Escape does not equal a win. Not for everyone. It's currently a way to END THE GAME quicker. If you murder-rush us, then I just want the game to finish. What's so hard to understand about that?

I don't care about your make believe rules. You don't like it then drop the hatch from the game and make the last survivor work for his escape instead of farming his team to a hatch victory. Slugging is a survivor induced problem that they cause themselves.

I'll see how I'm feeling about it all tomorrow. I'm gonna try to get my Killer and Survivor guides done, as an expression on what ideal games hopefully look like for both sides. If they can use them to change the mentality of the community, then hopefully we can all grow and lower the toxicity levels of this game.

Rampant rise? Can you give any numbers? I would be really curious to know the actual numbers of that. I doubt that this is true and has been in the game forever, this is not taking the game hostage at all. There is a set timer for people who are in the dying state.
Keys are not really balanced, you can open the hatch and if the killer closes it, it will power the exit gates which is laughable at best. Also slugging is not a strategy, it is a tactic and nothing more.

I'm asking you to get off your high-horse and grow up. Getting a 4k doesn't mean much if the community is non-existent in about a year because of people like you. And slugging is NOT a Survivor induced problem. It's lazy and unskilled Killers not wanting to actually try.

Numbers? No. I'm not a Dev. And for the TENTH TIME TONIGHT it never comes to the hatch existing.
And I say "taking the game hostage" as a close approximation to what I literally said later in that sentence which was artificially extending the game timer. Bleedout is long, and when it's all you have for something akin to a fighting chance, too long.

I'm talking after the gate is open, I've had more games than I can count where i've sacrified someone miles from the exit gate and while i'm doing it the gate opens, and the survivors will all stand right before the exit and wait for me to cross the entire map just so they can t-bag where i can see them and then run out as soon as i come closer. I've even stood around the corner out of sight and had them wait from 100% to 1% of the timer before they eventually leave.
My point being, that plenty of survivors are happy to waste their own time for the full duration of the collapse in order to get a t-bag off, so i'm not feeling much sympathy for the argument of slugging wasting their time.

I currently think that the end game is unhealthy for the game.
Let me clarify: If their is 2-1 survivors left and the killer slugs till Till they find them or hook the 3rd and find hatch then go back and fourth between 2 gates that nearly always spawn near each other.
Now that is unhealthy it isn’t fun for survivor or killer and is stressful.

Well, then. You seem to have run into a toxic patch of survivors. The only reason I stick around is mainly for the Survival emblem, which does say it's based on time. That and trying to get a little bit more of the Chaser emblem for stealth and running away.

Slugging for the 4k only exists because of the hatch and slugging is necessary in red ranks.
Before calling something unhealthy, maybe you should try and look for reasons on why things are the way they are. Then you would realize that the actual issue here is the controversial hatch mechanic and that killers simply want their points they worked hard for.

See you say "that nearly always spawn near each other" but i'm pretty sure that is observation bias, because as killer they always seem to be as far as possible from each other, and as survivor they might as well have one door they are so close.

Yeah, uh, so, how many of us are in red ranks? This is an issue that's more about ALL ranks. And unless I'm having a really bad day with Killer, or they're full meme-team of SWF, then I always get at least 1 pip. Even if one of them escapes.

Your are definitely the problem. You have a team that can heal you, so stop being lazy. Obviously if i got to the point where I am slugging the third to get the forth, your team was the one that lacked skill. You just sound salty, I play survivor mostly and being slugged does not bother me as it is apart of the game. I just go do something else. Your blaming killers for a you problem. You don't like being on the ground? Then get your teammates to heal you. Pretty simple but I guess that is to hard for you to comprehend, given your solution to this probelm is "gIvE uS hAtCh, wE gOt No SkIlL!" Grow up.

Okay even from a killer perspective calm it down your ranting they said its not them that gets slugged most of the time its the other person and then the killer hunts them down and kills them. (Which i agree is a strategy) but no need to talk people down about their own opinions this is the forums for that reason.

The principle still stands though. When I play well as a killer and get to the endgame then I’m gonna slug for my 4k, no matter the rank. Why? Because I earned those points and shouldn’t be punished because of a busted game mechanic.

Why would I? Your initial post said that you wanted the killers to basically stop slugging for a 4K. That is the conversation. I said I will slug for a 4K because my objective is to get a 4K to the best of my ability by any means necessary. I don't complain when I get gen rushed. The end game collapse is terrible system in general and rewards bad survivors.

I love when the killer spent so much time searching for the last survivor and they still get out.
Unless we stand a chance of both escaping then I don't mind my team mate not coming to get me. At that stage its just dragging out the match.

