Re: I have to ask.
as a killer main, i do as i please. If i feel like slugging i will. Im not about being nice anymore.
Re: How to balance nurse.
Look I read it but giving counterplay isnt easy because it will either suck for killer like it is for xeno or it was for prebuffed larry or it will do little.
She is more suited for rework and giving counterplay is rework in its way because you have to add something new which falls in rework category in this game just like tricksters rework onlything thats new is the style idicators and s-rank but he had many of these things before people just didnt knew it same with mayers rework only swicthing between modes and his strike are new thing but everything he had before.
Re: Now that we know the killer will only be revealed after the first injury...
I dunno. I kinda feel that we already have enough info. We know when someone is getting chased, someone boon/breaking totems, doing gens (how far the progress is), healing a team mate and self healing. Maybe its not the lack of information and just not understanding what to do with the current information you have.
Re: survivor bashing content
A lot of what y'all are calling "bashing" is actually just fair criticism of players who are:
A) consistently breaking the game's rules (harassment and repeated disconnecting) and/or
B) blaming the game for their shortcomings and requesting balance changes based on their own lack of skill, knowledge, or understanding.
Yes, it's been dressed up with clickbait titles and thumbnails, but a lot of the content I've seen referenced here is actually pretty moderate and well-reasoned if you listen to them.
The reason there's been a spike in this content is because average Survivor skill is nearing an all-time low, but there's no desire from a lot of these players to actually improve. Instead, when they encounter hardship, a concerningly large % of the Survivor playerbase just disconnect or give up in the hopes that if enough matches are ruined, the developers will be forced to change whatever they dislike. These players saw how effective the "give up en masse" strategy worked with Skull Merchant and they've since extended it to any and all minor inconveniences, to the point that matches without give ups/trolling/disconnects are becoming increasingly uncommon.
They're not bashing Survivors per se, but rather the culture that has been created where constant giving up and harassment of your opponents is seen as normal and justified. Ragequitting is so common in DbD that the community even has their own euphemism for it to make it sound more acceptable (and overlook that it's actually a rulebreaking behaviour): "going next". It just so happens that the majority of players perpetuating these behaviours are Survivors, hence the titles, but these behaviours are certainly not exclusive to just them.
Re: If killer gets any worse, dbd will need killer bots or to start handing out iri shards or something
Killer can be difficult if you aren't used to it, and if youve not played killer for a couple of years you will be hella rusty. As for survivors cheating when you are close to winning? We'd need to see videos of it. I know an awful lot of players who will cry "cheat" whenever they do badly, it's human nature. So when I see someone on here saying about suspecting cheats I always take it with a pinch of salt. I'm NOT saying there aren't cheaters, there definitely are, but they aren't popping up in every other game. I just can't credit that you are coming across cheaters mostly when you're about to win
In my experience as killer, ( i play killer/surv roughly equally) i haven't been having too much trouble, results have been good mostly, and I can't say I've seen anyone I think is cheating.
My advice is get more practice in, take the losses on the chin and work to improve. Focus on one or two killers to get good with, the killer is only as good as the player.
For example I main demo, he's C tier according to most major streamers and commentators. But i absolutely clap with him most games, I'vespent hours and hours playing him, getting good at my shreds and his portal traversal and off stealth capabilities lend themselves to my preferred tactics. if pallets are frustrating you then play killers with solid anti loop and or quick pallet removal. Getting good with a mid tier killer will bring much better results than casually playing an A/S tier killer occasionally.
Re: Now that we know the killer will only be revealed after the first injury...
This would be a good idea since I'm an altruistic healer mainly I'm trying to keep my team healed so this would help my solo queue self
Re: If killer gets any worse, dbd will need killer bots or to start handing out iri shards or something
Decouple yourself with the requirement to win. Sometimes you're having a bad game, sometimes the survivors are having a good game. Not much you can do.
A lot of BM is just the survivors being excited that they got a good play and showboating a bit. Sometimes it's toxic but a lot of the time it's just cheeky. They may also be trying to bait chase because there's a more vulnerable teammate they want to protect.
I'm not going to comment on the lag or suspected cheats because without evidence of this it's hard to form a conclusion. I was certain a killer I was against was somehow lagging me out as it kept happening at the worst times, but it turns out my VPN was still on.
Can you confirm which killers you're playing that struggle so much with new pallet density?
Re: Rant: Myers is the most skillless and most unenjoyable killer to go against
While the word "outdated" is not really the ideal way to describe old him, you are right. Stealth being a toggleable choice was good, same with the buffs for Tier 2. The rest.... awful.
Will there ever be a Mac version of Dead by Daylight?
I recently got a good MacBook Pro, and im wondering whether there will ever be a Mac version of the game? it's so disappointing to me that you guys haven't worked at all to do this in your 10 years of existence. Dead by daylight is my favorite game and I was so excited to play it now that I had a good laptop that I knew could run it. I bought it on steam (I've never used steam before) and my heart dropped after I realized I literally couldn't play the game I PAID FOR because you aren't compatible with mac.
(Also your anti cheat disallows mac user from going through Windows emulators and at the same time doesnt stop cheaters? Im confused what its for at that point.)
