Re: How I would nerf Blight (before BHVR gets ready to rework him)
I politely dislike your idea. Blight would become Wesker with higher turning rate.
Trust me, you wouldn't want to go against a Blight with 70% turn rate, even if it becomes weaker than he already is. Would be a Kaneki with more steps.
To me, his problems lies on him being 4.6 and having speed addons. Maybe if the was turned into 4.4 and had another addon pass (removing the speed addons) Blight would be in a much better spot than he is now.
But, to be honest? To me, i don't have an issue with Blight. Its more rare than anything to go against a good Blight these days that i don't mind having a killer with this strength. Those of us who survived the Mother's Daughter Ring + Amulet era can withstand anything haha
Re: How I would nerf Blight (before BHVR gets ready to rework him)
His cooldown would still need to be significantly reduced. the problem with him using only 2 tokens and getting a hit is that he'll get his power back in 4 seconds, which isn't fair at all. Assuming your suggestions were his basekit, he should have a set cooldown of 8 seconds for getting a lethal rush hit. If all this was his power, Blight wouldn't be at all problematic
How I would nerf Blight (before BHVR gets ready to rework him)
It is without a doubt that Blight is the most hated Killer for having some of the worst impact on the game's health and design as a whole. Some people would argue Nurse is because she is stronger, but Nurse has surprisingly had a more benign effect on game design by introducing more Line of Sight blockers in Maps (which does increase Skill Expression in the game as it allows for more mindgaming to be done) whereas Blight mandated the much maligned Pallet Density update because he eats through so many pallets with his power alone, necessitating so many garbage pallets as well as pallet chains. Both of these are hated by both Survivors and Killers because the former feels so useless in Chase while the latter forces the Killer to waste so much time breaking pallets that would make life difficult for Killers susceptible to them. While the best nerf to Nurse would be to simply disable aura-reading during her power, Blight would need a different approach.
One of the strongest things about Blight is how having 5 bounces not only gives him 5 opportunities to hit a Survivor, but also how each successive bounce makes him faster. This level of mobility is not only absurd, but extremely versatile. It allows for a Blight player to do pretty much anything from crossing the map in no time, win chase and put immense pressure on Survivors. Here is a change I would ask for:
● 5 charges —> 2 charges
● Increase the duration of each Rush by 5 seconds
● Increase the turn rate during Rush by 70%
WIth these changes proposed, Blight would have a reduced power ceiling, but the skill floor would also be released; by reducing the charges, Blight's overall map mobility becomes greatly reduced and his speed becomes much more reactable to Survivors. In addition, less Charges means that loops become more difficult for Blight to navigate. But, the increased duration and the increased turn rate makes playing Blight much more forgiving for less experienced players to pick up and play. This ultimately would bring Blight down to a more appropriate level, but the buffs to his Skill Floor would keep him away from being a garbage-tier Killer. He would still be strong as 2 charges is still good enough to end a good number of Chases on its own (especially with better turning), but he would not be as oppressive for Survivors to face as he would no longer have the mobility to move across the map faster than Killers like Dredge and Springtrap with the letality of having 5 rushes blindsiding Survivors before they can respond.
Thoughts on these suggestions?
Re: Damn playing a low tier killer is Horrible right now.
You won't be satisfied with any way I address it. I went overboard and fessed up, I do not care if that isn't enough for you. Of all the things in this game "high mmr" (cause you totally know for sure) swf is the least different to the others and the entire time I was trying to uplift solos, who you underestimate.
Every counter to ghouls counters involve ghoul predicting if a player will do it or not. Thats called counter adaptation its not a counter to a counter lol.
Exactly man, get good. Killers expect survivors to win 50/50's with ease and regularity, so all you have to do is the same.
High mmr is high level play wether you like it or not.
Matchmaker doesn't care above the soft cap and will happily pair players with leagues different skill, that isn't a competitive match or high level play. You are literally arguing for us to take the 210 Trapper winstreak seriously and compare it to the 202 survivor winstreak, every killer is getting nerfed.
Re: Where are the Killer POV questions?
I didnt really notice a bias as i thought the questions asked which killers YOU play and what your thoughts on their balance are. So naturaly i chose xeno, dracula, and foe the killer i have experience in but dont play anymore - sadako.
i asked for xeno to be reworked as the turret/tail gameplay has no middle balance, only people getting mowed down because there arent any turrets or bad placement, or the killer can barely catch anybody because they all run to the safe zone with turrets everywhere.
For dracula hes a strong killer whos main strength os adaptability but requires skill+precision+a sense of when to switch forms, so i figure hes balanced. But his addons standout as worthless especially the 2 reds, and cube of zoe. So i proposed alucards shield block the exit if someone gets hit with a pillar, as it sounds like a strong addon but you waste the slot for the whole game for them to run past the funny light show 90% of the time, even if hit. For the iri ring instead of curving pillars just widen them, and cube of zoe reworked to spawn pillars around all generators when one gets completed - avoidable but higher chance of atleast hitting something as ive seen the cube in use many times an only seen it hit like twice.
For sadako i proposed reworking condemned so that its more of a natural occurance that effects everyone by the endgame rather than being something the killer spams to avoid hooking at all. Like each generator adds permanent stacks and being hit with tapes adds temporary stacks or something. I stopped liking her to play as once she became a spammer.
Re: Is The First OP?
- No, maybe you didn't read that right. I'm saying to leave everything as is, just speed up the "clock process" for survivors, so his "guaranteed m2" timer isn't affected at all. Also, unlike any other killer, New Vecna is the only one who pauses his m2 timer while hooking someone... so he can make his hook with complete peace of mind, without fear of wasting a single second of time. Let's just say it's clear that this is a licensed killer.🤣
Re: A Simple Mechanic to Stop Tunneling and Camping for Good
Because camping and tunneling aren't fun or healthy for the game. This change only protects the unhooked survivor for a brief moment and doesn’t give the person doing the unhooking any advantage. You can still mess up the save or get punished for it. The fact you're asking why survivors shouldn’t get even a chance to escape this toxic playstyle kind of proves my point — it only threatens people who rely on it.
Re: MMR REWORK Questions and Opinions.
Why? Is it because they are finally playing against people of equal skill level and therefore failing to get even 10 wins in a row? Unimportant really. If anything, a stricter MMR would make winstreaks more interesting to watch because then they would be winning against actually good players.
Eddies Guitar on Bardic Inspiration
Just thought it could be cool that if you played Bardic Inspiration on Eddie he could use his guitar with which he plays in the lobby. Would be a small but pretty cool detail and possibly get more people to buy the skin.
Re: MMR REWORK Questions and Opinions.
They need to. Last time I played I was with my extremely casual friends. (like a few hundred hours.) We literally got matched with Momo in one of our games. There's bad matchmaking and then there is this. Bowing down to content creators IMO is one of the worst things about the current state of the game.