I'm saying that if you just hook the other person and they die, it's more rewarding for both sides and quicker overall. And like I also said earlier, a 4k isn't everything. Endgame Collapse isn't just for bad survivors either. It also stops certain survivor groups from trolling the killer further and tells them to gtfo. I'm a pretty decent survivor who gets bad teammates. Killers are punishing me for the mistakes of others.
And no. I want you to put some effort into killing me. Like I did when I dodged you all game, made saves and did generators.

Be happy that the busted ranking system still rewards them quite well simply for playing the game? Accept that maybe a survivor was better than them? Try harder next game and run some detection perks outside of BBq?

What is sounds like to me is that you are very crappy survivor OP and probably main Claudette like your name implies and expect to just urban evasion around the entire map without interacting with the killer the entire game.
I will always slug for the last kill because more than likely they are in SWF anyways just waiting for hatch. You mentioned if killers stopped playing with "cheap tactics and earn their kills", we did, its not our fault Behavior wanted to add in a free escape for survivors who got destroyed.
Also you legit must be in brown - green ranks with your mentality.

I'm purple and my build is Self Care, Spine Chill, Sprint Burst and Bond. Also, I didn't ever say that ALL killers use it. It's bit of a generalisation yes, but they still occur.
And crappy survivor? I'm that one Claudette who actually does stuff. I only keep playing Claudette because I don't have those perks on anyone else, not to mention Claudette's natural stealth ability. I can't run good chase killers, but I can hold my own.

I don't really care about hatch and don't expect to escape every single game unlike killers who feel like they have to 4k every single game by using the most boring "strategy" ever causing a lot of DC's and you can't blame them for it because people got better things to do than waste their time looking at the ground for 4 minutes. Just for your precious 4k especially when you pretty much won at that point.

Mhmm, say what you like but the way you come off is very whiny and entitled. I doubt you are a killer main, you come off very survivor sounding, which is fine. However everything you are crying about is ridiculous. Your post comes off as a rant after getting trashed in a game by a killer that left you slugged to keep the other survivor from getting hatch and that irked you.
You also talk about potato teammates, you realize every survivor thinks that about each other, and I bet they think that about you as well.

Slugging itself is unhealthy not just for 4K and boring to play vs.. yeah yeah unbreakable but i dont want to waste a slot for a perk that activates just once.. come on.. now the new killer has demon mode it makes complete sense to slug ..why would u waste demon timer picking up and hooking if u can run around map wacking ppl with 1 hit down.. new survivour should have had a counter perk for this in someway i feel.

So, defending myself and my position is whiny and entitled? Got it. I'll just go back to being a bully victim. Before you even ask, I was bullied in primary school all the way because kids are cruel, stupid and I had a mole on my face that was obvious, so I was apparently diseased. I eventually learnt to stand up for myself, but it seems that I do so very strongly and passionately.
And I fluctuate between periods of survivor and killer. At the moment, especially with Archives, I'm back to Survivor. It's that I play my killers seemingly as intended, then I get insta-sawed, camped, tunnelled, and my teammates get slugged after I have a wicked stealth game, that I tend to get annoyed with the Killer community at large.
As for the game, it was the other guy who got slugged. Again. It's always the other guy on the floor. It's not the first time, but I'm still sick of it happening.

The only difference between slugging for the 4k and not slugging but still going for the 4k is that if I don't slug then you might escape with the hatch or the exit gates if I close the hatch.
It's not any harder or easier to actually find you, but I can make sure you don't escape in the meantime if I do.
So why would I ever NOT slug?

Game is balanced on a 2/2 scenario. That's what the devs call a win. And I'm not saying that aiming for a 4k is unhealthy, it's the way some people go about it.

Because it wastes 4 minutes of your life, 4 minutes that could be spent getting far more BP for the time in another match with fresh survivors?

The entire point of getting that BP is to unlock more stuff that can be used to further optimize your kill rate.
The end goal is getting the Kill, so I will always prioritize it over BP. Just like I prioritize escaping as a Survivor since that's your wincon.

I'll tell you this, I usually will go out if my way to kill Claudettes because of the fact that they hide all game and most are afraid to actually play the game other than M1 generators.
If you are dying as much as you say maybe you aren't that good of a survivor as you thought.
I agree that tunneling and camping are boring, no one likes that. However don't act like survivors have it hard while SWF exists.

Okay. But this brings up a bigger question: Why aren't you running it if you are getting slugged so often? If slugging is so rampant in your games why are you not running a perk to deal with it? Or what about what's it, that Ash Williams perk that increases your wiggle bar as you recover?
