Maybe the "why" survivors are disconnecting often.

The raise of DC's became a issue, just check the forums, people are asking for more punishment but don't try even understand why it's happening.

We know that a lot of new people came along with the stranger things DLC.

At first, I thought that was the sole reason for the raise of dc/hooksuicide.

But.. if the survivor is thinking: "Well, such unfair match, no chance of escape, no hope, not even fun, why should I keep playing that.."

Soo, Don't you think there is a link between how the game is being balanced and the amount of disconnects?

I've seen global dconns but not dconns where a person leaves w/o them actually purposefully leaving. Haunted Ground. 'spawned too close to the killer'. 'quick down'. I'm averaging about 1-2 dconns nearly every game recently and it's time for DBD to institute a dconn cooldown just like CSGO has. Losing a pip isn't enough punishment for these quick dconns

First cooldown (level 1) - lasts 30 minutes

Second cooldown (level 2) - lasts 2 hours

Third cooldown (level 3) - lasts 24 hours

Fourth cooldown (level 4) - lasts 1 week

Indeed, I agree with that suggestion.

Btw not just csgo but others games also, like dota 2 for example (or any competitive game).

Take away DCs from people by banning them and they will just run into killer and kill themself on the hook. And killer may be aware of what they are doing and leave the slug on the ground, letting it bleed out or be picked up for more hit points. Temporary bans are not really a solution, they would just increase overall toxicity of the game.

Instead, after survivor DCing, game should adapt to 3vs1 gameplay SOMEHOW, but I'm going to be honest here - i have no idea how to achieve it. Maybe increase the speed of fixing a generator by 25% for each DC? But that would be problematic if someone would DC while getting hanged for 3rd time in trial - unjustified buff for other survivors.

It's getting annoying, now if im killer or survivor and see as DC in the first few mins ill just give up. Its not fun playing an imbalanced game. You have always had some babies that DC because they got downed, but it has seemed to increase.

Mabey its because they are tracking it now, so people assume softbans/timeouts are coming so they get the most out of it?

I'm hoping the Archives will try and improve some players enough, its incredibly frustrating to see so many killers and survivors that seem to want to put no effort into getting better.

From what I've seen, there is actually a DC bug going on right now, with the game. I've seen countless threads on the forums, reddit and on Discord servers of people stating that they've been disconnected for no reason at all.

Not sure if this is true or not, but it's happened a few times to me. I'd be in the middle of a trial and then boom. Disconnected. Internet has always seemed to be working just fine when it's happened. I just live with it and move on since it doesn't happen very often at all. It's an online game. Crap happens.
