Unless those survivors were trolling, or the DC just really screwed them over, you must be a very good Killer. I enjoy playing Ghostface, but even with 4 powerful perks geared toward his playstyle I have difficulties getting 4K's with him in Green Ranks. And that's after learning and watching from YouTube videos of players that are good with him.

Yep, I think that he can stealth at full speed is a mistake, his movement speed should be the same as Myers in t1, and crouching speed the same as Pig. Also crouching transition should be longer. And his CD add-ons are overused, people don't even stalk anymore because of them. Those add-ons should restore some fixed amout of ability when ghostface stalks people, not just "because"!

Sorry for forgetting to block out the players names. They were decent players and may have won if the bottom survivor didn't quit.

I think the DC screwed them over.
4 -
Ironical that DCd person also was the highest rank. My guess that it wasn't on purpose?
2 -
Simmer down everyone. Everyone knows Freddy is next, then Billy. Ghostface can be third in line.
3 -
Ghostface can teabag. Devs Ghostface is too OP plz nerf.
11 -
Yes, teabagging ruins survivor fun REEEEEEEEEE!
11 -
GhostFace can move, he is overpreforming REEEEE
14 -
I think it will be freddy that is overperforming after spirit.
3 -
Oh no he isn't like the other two stealth killers and is unique because of it? NeRf hiM!!!
2 -
How is he broken XD jesus christ

Cause all it takes is one streamer to say "wow this killer is pretty good" and then the killer automatically starts overperforming. :D
12 -
"GhOsTFacE tOp 3"-Truetalent

I don't think he's broken, I think he's mediocre.

BHVR looks at video
"Looks like Ghostface is overperforming, some slight tweaks may be needed" ;)
11 -
Ghostface no longer stalks survivors.
2 -
Agreed... 100%

Nerf. You are the killer you can't get a 4k
0 -
- Ghostface's kill rate has gone up by 20% after this change.
2 -
Ever heard of a joke?
0 -
im main killer, i would put /s when i said that? i was joking

I can't tell if this is a joke or not but I really hope so. Ghostface is such an average killer. He isn't stellar like Nurse but he isn't Leatherface levels of bad either. He doesn't need any nerfs or buffs. The only changes he needs if any is refining his wonky detection when revealing him.

Spirit literally got changed yesterday. Why haven't people been crying about Ghostface the whole time, seeing as how there haven't been any major changes to him? No clue
1 -
Spirit hasn't been changed yet, that's just preview for the upcoming Chapter. Not that this will make people stop going after Spirit, most of the changes won't matter too much and she'll still be strong. But now you'll have survs saying that standing still is an outplay, because they can do it.

I know this is supposed to be a joke but I've seen a few of these.
One 4K does not mean they're over performing, if everyone was doing this consistently then it may be a problem, as for now - it isn't.
2 -
Well yeah I meant her changes got revealed, not that they're implemented. Bad word choice lol my bad.

I get more 4ks with ghostface over a killer like hag, or nurse. Just because I am not as good with them. If I can pick the map, they are screwed, something like haddonfield though, they had a decent advantage over you. My guess; the DC screwed them over on that, otherwise with the openness of the map and the hitboxes being broken on fences allowing you to be revealed, they should have won. They were more than likely memeing that game or just straight didn't care past the DC

He can feel OP when you stare right at him and crappy detection + dedicated servers means you don't reveal him then get exposed.
At the same time, Ghostface can be revealed behind walls and other structures because of the same things I listed.
Both scenarios are pretty DC worthy IMO.

While I disagree Ghostfact is top 3, he is indeed a strong killer. Top 5 possibly. He is hands down the best stealth killer in the game because he can chase and attack while in stealth. His strength really comes from being able to scramble survivors and force them into positions where they can see him coming, which is usually away from objectives. He generates indirect map pressure by putting survivors on edge, not knowing where he is or if he is nearby (compared to direct pressure of Billy or Nurse than can just move around faster and be on top of you very quickly regardless of where you are on the map).
Really try the anti-heal build on Ghostface. Sloppy, Thana, Nurse's. I do Dying Light for my 4th but Ruin or Corrupt Intervention work too. Just use the stealth aspect of his power. Don't stalk except as a means to find/track survivors (ie. do not to actually mark them). You will see how strong he can be.

