That Oni nerf did not do anything. He is still in his power for the entire match. I think he can work in 2v8 but he needs more than what you guys have done so far. This killer is by far the worst part of the survivor experience in 2v8 and the only killer I would say is actually problematic.
Re: How to balance nurse.
This is what I would want to see for her:
- Blindness status while charging blinks and while blinking (then gets removed when you go into fatigue). Given the Nurse's strength and that the only two main counters to Nurse are distance and breaking line of sight, breaking line of sight needs to remain a consistent form of counterplay against her. Auras are too disruptive to this in a way that no other killer has and there needs to be a limitation on this without having to nerf perks for other killers.
- Stuns reset blink charges to 0; recharging begins at the end of the stun
- Fatigue no longer grants immunity to stuns
- Addons:
- Fragile Wheeze (Mangled addon) reduced to 60 seconds to bring it into line with lower-end addons of this type (was 70 seconds)
- Bad Man's Last Breath (Undetectable addon) reduced to 20 seconds (was 25 seconds) and cooldown increased to 60 seconds (was 45 seconds). As is, this is just active a little too often especially for how strong this killer is
- Rework the following addons (for being too strong or unfair design): Heavy Panting (I know this just got nerfed but lunge increase for Nurse still shouldn't exist at all), Matchbox (4.4 speed fundamentally breaks the killer and is the worst possible version of her design-wise, even with only 1 blink), Torn Bookmark (3 blinks will never be balanced or fair regardless of whatever downside it has)
- Rework the following addons (for being useless/negative utility): White Nit Comb, Dull Bracelet

Yeah. Either by adding stuff to the Skin or by adjusting the price (and compensate those who already bought it).
Possible vs. not possible killers 2v8
Just thinking out loud here.
While many would like every killer available, some come with problems.
Not possible due to stations (and licenses):
Alien, Pig, Springtrap, Vecna, The First, Onryo, Pinhead, The Nightmare, The Shape.
Reason: Coding the stations for all the larger custom maps would just create more bugs and would be a huge undertaking for each character. And they simply can't add new content for licenses they no longer have.
(Vecna's chests are effectively stations)
Should never add due to exploitation of power:
Legion, Plague, The Cannibal, Twins, Ghoul.
Reasons:
Legion and Plague have the same problem with more targets. It allows them to almost use their power infinitely. It effectively makes everyone a one hit down. Also, Plague's stations would be a coding problem.
The Cannibal, and Twins would just recreate the slugging issue such as Legion + Oni. They would just slug everyone while the teammate would be on clean up. These create impossible situations for survivors.
Ghoul would just be miserable with so many targets. It would just be Legion version 2.0. Ghoul + Oni, no thanks.
Possible 2v8 killers: Doctor, Clown, Demidog, Hag, Trickster, Artist, Knight, Unknown, Singularity, Krasue, Houndmaster, Skull Merchant.
Main Reason: Their power isn't dependent on a station that has to be coded. However, there are a few problems.
The random spawn of the Krasue's mushrooms would be a coding issue and her power would be useless, effectively forcing her to target a single player to hook.
Hag is weaker than Trapper so I'm not going there.
Singularity is an outlier. While his power requires setup, it could be effective, although he would need more cameras, which would could slow him down. Not sure about this one. To many variables.
Skull Merchant would also need more drones but, that's an easy enough add. Although, it could turn into the reason why she got nerfed. So again, on the fence with this one.
Doctor, Clown, Demidog, Trickster, Artist, Knight, Unknown, Houndmaster, I don't see particular problems with in 2v8.
Although, I really can't stand speed clown. And a shadow speed clown would be horrid to play against.

I think her main problem is she doesn’t have counterplay. For years it’s just double back and lose LOS is so nonengaging for dbd standards.

when comparing prenerfed fast track to coup degre or mostly fire up, which are arguments people make here a lot and it has only one thing simular to fast track and thats how the perks power is obtained but in terms of power crep these two are nowhere near.
Because people argue that the concept of old Fast Track, getting value for when the other side progresses their objective, shouldn't exist in the game. Others, rightly, point out that this already exists.
The idea that Fast Track is too strong is a different argument.
The idea that the specifics of how Fast Tracks work being bad for game design is another different argument.
To go back to your bike and car example - yes, the two things are very different, but if someone says that no one should move faster than a human can walk or run, that applies to both a bike and a car. It becomes embarrassing when people keep going back to the original argument when they mean something different. If people want to argue something other than the concept, they should discuss that.
It's not the fault of the person who observes that out that the originator of the point made a bad argument. People made really bad arguments about why Fast Track was a problem, which wouldn't be that big of an issue if BHVR didn't follow the poor logic.

The main problem with Nurse is that Nurse is allowed to exist like she is in the first place. Not that she is in 2v8. This is different from Legion, who is fine power-wise, but not suited for 2v8.
If you remove Nurse from 2v8, you would still have that character that does not play DBD. Even tho it would be nice to have a mode where you would not face Nurse, IMO all Killers which can be added without causing problems should be added to 2v8. And Nurse is one of them.

I don't mind her tbh. Makes a nice break from all the Onis and Wraiths. But her new skin makes some weird noise that gives me a horrible headache, and every nurse I've seen is wearing it
