Suggestion about Hex Totems, Generators and SWF
Here are my few ideas which could help balance out certain issues in the game:
Hex Totems
So It takes one of four killer perks and is always a great gamble as you can lose it permamently without getting any benefit. This is ok as they provide various strong powers. What is totally not fair is the fact that you can lose your hex totem before you even get the chance to protect it in the first place.
So my idea is add 1 minute immunity to all hex totems at the start of the trial. With that every killer will have a fair chance and option to protect his hex totem/s if he chooses to do so. The game is about skill and being dependent on the fact that hex totem spawns on the other side of a long map and gets destroyed in 5 seconds in just totally frustrating.
Also killer should have information which hex totem provides which power. Something like little perk sign hovering above the hex totem whould be just fine. It is quite a difference if you defend Haunted Grounds or Ruin and you as a killer deserve to know.
Generators
They are survivors primary but not only objective. If killer is weak they get completed so fast, especially with proper perks and toolboxes and nobody gets many points and joy of playing the game is quite lost. You wait few minutes for lobby, you wait a minute in the lobby, you wait while game loads and all that for 3 minutes of gen rushed game. Also how can weak killers get better when survivors escape so fast he barely get sight of them? Process of getting better needs time.
I suggest to adjust time needed to repair generators based on the game overall progress. If generators are getting completed too fast the next generator will take more time to complete. If game takes lets say normal pace numbers remain the same. This should force survivors to do different activites in the game and give killer a bit more chance when situation is too much in favor of survivors right from the start of the game and give both sides more fun for time already invested in starting the game. Lore wise the Entity would certainly not allow survivors to escape without a single scratch and would likely alter the enviroment against them.
SWF
I believe killers should have the option to choose if they want to face swf and their size (checkbox for 2SWF, 3SFW and 4SWF/double 2SWF groups). Some people like challenge, some are skilled, some are not. Playing in SWF is long time proven strong advantage that kills half of the game mechanics and provides sometimes very unfair advantage to survivors. The game was created with NO ingame chat or voice communication. Playing with friends directly breaks that. Of course many play this because they have huge fun playing with their friends and thats totally fine but they should face people who are ready and willing chosen to face them. Killers often get very frustrated feelings from this game when they have a bad luck of facing 3 full SWF groups in row scroing only few points and seeing most of people leaving as the 4 coopereated players is just too much for them. Give us the option to choose. It is fair to all sides. You want to play full SWF? You have to wait more time than a single person who can only hope for altruism of others.