Tell me you're joking
2 -
So he's viable with one build and should only use half his power. Such a good and well designed killer.....

It amazes me that a killer being op in some way is the biggest issue when we should he focusing on hit boxes. Plus he's not op if you learn how to play against him. I've run circles around players at high ranks as a survivor. Playing him is easy too just bring chewed pen and another addon, can't remember the name, and you're golden. Perks for him don't matter.

With the current ranking system, I don't think we really can judge if a killer is overperforming due to the huge gap between player skill at red ranks, and the fact that not all of them are swf. It'd be entirely disingenuous to try to make an ideal average with the current state of how the game determines "skill." I hope this will be remedied properly with the upcoming rank rework by judging on results instead of the actions in game which may or may not affect your result.
In my opinion, we'd ideally take the result of how many kills a killer gets and how many escapes a team gets, so say if a killer 4ks, he clearly did something to win against the opposing team and therefore should be placed higher than those survivors, while for survivors if they 3 escape, they did something collectively and still won, so even that one death should be rewarded a pip because they contributed to that 3-escape. You win as a team on survivor, not alone.

I would imagine 3 on average is when questions start to get asked. Do you find that kill rates vary for certain killers depending on rank, or do they stay consistent across rank? For example, does Doctor average more kills at green and fall off at red, or is that just a kill rate thing in general with many killers?
2 -
If we have to use kill averages to determine i'd personally say 3?
You should be balancing killers with the survivors being above average in mind. Bad survivors are around in all ranks inflating the killers numbers.
Ranks aren't tied to specific killers which also will make some killer numbers lower than they should be. I could get to rank 1 as billy then lose a lot in a row as trapper.
Being at 50% or 60% would actually be a bad sign at high levels.

He has a few viable builds, just this one is clearly the meta one for him.
1 -
Correct me I'm incorrect, but I'm pretty sure t1 Myers is slower den piggy while crouching.
1 -
Pig crouch is 3.68.
Myers is 4.2 at tier 1.
2 -
Myers is 105% in tier 1
1 -
No he is not

You're asking the wrong question.
The problem is the Emblem system. It is not set-up in a way that every match always has a loser side and a winner side; sometimes both sides can win (pip) or lose (black pip, negative pip).
In a perfect world 2 kills should be a good average to strive for, but the emblem system doesn't give a damn about the kills. you can get 1 kill but max out on all other emblems and still pip, or get 3 kills and still black pip because the game went too fast.
You guys need to take a look at how "winning" and "losing" is determined before saying stuff like "over-performing" and making changes to either side.

Averaging a 4k that's where it becomes problematic... 3k is just doing well.
1 -
I think killer should be balanced around a feast or famine playstyle that averages a 2K.
For example: Here's an example of a feast or famine killer.
0K
4K
2K
0K
4K
4K
0K
0K
4K
2K
This is what I want killers to be based around, every killer should have the potential to 4K if the player played perfectly but everything goes down hill if the player makes a few mistakes. ??

im sorry but 1 match don't speak for the mayority. if you 4k or get totally humiliated in 1 match, it will not speak for everybody...

Well, the same way the team made the decision to nerf spirit.
I do want to mention what a “viable” killer means to the community. A viable killer can be used against any type of survivor. Even against the most sweaty toxic clicky click flashlight SWF 4 man teams. The potential in a killer that can take down almost any level of survivor if played well. Now ofc, any killer can get a 4k, however to reproduce results on a consistent basis shows viability. Therefore then the Dev team swoops in and says “Not todayyyyyy” and “Nerf” the viable killer.
Just want to leave this for the dev team to see. (If they even do outside of @Peanits )

Sorry but you're taking this post too seriously.

What about SWF?
They've been over performing ever since. Are there any plans to bring them close to Solo levels?
