The rift is too grindy

Definitely a fair point, nobody is spending $1000 worth of cosmetics, and if you are killer main you will only be buying killers most likely, each killer costs 500 Auric Cells, so $5 per killer, meaning if you buy the base game at $20, every killer DLC will cost you $60, costing you about $80 total. Again, not realistic to assume you will buy every DLC, but I guess my point is that BHVR is becoming more greedy with their microtransactions.
They advertised that there would be significantly less outfits that only cost Auric Cells, but compared to the amount of Iridescent Shard outfits, they are nearly equal, if not more plentiful that Iridescent Shard only outfits, hell, Hillbilly doesn't have a single Very Rare outfit available for Shards. Now they have the Rift, which again, they advertised that everyone would be able to complete the Rift by only playing for about an hour a day, but surprise surprise, that clearly isn't the case and they want you to buy your way through the Rift if you want to unlock everything.

I don't see BHVR as greedy at all. You have to realize that this game is over 3 years old and is still growing. They have to find ways to make money to support this growth. They are finding ways to do that without forcing anyone to buy anything which is great. Many companies wouldn't bother with new updates, they would just come out with a new game each year and force everyone to buy a new copy or stop playing once they shut down the old servers. Saying that the game and every killer dlc is a lot at $80 is slightly misleading because that was spread out over 3+ years, and you don't need every dlc to enjoy the game. If someone is just now starting dbd, they can slowly pick and choose what killers they want to add and not have to drop $80 at once.

They should cut the shards required by 5. 10 is way too much. This game is already frustrating, and playing about 15 games per day is asking we to die. I knew that since they announced the pass it would be a big sheet.
