 2V8 Survivors with his nightfall mechanic making maps difficult to navigate.
I still think they could've made Legion work if they'd tried a little harder and I will die on that hill but whatever, I've said my piece at this point (I honestly think they were fine as they were).
Ghoul, Doctor, Clown, Trickster, Skull Merchant, Knight, Plague and Singu have way too many haters and would be disqualified on that basis. Pinhead would join this list if BHVR still had the Hellrasier license.
Hag, Artist, Krasue, Twins and Houndmaster have pick rates that are far too low to consider.
That leaves Bubba, Demo and Unknown. I think all of these Killers would be easy enough to adapt and seem to be reasonably popular with both sides.
Add more quest Diversity.
The Quest Diversity in the game is extremely stale, We need other quest variations other then "Unhook, heal, hook, damage gen, hit survivor"
Bring back the older quests such as Glyphs and killer specific challenges but also make harder challenges
Older Quest Examples :
Re: Remove "Luck" as a Modifier.
Personally I'd like to see luck reworked for things like chests giving better items/addons, and heck maybe even a % chance a charge isn't used when using an item with an increased chance for fog vials or something.
It's an outdated mechanic when it comes to unhooking yourself, even more so since Deliverance is far more reliable.
Re: Hmmm All these buffed killers yet all I'm getting is Ghoul...
That’s DBD for you… release an insanely overturned killer, receive unanimous feedback from the community that they’re OP, do “quality of life” and “bug fix” updates that don’t actually address the core gameplay issues with said killer.
We’ve seen it previously… Spirit, Nurse, Blight. We’ve been saying Blight was broken for years and he only JUST got some actual meaningful changes.
On the flip side, Fast Track gets overtuned/buffed, feedback is given, and a matter of weeks later it gets addressed.
Re: How to balance nurse.
I honestly don't mind her in Lights Out where breaking line of sight is significantly more effective because she can't just erase your unique pathing with an aura like Predator
Re: How to balance nurse.
maybe we should do something special and disable auras on nurse. she has a bag over her head anyway
Re: Fast Track and perk activation requirements
Other part is many acknowledge (even when some people said this since 2020 I believe or 22 trutalent said this before he was kicked from fog whisperer program) over time that spreading hooks is way they want to killers objective go instead of tunneling or slugging but this perk is gutting this playstyle and pushes others into play like tunneling isnt so friendly nowdays because theres lot of perks to make it way harder so builds like this came into light
Two things:
- Why is the first and only solution to this problem -always- a survivor nerf? If they wanted this perk to not incentivize slugging, give it bonuses if a teammate is slugged. If they wanted this perk to not incentivize tunnelling, make it stack twice as fast if another survivor is dead. But the solution is always to dumpster the survivors.
- If they -really- gave a damn about tunnelling/slugging, they wouldn't have thrown in the towel on these issues with last year's updates. You can't pick-and-choose whether or not these playstyles are issues based on if it benefits the killers to think of them as such. People tunnelling and slugging is hammered down as being absolutely not an issue when it comes to nerfing killers, but it's critical priority when it comes to nerfing survivors. Like @ArcT says, it's just an FOTM nerf-call shopping around for an excuse. Just like the Distortion nerf.
