New rank versus derank system

Bottom line-I wont pip past level 16 anymore. I will intentionally derank if I have to stand in front of killer and let him hit me. Reasoning-The games are NOT fun NOR are they balanced beyond level 14, its just camping killers or hook rush survivors. Until its more balanced this new forced rank system sucks IMO...

And since you implemented this stupidity, we cant derank past 15?????? Ive been stuck at 15 the past 4 deaths. Revert it back. Sinking your own ship with this one.

Especialy since there are no rewards for your rank. (or at least i think so)
so really only tryhards are on the high and for fun players are high.

Point is they failed to implement balance before doing this and done it mid season. Which means TONS of players dcing during matches. I now have 24 screenshots in the past hour of only two of us to one of me left in matches. Hell, even Killers are dcing. The matches are not fun when this is an ongoing issue they have failed to resolve or implement any type of MEANINGFUL penalties. The math had never added up

Last time I checked OPEN feedback forum......Only bullying going on is the ranking system. While most will shutdown with posts, I don't and respond approrpriately…..

Did you rank up piggybacking off higher ranked players /lower ranked players and ended up out of your league in a swf group?bc you don’t solo your way up without skill, you stay in your area. I’m just saying. When you mix ranks and keep winning you end up in places you don’t belong.

LOL, I see both sides as I player both killer and survivor so most have a valid case usually..... I think IMO that its about balance and that's it. Once its more balanced be better.

Nothing says balance like DCing to keep bullying noobs for zero in-game rewards.  Does making the game a miserable experience for noobs make you feel better about how pathetically bad you are at this game? 

I hear Civ 5 has some great cheat codes..

Deranking won't help you get away from the issues you're facing. Truly, they need to do something to address the hook rushing/farming and the camping, but that isn't done quite yet and you may need to consider sitting out until they do fix it. It may never happen. They've spoken about tweaking how people will get point so that farming is less rewarding, point-wise. There's at least that. Playing with randoms is kinda a nightmare right now, though, due to all the rage quits/early dcs and the hook rushing. Ruins the game for the rest of the team and can make for very quick games that aren't very much fun.

I got to rank 11 surv only after great pains and many, many games. Yesterday in the short span of a few games i am rank 16 and about to hit 15. Why is it that all of a sudden as surv i am able to rank up no problems at all when before it was an honest struggle to rank up when i wanted to? My playstyle did not change. I dont pallet loop buty do use jungle gyms.

It seems to me that the dev's are trying hard to force people to rank up to 15 and get stuck there. I am still the sucky surv i was before. I am a god on gens, hiding and some limited juking as long as i find a jungle gym. Out in the open i am dead meat. But since this patch i am very freq the last man standing. This was not so much the case before. Before this patch i would get out a fair amount of times. Id die more than id get out but now i notice that i hardly ever get out but i rank up fairly easy. Far more easy than before for sure.

I dont like this ranking system at all. Especially now that once you reach a certain threshold you are doomed to keep playing people who are far better than you. Nothing wrong with a loss. But a loss after a loss after a loss after a loss after a loss after a loss after a loss gets old really fast.

I do think that people are trying to stay out of the below 15 rank thresh-hold where they cannot derank anymore. I dont want to go there. I can kiss any sort of fun good bye. As killer and surv.

Get rid of ranking altogether. I would rather take my chances with a bunch of "randoms" than knowing i will face nothing but people who are far, far better than i. That is when the fun stops and people leave.

I’m assuming they changed the ranking system Bc the higher rank lobbies were harder to fill for killers so they made it easier for survivors to rank.

I total agree, which again falls into the balance. All their new ranking system has done is escalate the problems....most matches tonight alone have not even been worth joining, because one or two dc or get dcd at start of match so we have 5 gens to get done three people get into match, killer just camps in front of hook or survivors hook rush stupidly resulting in everyone dead. I really want to give devs an encyclopedia to show them the definition of balance..
