Re: So, could we get an official update on earlier discussed topics?
This is sounding like the typical 3 to 5 business year goal.
Re: So, could we get an official update on earlier discussed topics?
I don't see how that refutes my point at all. If things are said and then never addressed again, and when asked about it we're told there aren't "any specifics", then is it not literally that it won't happen until it does? This has been the model for years now. It's nothing new.
Re: I ain't playing Trapper bro.
He is the only killer who needs Both Red Addons just to function as a killer against remotely decent survivors.
Alan Wake in Phasmophobia! Let’s go!
I got excited and had to share!
Such a spooky game.
Re: So, could we get an official update on earlier discussed topics?
I can appreciate why it reads that way, but I also have a duty to manage expectations as things are worked on. I don't want to deliver hope and then take it back a month from now. Timelines can shift, and right now there isn't any specifics to share.
Re: So, could we get an official update on earlier discussed topics?
I'm not refuting, I just don't think it's a wholly accurate translation. I appreciate the opportunity to give clarity on my intention. ❤️
Re: So, could we get an official update on earlier discussed topics?
This is something I hope for for years. You can scrap so many Bloodweb Items by removing Offerings (especially Map Offerings, they 100% need to go) and combininig Survivor Add Ons.
But sadly it only got more over time.
Re: Why aren't perks that are used by majority of players made into base kit?
It's more just has to do with how BVHR has every character have 3 teachable perks. I think what would help a lot if the Shrine of Secrets was expanded to have more perks available to purchase considering the game has over 200 perks on both sides.
Also I don't really like the ideal of perks working different depending on character chosen especially for survivors. Killers already sort of filter out perks based on how well they synergize with their power, but for survivor it would just create meta survivors based on which characters get the chosen bonuses to their perks.

Translation: They're not happening until they do.
Re: Why aren't perks that are used by majority of players made into base kit?
The answer to your topic question is simple. The power creep would be crazy.
The most used perks for survivor is things like windows, dead hard, sprint burst, decisive etc. To make any of those base kit would ruin any sense of balance.
Same if you make the most popular killer perks such as Pain Resonance, Grim Embrace, Eruption, DMS etc. base kit.
You have to consider that not only will these effects now always be in play, people will be able to stack even more strong, but not as used, perks on top.
