Is ZANSHIN TACTICS a good perk for killer?

The auras of all pallets and vaults locations are revealed to you within a 24 meter range.
When a survivor is damaged, this perk becomes incative for 40 seconds.
Is it useful to know the location of pallets and windows when I play a killer?

Probably, I can see this being kinda useful for Huntress. But even so I wouldn't waste a perk slot just for that.

Actually yes. It'll help gauge how much time you'll waste in a section or if the survivors are running into a dead zone.

I'd say it depends. If you're newer to the game, it'll probably help you learn. If you're on a map like Lery's or The Game, being able to see where the pallets are and zone survivors away from them would probably give you a huge leg up.

Considering YOU are the one chasing these survivors you should know whats been dropped and not. I think this perk will be the "Windows of opportunity" for killers, only helpful for learning a new map as a new killer player.

I don't think that it'll be very useful at all. The only way I see it being helpful is if you are good enough at getting the information and forcing the survivors to run to a different spot in the map. Like to make sure they have to drop their current pallet when you're on the side that cuts off the next part of the map that you also know contains a pallet.
But most likely it won't be very useful. It's not like it's super hard for a survivor to see pallets from a far distance as well.

I dunno, maps like Hawkins beg to differ.

Lery's was the same way when it first came out. Once people start to understand Hawkins it won't be a problem. I haven't played the map too many times as killer but I know as a survivor I never struggle to find where pallets spawn, so as a killer it wouldn't be too difficult to just keep track of the ones I break.
Hawkins in just a big rectangle and once you understand this you can really easily track where each room is located.

It's a good beginner perk. Usefull, when you are new to the game. But you will drop it as soon as you get experienced in exchange for better perks.

I see it useful for new players and learning maps. Other than that it's not gonna be taking up a perk slot for me

It would be nice if they added something else to it. As it stands now it's not worth carrying for anyone who isn't new to the game or learning a new map. I wouldn't recommend Windows of Opportunity but I'd say it's more slightly useful for survivors than this is for killers.

For newer players? Sure. Experienced ones will know where they are anyway, if not the exact spawns.

It's a baby killer perk. Helps you learn maps, but fairly useless once you know what you're doing.

So, I expect this perk will get a buff in the future. I really hope because I think this is the worst killer perk or one of the worst.

Might be ok for Trapper and Hag.

I don't think this is fair. Some perks are so awful that if they were active and you didn't see the icon on the bottom of your screen then you'd probably not even be able to tell they were active. You can't possibly make that mistake with this perk since there will be lots of highlighted stuff on your screen. Knowing for certain if you are chasing a survivor in a dead zone or an area with lots of escape options is useful even for experienced killers.
With all that said, I have no intention of unlocking this as a teachable perk since I'll never use it. It doesn't do enough to end chases faster. It doesn't help track survivors. It doesn't stall the game. Those are the 3 things I'm most interested in as a killer.

It's actually game changer.
Knowing where pallets and vault locations are without needing to scout saves a lot of time. When the killer comes I know exactly where I need to go. ๐

Shouldn't perks for newer players be general perks so they can access them without paying for the game AND a dlc?
Oh wait, I'm sorry, I forgot cuz money.

They allow you to get these characters/perks with shards. They don't force anyone to pay for dlc.
Free dlc.

How many shards does a NEW player have?
2 -
You get 10k shards by devotion/player level 50. I'd still consider that obtainable for a new player
0 -
How long would it take a brand new player to achieve that?
In that amount of time couldn't they have learned tile layouts and the general feel for pallets and vaults on the various maps? Would the player be considered a new player after that amount of time?
2 -
Level 50? You could reach that in a week or two of full time play. That's still a new player.
You're still pretty new until you're 1k+ hours in at least with the rate this game progresses and the skill caps.
Even killers like tru with thousands of hours still struggle

I don't know why are they giving this perk into DLC. It would be fine good starting learning Perk.
Locked behind DLC it hurts new players and older ones as well (we could have something more worth it you know...)

DEVOTION level 50, not character level 50 ;)
Edit: I made a mistake not devotion level 50 but player level 50 lol

Devotion 50 would be very spooky

I think the highest I've seen is over 10 below 20 lol
Edit: thanks to this I realized I made a mistake too. Not devotion, not character, but PLAYER level 50 lol Then at 100 it resets to 1 and you gain a devotion level
lol dang these multiple leveling systems...
